Charming house surrounded by olive trees and naturals pools

Welcome to Fanghetto, a beautiful and scenic 13th-century village.
Its houses are built of stone, and the streets are small, narrow and pedestrian. The village was built by monks in the heart of the olive trees.
The village is perched on its rock in the heart of the Roya Valley, on the French-Italian border.

Fanghetto is just a few minutes' walking distance from the River Roya. We've written a guide to indicate our guests, the best bathing spots around the house. Some spots can be reached by taking a stroll through the terraced olive trees... at the end of the path you'll find gorgeous naturals and wild pools, or sandy beaches along the Roya.

Just a few minutes' walking distance from the house, along the main road, you'll find our local grocery store and bar. Marisa will open her « Alibaba » cave to you in a typically Italian atmosphere.

Free parking is available below the village, 3 minutes walking from the house.

The Roya Valley has remained authentic and picturesque, untouched by mass tourism.
Drained by a 60 km-long river (Roya), the valley is rich in heritage, history and outdoor activities : Mercantour national park, Vallée des Merveilles, typical French and Italian villages : Tende, Saorge, Breil/sur/Roya, Fanghetto, Airole and its vineyards ....

Mediterranean beaches are around 20 minutes driving from Fanghetto. Cities on the Italian or French Riviera are at least 30 minutes away : San-Remo, Menton, Monaco, Nice...
The Ventimiglia train station serves all the towns on the Riviera, and the route by train is both picturesque and sublime...take advantage of a stopover in Ventimiglia to stroll through its daily market... and its stalls of fresh fishes.

The house is a charming, typical stone house with vaulted rooms :
- A semi-buried master suite (with a bathroom) for natural freshness throughout your stay. Separated from the house by a private passageway. ( See Architect Plan)
- A fully-equipped kitchen with a balcony for your outdoor showers
- An upstairs living room with a beautiful view of the valley. A third person can occupy a single bed.
- A private terrace, partly under the vines, for outdoor meals.
