Cable Lake Cottage is located in the Sister Lakes area of Southwest Michigan. It is about 2 hours from Chicago, 45 minutes from South Bend, and less than 3 hours from Detroit.

This charming, fully renovated, waterfront craftsman style cottage features 3+ bedrooms and 2 full baths with private beach and central air-conditioning. Our paddleboats, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, floating swim raft, and sand toys are included. A gorgeous new pier provides ample space for lounging and fishing. Modern floors, updated kitchen and bathrooms, new plumbing/electric/HVAC/water softener/well, and inviting decor will welcome you and give you the perfect luxury lake vacation. Wireless internet is ready for your use. When you're ready to relax, a smart TV provides access to your streaming apps (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc) in addition to cable. On rainy days, choose from a selection of games or movies for a DVD player or Nintendo 64. Central air conditioning keeps you comfortable all summer. The home sleeps up to 12.

Upstairs features a master bedroom with a king bed and a crib, a second bedroom with a queen bed and room for a provided pack and play, a third bedroom with two sets of twin bunk beds, and a flex space with a full bed. The lower level family room has a pull-out couch. There is a full bathroom conveniently located on each floor. The main level features a kitchen, family room, two dining areas, and a full bathroom with shower. The home is equipped with central air, heat, and a washer/dryer. Linens are provided.

Our home has over 80 feet of private sand beach leading into the gradual entry lake. Excellent for kids! The floating swim raft with reclined seats and a slide offers the best seat in the house. The beach was re-sanded in May 2025 and is full of soft, clean sand. A new upper tier beach was built in June 2019 to provide beach space even when water levels are high. Adirondack chairs and a large bench are provided on the beach. The firepit in the sand is a magical place to end the day.

The yard features a large playset with swings for kids and also a Step 2 climber for toddlers. There is over 1200sf of beautiful decking to welcome you comfortably to the outdoors. The front porch offers a quiet respite to enjoy the birds and trees. The upper level deck is on the lakeside and features comfortable sectional seating and breathtaking lake views. The lower level deck offers direct access to the kitchen and features two dining areas and additional seating.

This home is located on the 90-acre Cable Lake, which is a private, non-motor lake in Sister Lakes, MI. This quiet, clean lake is perfect for stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, paddle boating, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, and swimming. The fishing is outstanding on Cable Lake.

Cable and the surrounding lakes offer fishing for panfish, bass, walleye, pike, and musky. The St Joseph river is a true fishing destination and just 20 minutes away. Depending on the time of year, renowned steelhead fishing, as well as coho and king salmon, walleye, smallmouth bass, pike, and panfish are available.

We also have platted access to a dedicated boat launch less than 1/4 mile away for all-sport Little Crooked Lake, so bring your boats and water toys and enjoy the best of both worlds! Five additional all-sport lakes lie within a few miles of the property.

Please note that some amenities are stored for winter during the low season. From approximately mid-October through end of April, the pier and swim raft are taken out, watercraft and sand toys are removed and stored for the winter, and outdoor furniture cushions are stored. Amenities are reinstated as soon as weather and conditions permit.
