This unique and modern timber frame home is the perfect place for you and your family to restore in between each exciting outdoor adventure.

Basement: Pullout Sofa Bed (can sleep 2), Trundle Bed (2), Queen Bed (2) and blow-up mattress

OUTSIDE: Private deck, outdoor dining table, gas grill, large yard, forest views, new hot tub as of October 2024

INDOOR FEATURES: 3 Smart TVs, modern interior, wood-burning fireplace, 2 living areas, large dining room table, exposed beams, hardwood floors, desk / WFH area.

KITCHEN: Fully equipped, range stove, dishwasher, wooden kitchen island, drip coffee maker, knife set, cutting boards, cooking utensils

BASEMENT / PLAYROOM: Satellite TV with sofa bed, trundle bed and Queen bed (You can sleep an additional 6 people / kids)

GENERAL: High speed fiber internet / WiFi, linens / towels, hair dryer, trash bags, paper towels

GROCERIES: Singleton’s – everything you might need is 10 min away and Shaw’s is a 13 minute drive

Mark's place was the perfect home base for our fall weekend getaway with friends! This is a beautiful home tucked away on a quiet private road, with hiking, swimming, tourist attractions and sightseeing nearby. Check out Buttermilk Falls and the Calvin Coolidge Homestead if you're here when it's warm! The home was very clean and well maintained, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed to cook and dine together. Bedrooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Lots of beautiful craftsmen details in the home. Two nights wasn't enough! We can't wait to come back!

A Secluded Paradise!!

Wonderful ski home

Nothing but good things to say about this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hot tub was great and beds were super comfortable after a long day of skiing. Highly recommend. Owner very responsive and accommodating.

Perfect ski home

The best ski home for a weekend in Vermont. The house was incredibly cozy and was stocked with everything that we needed. It was very clean, a quick drive to Okemo ski resort, and was the perfect home for our family vacation. Would absolutely love to be here again next winter!

Great place!

We had a great stay at Mark’s place. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots/pans/kitchen gadgets we needed to dine in. The home was very clean and communication with Mark was easy. Short drive to Okemo for skiing. We loved the general store in town nearby (Singleton’s)

Ski Weekend

Great Place for Okemo Ski Trip!

Mark's place was perfect for our trip and the home was as advertised. The home was clean and comfortable and about 15 minutes to Okemo. The hot tub was especially nice after a long day of skiing. Would definitely stay here again in the future! The living room area with fireplace and dining room area are also much bigger in person. We fit comfortably with 4 adults, 4 kids under 10 and one dog.

Perfect Ski Getaway

This house met all our criteria for a weekend ski getaway. Located a short 15 minute drive from Okemo, this house had everything we needed to relax after a full day of skiing. While we had a smaller group, this house would perfectly accommodate a much larger group with two separate living areas, bathrooms on each floor, and a large eat-in kitchen. The hot tub was a greatly appreciated amenity, and I would stay here again if in the area.

Great Get Away

Overall our family of 5 fit very comfortably in this property and really enjoyed the stay. Hot tub was great after skiing and it was great to relax by the wood burning fireplace. Close to Okemo which made it a breeze to get to and from the slopes. Cell service isn’t great - so be sure to print the check-in instructions or take save a screenshot ahead of arriving so you can refer to it as you get connected to wi-fi. Highly recommend this spot and hope to be back in the future.

Amazing House and Host

The house is amazing. There were 7 of us and there was plenty of room. We loved the hot tub and the big dining room table which allowed us to play games and eat together. Perfect for a quick getaway

Mark’s house has everything you’ll need for a family get away. We had a family group plus 2 dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans for cooking in. Our kids loved the finished basement space for hanging out after a day of skiing. The adults loved soaking in the hot tub! We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Ludlow!

Excellent and clear communication with the owner before, during, and after the stay. Open arrival, the home was welcoming with automatic outdoor lighting, some lights on inside, and easy-to-follow entry instructions. The house is large enough for big families and groups, so there was more than enough room for 3 adults. Having this property dog-friendly was one of the reasons I booked, but ended up not bringing the dog...and 3 other adults. The home is well-kept and clean. TV with satellite channels was a welcomed addition, not that TV was too important on our trip. Hot tub was clean, ready to use, and enjoyable out on the back deck.The location? It's a bit tricky and may not be perfect for everybody, but we loved it. We split our time between Ludow and Killington, so ideal for our group. Other reviews note that it's very rural, which is true. Very safe area with privacy.Things that were important that didn't disappoint - beds were comfortable and showers/bathrooms were clean and worked well (water pressure, etc).Would not hesitate to recommend this place to others or book again.Thanks for the beautiful home!

Vermont Country Home

I would like to thank mark for an absolutely outstanding autumn weekend in Vermont. The booking and rental process for his lovely home was flawless. Our stay was quiet and comfortable with all the amenities provided and our pup Jax was in his glory laying by the fireplace and roaming the property.The hot tub was a nice added feature provided an additional warmth to the fall season. We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and are looking forward to possibly returning during the Okemo ski season

Nice fall weekend

We enjoyed a nice fall weekend at this house- our group found everything we needed to relax at this home, which was comfortable and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub, which was clean and in good working order. The house directions were clear and included everything we needed to know. It is very dark so try not to arrive at night as it could be hard to find. About 13 min drive to downtown Ludlow with restaurants and grocery store.

Mark was very gracious about our stay, given the flooding that happened before we got there with more anticipated during. He offered to extend the stay or move it to a later date. In the end, rather than add to the local burden, we opted to postpone.

Ludlow, VT Beautiful House with Large Deck and Front Porch in a Rural Setting

The accomodations were excellent - 4 bathrooms, all being clean, - the living space is beautiful and very comfortable for 4 adults, 2 kids and a dog. And the hot tub on the large deck was a welcome treat with piped-in music. The house is located on a country dirt road - good for walking the dog and exploring lots of scenic vistas. We used the grill on the deck, and the kitchen was well stocked - the water coming out of the refrigerator door’s filtering system was so good that one of us became a convert to drinking. water. We really enjoyed our family vacation in this beautiful home.

Excellent despite frigid weather

Mark was a super host, very responsive and the house was super clean and stocked with everything you would need and more. There was plenty of space and the beds were extremely comfortable. We stayed for two nights this past weekend when the temperature was actually -25 with wind chill of -42 and we put the heating system to work, we were comfortable and warm, the fireplace was great and there was plenty of wood. Unfortunately it was too chilly outside for us to use the hot tub, two of us braved it for a quick minute. We skied at Killington on Sunday and we’re about 30 minutes from there. The location is perfect to ski at either Okemo or Killington. Would definitely recommend Mark’s place and would love the chance to stay here again.

Wonderful get-away!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house is beautiful, very spacious, and well-stocked with all the things you would need for a stay. It's also very quiet, on a secluded lot, but near town and the lake. It's a great find! The only difficulty we had was that google maps sent us to the wrong end of the very long street and we lost cell service when we got close to the house and had to drive back and forth a bunch of times to find it (the house numbers don't really go in order). When we finally did find the house, we found there was no cellular service there and no information on the wifi network, so we had to go back out to find service to message the owner to get the wifi password (he was very responsive). Besides the bumpy arrival, it was a really wonderful place to stay and we'd highly recommend it!

Wonderful stay in beautiful rural home

Everything was as described on the listing -- or even better! Plenty of space for everyone, comfy living room, large dining room table. There was even a smaller table for puzzles and games! The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and cookware we could possibly need. 3 full baths plus a half bath. Three bedrooms upstairs plus three twin beds (bed, daybed, trundle) in the basement den. PLENTY of space. Hot tub was wonderful, back deck a nice place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. You do need to know this location is rural/isolated, in a lovely way. It takes about 17 minutes to get into town to restaurants and grocery stores. We so enjoyed the beautiful drive past forests and meadows when we needed to go into town. Highly recommend this rental!
