Wedding weekend
The house was exactly as pictured and excellent for the stay. The outdoor space was lovely for our wedding and everyone thought it was a great location/venue. Prior to the weekend communication was excellent but when it came time to actually being there, communication went downhill. A wedding can be high stress so having that happen was frustrating; however, the owner did get someone to come mow the outdoor event space on the day of the event and it gave us just enough time to finish decorating. I honestly loved the place and would do it there again even with the unexpected hiccups. Also, the recommendation for table rentals was a wonderful recommendation and the owner also let us come see the property prior to the event so we could get an idea of how we would decorate, etc. While I understand things can happen, I just wish the outdoor part was prepared by the owner prior to our arrival rather than during our stay. Or at the very least communication beforehand telling us it wasn’t ready but what their plan was to get it ready. Instead we were the ones initiating communication (with delayed response time) upon our arrival to the unprepared outdoor space. It would have been better for the event timeline and our own peace of mind. But again, I would do it all over! The space was beautiful.
