The Freshwater Bay cottage sits nestled between the mountains and the water of the enchanting Olympic Peninsula. The home enjoys 180 degrees of landscapes including the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Striped Peak, and Mt. Baker. The house is only 0.5mi from the Freshwater Bay beach and boat launch and an easily accessible 20-minute drive from downtown Port Angeles. It sits minutes away from beautiful hiking trails from Salt Creek to the Olympic National Park.

Sitting on 4 acres, this 2000 sq. ft. home is perfect for families, groups, or couples wanting an authentic pacific northwest coast experience. Decorated with unique pacific northwest art, comfortably enjoy 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a large kitchen, and a deck.

The homeowners live in a 'tiny cabin' near by the house with their two dogs and have access to the attached shop at the rental house. This is a "working" property, with home owners moving machinery equipment and working on projects around the house to upkeep the property. The owners are are happy to give you helpful tips to explore the beautiful Olympic peninsula!

Wonderful family reunion

Very well-appointed comfortable home in a great location for access to the Olympic peninsula and surrounding areas. The house was clean and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals easily. We would most definitely stay here again.

Great house with easy access to park

After a long day in Park there is nothing quite like a place that feels like home and has a hot tub to work out the kinks Great hosts who were very responsive.

This house was amazing! Close enough to everything in Olympic National Park, so the drive was not too far to all the great hikes, ocean, streams and lakes! The owners were so nice and helpful! They had everything you needed at the house and the beds were comfy! The hot tub was wonderful after a long day adventuring. We will return!

Fantastic visit!

This was a great location to explore Olympic National Park! The house was well appointed with everything we needed. I would definitely stay there again in the future if we were back in the area!

Great escape!

Our family of six enjoyed our time in the mountains! The cabin offered a tranquil oasis after a full day of exploring all that the area had to offer. We loved sitting out on the deck and watching all of the deer and birds in the yard. It is clear the hosts work hard to make their home comfortable and inviting. Would definitely return!

Washington Delight

Spent a couple days here - group of 5 friends - it was delightful! The beds were really comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms clean and supplied with everything we needed. The location is so peaceful - deer down below every night - leaving us rested for hiking and berry picking during the days! Lauren brought us fresh eggs that were the real deal! She was a very friendly and thoughtful host. 5 stars.

Nice large property

Saw a lot of deer from the property and enjoyed the hot tub. restaurants are 15 - 20 mins away but nice home with a lot of privacy.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The views were gorgeous, close enough to town but far away enough to feel we got away from the hustle and bustle of life. The hosts were so nice and accomodating. Definitely recommend!

Girls Getaway

Great long weekend stay at the property with comfortable beds and pillows. Amenities in the kitchen were great and the property manager left us fresh eggs and honey which was a thoughtful touch. The house is decorated very tastefully and the hot tub was nice after a day full of activity. Overall, great space and stay!

Comfy and Cozy

We are Twilight fans and wanted to explore the coastal region. Lauren’s and Dominic’s home was perfectly located for us to explore Port Angeles and the beautiful drive to Forks and La Push. They have a beautiful herb garden, local deer nearby, and were incredibly helpful. Thanks for a fun stay!

Just perfect

We had a wonderful week at Lauren and Dom’s home. For ourselves, 2 kids and 2 grandparents the space was perfect. It was a great home base to see all of the Olympic peninsula highlights, and we so enjoyed the porch and views for coffee, hot tub and relaxing. Lauren was such a gracious host - we cannot recommend highly enough! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Improvement recommended

The jacuzzi tub in apparent master could be improved by mounting a bracket on the wall for the shower handle. As an older adult who could not easily sit down and shower, that would have made the process safer and enjoyable. Also a couple of the kitchen cabinet doors did not remain closed. I walked into a couple. Overall, a wonderful property. Thanks.

So beautiful, so comfortable!

We were so delighted with this clean, comfortable, and calm cottage. It was the perfect spot for our group of Alaska friends while biking the Olympic Discovery Trail. We continually were saying “come look at this!” For all the artwork and antiques. We wish we had stayed there for our whole trip. The hot tub was so relaxing, and so many nice touches like a variety of games. Thank you to fabulous hosts Lauren and Dominique!

Perfect rental for our family of 5

This rental had the WOW factor upon entry. Our kids classified it as "Lux." The rental is thoughtfully decorated and inviting and had the bonus of a variety of green plants. It was clean, well-stocked, and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. It was SO nice to return from our Washington adventures to this rental, complete with the hot tub, hammock, and gorgeous views. Thank you Dominic and Lauren for a wonderful experience!

Great location for ONP exploring

This place was great for six adults. Nice to have three bathrooms, but note there's only one shower with the big bath + shower hose in the primary bedroom, and plenty of room to lounge and cook. The kitchen was STOCKED with whatever appliances and pans you need. We loved the hot tub, the propane fire (esp. with the burn ban), and looking up at the stars at night. The parks nearby were great for tide pooling and marine sightings (family of otters!)--and ONP destinations arent too far away considering how sprawling the park/area is. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful photos, even better in person!!!

My spouse, sister, parents and I enjoyed four nights here. An absolutely stunning area in the foothills of the Olympics. Peaceful and beautiful. Home was in great shape and very thoughtfully prepared - we felt welcomed the moment we walked in. We enjoyed the cozy wood burning stove and hot tub as fall began to cool things down. Hosts were amazing!! We had delicious coffee beans and fresh local chicken eggs from neighbors as gifts that we very much enjoyed, and they also gave us fresh pears that were in season. A fantastic stay, we hope to be back!!

Amazing Vacation

Freshwater Bay Cottage was an ideal location for our visit to Olympic National Park. It is located in a very peaceful rural area (lots of deer!), but centrally located for visiting mountains, the Pacific coast, rainforests, and of course Port Angeles for all of our needs. Our family loved the cottage, especially the hot tub. The owners were very responsive and hospitable, and you wouldn't know they live near the property except for the occasional car driving by. During our stay, there was a plumbing problem which limited our use of the master tub & toilet area. The owners were responsive about the issue, but it will require some repair work. It was a minor inconvenience for our visit, but it needs to be addressed for future guests. Despite this issue, our family rated it 5 stars. Thanks!

Lovely home base for exploring nearby nature

Great location

Property as described in listing. Beautiful views, great location. We didn't stay full length of reservation due to winter storms, but this is definitely a place to come back to in the summertime. Houses 4 people comfortably, and host has lots of extra amenities that make it a great place to stay.

Enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was fully stocked with all items needed, was very clean, spacious, and beds were comfortable. Our children enjoyed playing in the yard and finding ships in the nearby sea. This was a great location to Olympic National Park and the nearby town. I highly recommend staying here.

Lovely spot and hosts

The house is spacious and has everything you need. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fresh eggs . Beds are comfortable. Port Angeles is 20 minutes away if you need anything, Lake Crescent is also 20 minutes away. We would stay here again for sure!

Dominic and Lauren call the Olympic Peninsula home and are eager to share our home and this beautiful place with new visitors! In our free time, we love to be outside surfing, mountain biking, fishing, and skiing and playing with our pups Odi and Tucker.

The homeowners live in a cabin at the bottom of the 4-acre property with there two dogs and are happy to give you helpful tips to explore the beautiful Olympic peninsula!
