This 2-bedroom, 1-bath main floor unit offers contemporary comfort within a historic, 19th century gem. Located less than a block from downtown Savanna's Main St. -- and the mighty Mississippi River within eyesight -- restaurants, bars, shops, and entertainment are just steps away. Amenity highlights include: galley-style 3-season room, fully equipped and stocked kitchen, central air, WiFi, washer/dryer, smart TV w/classic Nintendo (that's right, old school Mario), and more.

THE SPACE:

This newly renovated, newly listed unit features two large, tastefully decorated bedrooms -- one with a king size bed, the other with a queen and twin rollaway (available upon request). The fully equipped and stocked kitchen has a dishwasher, stove/oven, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, kitchenware, and countertop seating. Washer and dryer is in-unit for your convenience. Good size bathroom has one shower (no tub). The living room features seating and a smart TV with a classic Nintendo system loaded with hundreds of old-school games from your past. The dining room consists of a dining table and bar. A built-in work station is located in the main hallway. A classic galley-style 3-season room is attached to the unit (please note, you need to exit the front door to access the room). Easy street parking is abundant. Cleanliness is our highest priority, including special attention to high-touch areas, washing of all bedding between guests, and recurrent UV light treatment of furniture and other surfaces.

GUEST ACCESS:

Street parking is generally extremely easy; usually guests can park right in front of the house.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

Savanna is located in beautiful, rural Illinois on the banks of the Mississippi River -- with the beauty of the landscape comes wildlife, even in-town. Don't be surprised if you encounter bugs, deer, bats, stray cats, snakes, and more.

Working with our area partners, guests can arrange to have flowers and/or baby essentials (e.g. cribs, strollers, toys, etc.) delivered to the property prior to arrival.

Great location in downtown Savanna close to restaurants, bars or shopping. Perfect for those looking to get away to the beautiful western side of Illinois and super close to Mississippi Palisades Stare Park. Also close to the cute and historic Mount Carroll and Galena. Space is roomy, comfortable and clean.

Great Stay

Property is very nice and clean. Nicely decorated and well stocked. Location was perfect for us. Property owner communicated well and checked in with us during our stay. Highly recommend and will stay again when in the area.

Very comfortable and quiet

Stayed here over a busy Memorial day weekend. The home has a full kitchen for cooking meals or just a couple minute walk to Manny's Pizza or Sunshine Restaurant for delicious food at a very low cost. The service is fast and friendly. If you're into the motorcycle lifestyle there is the Iron Horse Social Club a minute walk away or Poopy's Pub a 5 minute drive. The house has a small living room were we enjoyed having a family get together. There is a large washer and dryer that is very convenient. There's are tons of recreational opportunities in the area like fishing, boating and hiking just to name a few. The host provided an informative brochure, excellent communication and check in was simple and easy. The only negative one could have is an occasional train horn that was not loud, but could be heard in the night. It did not bother me, but the host does provide ear plugs. I would stay here again.

Cute property close to downtown and state park

Great property, walking distance to downtown and just a few min drive to the state park. Parking was easy on the street in front of the home. Very close to the grocery store in toe . Hosts were great and very helpful. They sent a wonderful welcome sheet with house info and things to do in the area. About 40min drive to Galena. We were only there for two days and hope to go back and spend more time. We plan to stay at the same property when we return.

Short stay in sweet Savanna apartment

This property is everything advertised. It is a short walk to all things downtown Savanna and the river and trails. We had a problem with the door code and it was corrected in virtual minutes with a text to the owner.
