A perfect beach house!

The house has everything you need for when you are at the beach or at the house and yard. Despite being only a two minute walk to the beach, the house and yard are remarkedly quiet and private.

So close to the beach!

Property was very clean, well appointed and solid but the proximity to the beach (3 min walk) is by far the best aspect of this property. Just awesome access to a really beautiful beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Drakes Island

The house was great. We loved being so close to the Drakes Island beach (possibly our favorite beach in southern Maine). We have stayed in many houses on the Maine coast and this was one of the best for our family.

Great house, great location!

The house was perfect for the 8 of us and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. We especially loved the three season room for games and family time in the evening.

We were very pleased with our stay. We particularly enjoyed the sunroom as well as the proximity to the beach. Our arrival and departure were seamless, and communication was excellent! We would highly recommend this property.

Amazing Drakes Island Home

Amazing Stay

The location is absolutely amazing. Beach is even closer than the picture and the beach is perfect for the family! There is even an awesome nature preserve walk within roughly 1/2 mile. We will absolutely come back. The house itself was perfect for the family and plenty of space.

Delight stay! Short walk to beach and the seafood is so very, very good.

Have rented many properties on VRBO and I have to say this was by far the cleanest and had all the amenities we needed. We were somewhat short of spoons and Kim from management property delivered them that very day. You will not be disappointed!

Doesn’t get any better than this!!

I can’t say enough about this property. Location, clean, clean, clean. Linens and towels are top notch. Backyard is perfect! Beds are fantastic. This is literally the best property we’ve rented.

Quaint but short on supplies

Truly great location and property. It’s was missing some essentials that we were not traveling with, such as coffee filters, salt, pepper, nor bath soap. Only a one minute walk to Drake Island Beach. We would stay there again.

Beautiful Location

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful location on Drakes Island! The home was amazing, exceeding our expectations and including everything necessary to have a wonderful week on the coast of Maine. We absolutely loved the beautiful sun room in the back, allowing us to relax and enjoy the beautiful location. We were also able to walk around Drakes Island, being close to the beach and playground which was great with our children. We were also a quick drive to Kennebunkport and Ogunquit, with great access to all of our favorite spots. We would highly recommend this location and hope to come back in the future!

Drakes Island perfection!

We have stayed on Drakes island before but this was an absolutely perfect location and house. The walk is 2-3 mins, house was spotless and well appointed with everything we needed, including beach chairs. The highlights were the bonus hang out room and fire pit, which we used almost every night. The only complaint we had about the house was that the beds were very firm and not to our liking. However, all the other positive aspects definitely outweighed this! We had an amazing stay!

We actually had rented this house last fall but had to cancel for an event at our alma mater. We rescheduled for this June and actually added three nights. We were very happy with the house!! Extremely clean and decorated so nicely!! We loved the room in the back of the house for our morning tea and coffee and in the evening for wine! The kitchen was well stocked. We had a fire in the fire pit and roasted s’mores!! Location was great! Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to others traveling to Wells.

Wonderful house - close to the beach!

The house was exactly as advertised (and even better!). We had such a great time on Drake's Island and the house was a big part of it. It is so close to the beach... literally steps away. And although the water was way too cold for us to swim, the shed had tons of boogie boards and beach chairs for our use. It's such a lovely beach! And the house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The fire pit and grill in the backyard were also awesome. My kids were SO THRILLED to discover the hidden TV nook in the closet of their room... what a fun treat! And it was also so nice for us adults for the kids to have their own place to chill. My favorite part of the house was the sunroom in the back - what a lovely, peaceful place. The owners were super responsive and very helpful. I would highly recommend this house and would go back in a heartbeat!!
