Hello! My name is Nik Doda and I am your host! I am the Italian-American owner of this luxury apartment which is located in one of the most prestigious areas of the city. Located on the ground floor of a deluxe building no elevator is required. This location is the most desirable, as it is within easy walking distance to the city center as well as convenient public transportation. Pay parking is easily available close by. The building is from the 1800's with original frescoes and other details.

This deluxe ground floor apartment has been fully renovated recently with every modern amenity. Even the 18th century frescoes have been lovingly restored by a local artist! This luxury apartment has HEATED floors throughout and consists of 1 double bedrooms and 1 marble bathroom with a rain shower. The bedroom has one American Queen size bed suitable for 2 people. There is an open plan kitchen with a dining table, a living area with a sofa and HD TV. Ideal for one couples (no children or infants please) for a short or medium term rental. This elegant apartment close to the new Opera house and Cascine Park, is fully sound-proof and is the perfect choice for a wonderful experience in Florence.

In this apartment you will find a clothes washer & dryer, hairdryer, oven, fridge, toaster, microwave, espresso coffee maker and gas cooker and all necessary kitchenware. Linens and towels are provided. Please treat everything as if it were in your own home and clean up after yourself.

Air conditioning & Heating is at your disposal. When you are not in the apartment, please turn off all the lights, heating and air conditioning.

Cleaning is included for each rental up to 7 nights. If you are going to stay longer than 7 nights then there will be an extra 50 Euros cleaning charge in cash, payable upon arrival, for every extra 7 nights stay or part thereof. This fee includes cleaning and change of linens and towels.

I follow enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights:

I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob
I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
I clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists
I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay
I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines

The entire apartment is at your disposal.

In case you don't have a phone, you can ask the taxi driver and use his/her phone.

Very nicely renovated apartment that looked just like the photos online. Very clean, spacious and had all of the amenities that we were looking for. The in-suite laundry was great to have mid way through our 15 day trip. Nike, the host, provided a helpful list of supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes. About a 25 minute walk to the heart of Florence, along the river a good portion of the way. We liked being out of the craziness of the tourist area but you need to be prepared to walk a bit or take a taxi. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

The host is absolutely amazing! Prior to arriving, he provided us a list of recommended restaurants that we followed and they were all great. As for the apartment, it’s clean and very nice; and the ceiling in the bedroom is beautiful. The apartment is a bit outside of the center of the city, so it requires a bit more walking, but it’s absolutely worth it. We will be recommending this one to all our friends and family!

Incredible stay, incredible hospitality, the place is fantastic! Nik was super helpful. He left water in the fridge which at the end of every night was needed. He helped me get a taxi when I needed to get back to the airport. He made may stay in Italy so much better. It has AC, it has a washer and dryer, 15 minute walk from the train station, and an easy stroll to the city center.

Family Fun in Florence

The apartment was great. All the amenities one could want or need. It is on the ground floor so no need to lug suitcases up stairs. Fully air conditioned for a comfortable summer visit. Safe and secure with exterior door and apartment door locks. It is in a nice quiet area which is break from the crowds and bustle of the tourist areas.Nik is a caring and available host with a friendly personality. He is local and always promptly answered queries and made suggestions to make our stay easier.Thank you Nik!

Perfection!

Perfection..a superlative that in this case needs further superlatives in order to complete the story..incredible host..incredible apartment. Right from selecting the property..clear..concise description and information..the pictures hardly do the property justice..make the booking and Nik is communicating with us..and then we wait for our trip to begin..and then we are in communication again..walking us through our arrival in Florence to the front door..transportation is super easy..almost literally to the front door.Into nirvana..it was as hot as stink in Florence 41C..the apartment is cool..and stunning..recently renovated..everything is as it should be..comfortably furnished..awesome bed..great kitchen..fantastic bathroom..washer and drier..and lots of amenities..you think this would be a premium priced apartment..it was very fair and affordable.It’s fairly central location makes it an excellent jump off point..far enough away from the racket..close enough for an easy walk into town..enough local restaurants around..a market or two..a nice walk to an outdoor pool..a roughly 15 minute walk to the central train station ( or probably a 6 minute ride on the T1 tram ) Everything just feels right about the host Nik, and the property. If you get the chance..go for it..you will definitely get the best!!

Relaxed in Florence

Nik our host was very attentive. He met us when we arrived and was a welcoming and provided us with a wealth of information. The accommodations were beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. This was our most relaxing stay on our 5 city Italy vacation. Nik went out of his way on our final day in Florence to find us a taxi to the train station during the countywide transportation strike.This was by far our best VRBO we stayed in in Italy!

Nik is a phenomenal host. He met us upon arrival, explained everything in the apartment and made us feel comfortable right away. The apartment is in excellent condition and though we were only there for 4 nights, it has everything needed for a long term stay. The bed is comfy, there is plenty of hot water and the washer and dryer are a tremendous plus. 10/10 recommend!

Beautiful property in Florence

We have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties and this might be the MOST comfortable property we have even stayed in. It is a very large one bedroom and incredibly well appointed. We could have comfortably stayed for a month. It is a little outside of the center of Florence, but in a stunning area right on the river. If you enjoy walking you can stroll along the river right into the central area of town. I would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Florence.

Wonderful apartment!

My daughter and I stayed here for a week to attend a wedding. Nik was very helpful and provided a lot of information from start to finish. He met us promptly at the apartment and showed us around. The apartment is beautiful and provided everything we may have needed and more. The bed was comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet at night. The apartment is very secure as both the front door and apartment door lock with deadbolts. There is also a great restaurant right next door, the Borderline. We had dinner there and it was outstanding. The apartment is about a 15 miinute walk to the city center and the attractions. Overall we loved this apartment and would highly recommend it and would stay there again should we be in Florence.us

Excellent place in Florence!

Highly recommend! Nik was a gracious host. The space was perfect for us and very clean. We were able to walk everywhere. Bedroom was very spacious and bathroom very nice. Large full length mirror in hallway with outlet right beside. Very helpful in getting ready. If you are a couple looking for a great place to stay in Florence, book this!

Wonderful Experience!!

This was wonderful in every way. The unit was sparkling clean, completely updated and without question the nicest place we stayed during our 15 day Italy vacation. Nik was a delight and helped us from the start - in protecting our car - and making recommendations for places to dine. He also gave some recommendations for Venice, his original home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Florence and our interaction with Nik!

Beautiful apartment!

Spacious clean and very modern. Had a washer and dryer that was also helpful during a 3 week trip to Italy. My only complaint was the thermostat was set at a specific temperature and couldn't be lowered. The first couple of nights it was warm and stuffy. After the weather cooled it was much more manageable to sleep. Overall though it was a beautiful apartment.

Great Stay in Florence

This apartment was very nice! It’s in a quieter part of Florence, Italy. It is close the river and the US Consulate. The apartment has a large bedroom, access to a washer/dryer, and every other amenity anyone would need for a relatively short stay. The owner is extremely nice and very helpful, giving vacation tips to anyone who asks. This is truly a five star stay.

Great property and in accessible yet off the beaten path location

Nik/Mandy were exceptional hosts. They stayed in contact with me leading up to the trip, provided recommendations for activities, dining, and transportation. The apartment was clean, spacious, and just a short 15-20 minute walk to popular attractions and the train station. I had a couple of questions during my stay and received a prompt response. I would definitely choose this property again.

At this location, you will not be the one dragging your luggage through hundreds of tourists to get to the station/airport! The apartment is well served by public transport such as mini-buses and tramvia from the "Leopolda" station right in front of the house, and is located just minutes from all the major sights such as the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and the historical heart of the city. Very close to central train station Santa Maria Novella (10 minutes walk or 1 stop by tramway) and 20 minutes by car from the Airport.

For lovers of concerts, ballets and operas, the New Opera House is located just across the street from this apartment. The US Consulate & the French Consulate are very close as are several 5 star hotels including the St. Regis and the Westin Excelsior, which has a rooftop bar with an awesome view of the Arno river the Duomo and the bridges of Florence!

Cascine park, the green lungs of the city, where you can relax, jog and bike ride, attend a music festival in the summer or pick up an antique at a weekend flea market or have an aperitivo at the Pavoniere public swimming pool, among centuries old trees, is just 2 minutes away.

The area has all amenities such as supermarkets, shops, banks, a post office and pharmacies. There are several cafe's, bars & restaurants serving local and international food such as Indian, Korean, Mexican, Chinese and Japanese cuisines.
