Wake up in the morning to the sound of three creeks running past this beautiful 6BR log cabin homestead property. Smell fresh coffee your friends are brewing on the propane stove downstairs as you try to get out of your cozy bed. Thoughts of last evenings BBQ on the wrap around porch brings a smile to your face. Breathe in the fresh clean forest air from the middle of the Willamette National Forest as you enjoy your true off-the-grid-living getaway experience. What next?

Hang out at the cabin and enjoy the sound of the river and the wind in the trees.

Walk out the back door and fly fish in the creek behind the cabin. Careful not to snag your child's tube.

Check out Fall Creek Reservoir which is just a few miles down the road for water sports like Skiing, swimming, etc.

Great hiking along the creek all the way up and down the road. This is a beautiful part of Oregon.

Full electricity with solar and battery power and if required backup generator.

The house was very comfortable and the overall process was very smooth and we had no problems. The place is remote and the owner appropriately advised us in advance. Given that our group was 10 (originally booked for 12), it would have been helpful if the house would have been more well stocked with toilet paper. its about an hour drive to buy anything.

Great place for family reunion!

The property was perfect for our 3 generation reunion. The kitchen supplies, games, bedding, towels (inside & out) ,beds & tvs were plentiful. We grilled outside, played most of the days finding swimming holes up & down the creek. Also fishing, catch & release was great. We Loved lying on the porch at night watching the constellations and shooting stars. Everyone wants to visit every year! Ages 6 - 83!

Refreshing

The fire last year made the Cabin very isolated and quiet. We enjoyed long walks, grilled out many of our meals, and had every amenity we needed. Thank you for making our stay welcoming and wonderful. We would highly recommend this.

Just a great spot to kick back and relax. We had our grand dog for a few days and this was perfect for her.

Amazing property

This place worked out great for us! The cabin is really nice, well kept, and well stocked with everything we needed. There is so much to do in this area. The kids loved playing around the pond catching tadpoles. The creek is really nice, kid friendly, and offered good fishing while we were there. The property manager was super responsive and flexible. Being off-grid setup I expected it to be more rustic and limited than It really is, that didn't really effect our stay. My only small gripe was the Traeger grill/smoker, It was finicky and a propane grill would be easier for most people. We did make some amazing smoked trout on it though!

My family originally came to Oregon on the Belshaw wagon train in 1853 eventually settling in the Willamette Valley. The Hayden family has actively lived on the homestead for over 50 years. There has never been conventional power to this area nor are there any plans for it.

I built this log cabin with help from friends and family to keep my family and now your family cozy on about 85% green power. We believe you will be pleasantly surprised how little you notice being on battery/solar power most if not all of the day. If you request additional power or want a 100% green energy only stay we will soon be able to accommodate.

SPECIAL EVENTS AT THE CABIN

Special events such as weddings and reunions are allowed on the property during your stay. In fact the owner and his wife hosted their wedding reception on this beautiful property with great success when they got married. With that experience we can help you prepare for such an occasion at this location. Should you choose to book your event during your stay at the cabin we will provide these additional extras that don’t otherwise come with your log cabin booking.

1. Additional parking area for your event.

2. A 24 foot by 60 foot covered outdoor area to be used how you envision your event including space to prepare. It also provides outdoor shade from the sun, a back up protection plan from any weather you might have or covered seating.

3. This additional event access area is available for three days from 12:00 noon the day prior to the wedding until noon the day after the event giving ample time for setup/staging before and after.

4. A property concierge will be available to you through out your event to help with the uniqueness of this location.

5. Access to an additional off the grid power system independent from your log cabin system for your event power needs.

6. The three days and additional access to our event facility can be booked to a single fee of $3000.
