Welcome to the Champion's Retreat at Clemson!

The Champion's Retreat is the perfect place to stay during your trip to Clemson! Locatd 2.6 miles from Clemson Memorial Stadium with there National Champion Clemson Tigers play, the home is perfect for football, graduation and the many other reasons to visit Clemson. The home is conveniently located 2.5 miles from downtown Clemson with restaurants and shopping!The home is very spacious with room to spread out and relax while enjoying your visit to Clemson. With a large living room and large TV, there is plenty of room to relax indoors together. The home has a large outdoor deck with plenty of seating and space to play games such as corn hole as well as relax and enjoy the outdoors! The 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home sleeps up to 10 people. The primary bedroom is extra large and has 2 Queen beds, making it the perfect space for families. The very large en suite bathroom in the primary bedroom features a large soaker tub and a large walk in shower as well as 2 sinks. The other 3 bedrooms of the home have Queen size beds and plenty of closet space.The home also features an office with a desk, a sitting room with a couch and extra chairs to relax in. The fully equipped kitchen is a great space to make meals for your group to enjoy together. The kitchen features a gas stove and oven. There is a breakfast nook in the kitchen with seating for 2. The separate dining room with table that seats 8 is located right off of the kitchen.The laundry room off of the kitchen has a front loader washer and dryer available for guest use.Please note: the fireplace is not operational. There are security cameras located on the outside of the home at the front door, facing the driveway and facing the back deck.

Great parents weekend

We very much enjoyed parents weekend. The house easily accommodated my husband and myself as well as our daughter. We also enjoyed the back yard patio and grilling with friends. The location of the home is great for max fitness and the grocery. We were hoping to walk to the campus but too far for that. Also the house flow has many steps that would be difficult for some .

Wonderfully house! The outside is nothing special, but the inside is beautifully done and deceptively huge. Would definitely stay here again!

Spacious and relaxing

The property is in a great location with shopping and restaurants very close. Lots of living space for large families and groups to spread out. Accommodations were very nice with very comfortable queen beds. Host was very attentive and responsive. Deck and backyard with trees was nice for relaxing and enjoying evenings and mornings together. Kitchen was updated and large washer and dryer were nice for week long stay. Highly recommend. Would rent again.

Needs Attention

Positives: quiet street, close to campus, big deck, mattress, sheets and towels were very nice. Attention needed: 2 thermostats in the house. 1 did not work. Half the house was 59 degrees the entire weekend. It’s a nest system, owner could not change it remotely either.. if you rent this house I would double check on the system before renting - a group that rented in July had no air condition because the system was broken. The toilet in the en suite bathroom was broken - and you could tell it was broken for a while. They had turned off the wiser behind the toilet because it would continue to run. A very easy fix. They did offer to have a plumber come over but I did not want to change our plans to wait for a plumber to fix it. The owner needs to get professional painters in. The house is pieced mealed together, everything feels cheap, multiple flooring, some starting to peel, it was a little bit of this and that. If you just need a place to sleep it would be fine because the mattress, sheets, blanket were comfortable. Have low expectations and you’ll be ok. We will not be renting this house again.

Property in distress, owner cares less

Arrived Friday 7/26/24 for 2 night stay and AC was not working in 2 of 4 bedrooms. 6 of the 10 renters had 81+ degree temps inside overnight; 3 out of the 5 queen beds. We went above and beyond with this owner and packed our stuff up to move to another of their properties. Packed our gear and went to the other property but smell of mold and beaten down shag carpet was a no-go so we moved back to the original despite HOT bedrooms with no AC. Instead of paying for the repair on Friday/Saturday or putting cheap window AC units in the 2 bedrooms, owner decided to leave us sweating so s/he could get a warranty repair approved on Monday. Owner offered a $200 credit or "find somewhere else to stay". On Friday at 4pm we had no choice but to accept the $200. This property was in distress - all toilets marked with "these toilets are sensitive" to clogging, contractor was onsite looking at the foundation when we arrived - and the owner could care less about whether we had sleepless nights or not. Thanks for the $200 credit (which will take 7-10 days to process) but your "take the credit of find somewhere else" approach is not what we have ever experienced with VRBO owners. For those looking to rent this place on VRBO - there are better owner/managers with more empathy and better properties out there. Keep looking.
