The Owner of Castlehaven cancelled our booking the morning we were do to check in. We had to scramble to find lodging. I would not book Castlehaven again.

Not Ready For Guest

It’s 100 degrees in Houston in July. The air conditioning was not working properly. Inside the house temperature never got below 75 degrees. The owner must have known about this problem because there was a stand up fan in all the rooms blowing hot air. The grass was 6-7 inches long. We arrived Thursday night, he cut the grass Saturday morning. The actual inside of the house was decent and would’ve been nice if we had air.

Decent

Our stay was decent but we did encounter some issues. There were some bugs in the property and the A/C doesn't cool the entire house. But, the owner was quick to respond and addressed all of my concerns which I appreciated.

Concert getaway

Great communication with owner. Extremely friendly and flexible with our travel schedule. Space was perfect for our family size. Space and restrooms were perfect for our girls to get ready for the big Taylor Swift concert. Travel time to stadium was ideal so arrived on time. Highly recommend!

The house is very old with no upgrades. the cleaniness of the back yard was unacceptable.

The home needs an entire upgrade, you should not allow ABNB to be placed in this type of neighborhood. The Connor store is dangerous, really sad.

Review

The home was good for the price. The neighborhood seemed to be quiet during the time we were there. The only problems we had was with the downstairs bath. There is a drainage problem with the tub and shower that caused water to leak from the bath to the livingroom hall. The host was notified. He came by on the day before we left and did a temporary fix. A licensed plumber need to access the problem.

Good stay, Great host

Would recommend 10/10. Home is very spacious. Host Is very responsive, kind, and dependable. My family and I enjoyed ourselves as the host made the entire process a smooth and welcoming experience. Only one room gets a little warm but fans were in the home and helped cool down to a comfortable temperature. All other rooms were cool. I would definitely stay again

My family of 8 had plenty of room in this home. The owner even has air mattresses in case you needed more sleeping arrangements.

Overall it was ok.

The house is wasn't clean on our arrival. The property owner came right away and clean it. The refrigerator wasn't getting the food cold enough . There Dog 💩 in the back yard. A.C wasn't cooling like it should of. But overall it was ok.

A/C unit not operational

The home was nice except for the very large roaches that came out aftet 9pm.( i know a guy who is excellent at keeping the bugs away and hes super affordable no bugs for me for 6 years now email me for contact info it you want) The A/C read 73 with a humidity of 84% and above inside the home but it was super hot inside the house despite the temp reading . Its not like it was several bodies inside the house while it cooled down 1 person was in it for 4 hours. I tried turning it down and it never cooled off. I closed doors and everything. I told the owner he told me i had to wait til the sun went down for the house to cool off!!. I did...IT DID NOT!!! I ended up having to go to the store to buy fans to keep comfortable the 10 of us. We all had to sleep in our underwear with box fans going. Thanks for the stay but its houston tx A/c is essential. Hope he gets it fixed before his next guest.
