The Alki Beachaus

The Alki Beachaus is located about half a block from Alki Beach, allowing for easy access to the beach, restaurants, and bars along the beach. Being half a block away, the property is also insulated from a majority of the noise on the beach so you can enjoy a quiet and comfy experience in the house. There is also super fast WiFi!

You will be staying in an 1,100 sq ft daylight basement of a split level home with two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a dining area, spacious living room, and fully featured kitchenette. Several windows illuminate the space brightly. One of the great advantages is that the space stays relatively cool all year round. Nearly all of the windows open up to allow the breeze to bring in the crisp ocean smell into the space. If the space gets too hot or cold, the home is equipped with central heating, and air conditioning to ensure that you will be comfortable! The space has its own separate and private entrance. The entryway has access to a washer and dryer free of charge if you need to use them. You will enter the space from a side gate from the front of the house. Parking will consist of street parking near our home (within 1 block), but may not be directly in front of the home. The backyard is fully fenced and features a fire pit and gas grill.

The hosts live upstairs and have two young children (5 and 7 yr olds). The children may occasionally be heard downstairs (footsteps, talking, laughing). They go to bed at 8pm and are great sleepers! The hosts can respond to any concern quite rapidly, but will not interrupt your visit or intrude on your space.

Please note that the backyard is a shared space and you might interact with the hosts or the children in that space. The washer and dryer on site are free to use, but are shared with the hosts.

Great place near the beach

Exceeded our expecrations

I loved this property! It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Our hosts provided us with detailed instructions on how to get access to and into the property. The location of the property was close to everything. We walked everywhere. Our accommodations included an excess of everything. We had extra sheets, blankets, pillows and towels that were very clean. Our hosts provided snacks, drinks and extra toiletries. Although the hosts also live on the property, we had lots of privacy. The only negative is the lack of on-site parking. I would recommend renting a smaller car since we had a Ford Expedition and had more difficulty with finding parking in the neighborhood. Overall, I give this property an excellent rating.

It was absolutely perfect for what we needed.

We had many places to be while attending a Canada day trip, 5th wedding anniversary, and our uncles 76th birthday...The location and hostess made all the chaos manageable and comfortable.Highly recommend this location for anyone staying in West Seattle

Girls concert weekend

Weekend in Alki

This VRBO listing could not have have been better. The cleanliness, location, spacious accommodations and consideration of the hosts were superb. My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend to visit my brother and were floored by the details of consideration. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great stay!

The Alki Beachahaus is a great property in a fun location and managed by amazing owners. The home was spotless, roomy and had everything that we needed. Alki is a cool neighborhood with lots of places to explore including the beach, tidal pools and lighthouse as well as some good restaurants. Much thanks to the owners who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

Great stay for visiting Alki Beach

We had a great time. We jam packed the place a bit with our two families, but it was perfect for our visit around West Seattle and downtown Seattle. The host was great and kept us updated. Definitely recommend! Thanks!

Great for young family

Very nice rental for a young family. They provided some basics in the fridge and had some great toys for the kids, including beach toys. Very short walk to the beach but the beach bathrooms and restaurants were a few blocks down. Smooth check in/out process.

Great Experience

Our experience was perfect. The property is extremely well-thought out and had everything we needed. The beach and restaurants were in walking distance. It had lots of toys and activities for the 5- year-old and a perfect set up for the 4 adults in the group. The host was very kind. This place is a gem and the location is ideal.

The Alki Beachaus is Perfect!

I can’t rave enough about this listing. Great location. Right by Alki (easy three minute walk), but far enough away that it was very peaceful. So, so clean. Fantastically equipped and so many thoughtful amenities. Plus, a great selection of toys and games. We can’t wait for our next trip!

Wonderful family friendly place

Our stay was amazing. All the thoughtful details the Tanner's put into making us comfortable were great. From a welcoming bottle of wine and snacks to the nice toiletries in the bathroom. They've made the house easy to access incorporating modern technology into check-in, tv, etc. The house was comfortable and great for the kids. The kids loved the trampoline and the toys and games in the cabinet. Chris recommended the Museum of Flight, which was really great, the kids loved going in the planes and seeing the space exhibits. The house is just steps from alki beach and a few parks and other attractions. The water taxi from West Seattle to Seattle is also super convenient! Would highly recommend this wonderful little place to stay!

Awesome Beach Location

The house was a fantastic location for our weekend family get away. 5 min walk to the beach or playground, another 15 min walk to the water taxi to downtown. Just perfect for a car free trip with our 1 5 and 3.5 year old girls. The hosts were continually friendly and helpful without pushing the "overly friendly" limit. Accommodations are in great shape, clean, simple and nicely stocked, as advertised. Perfect for our family of 4.

Perfect spot for alki family fun

Great location, place was super cute! The owners did such a great job stocking and decorating the place. The kids loved the toys they had available for them. Biked to the beach every day and was an easy ride even for the little ones. Easy water taxi ride to the pike place market too. The owners were super nice & very attentive. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would go stay there again in a heartbeat.
