Welcome to Misty Ridge Retreat, a beautifully updated mountain home just minutes from downtown Blowing Rock, with breathtaking long-range Blue Ridge Mountain views year-round.
This inviting High Country retreat has been dramatically refreshed with a remodeled kitchen, stylish new furnishings, fresh interior paint throughout, and new living room windows designed to bring even more of the scenery indoors. From the updated exterior details to the bright, welcoming interior, every space feels more polished, comfortable, and ready for today's mountain traveler.

The main level features a vaulted great room with exposed beams, a stone gas fireplace, a large-screen Smart TV, and comfortable seating arranged around the view. The remodeled kitchen includes granite countertops, stainless appliances, and everything needed for family meals or relaxed evenings at home. Step outside to the deck for outdoor dining, grilling, and layered Blue Ridge views.

The home sleeps up to 7, though it is best suited for 6 adults, with the queen trundle in the lower-level suite ideal for a child. Sleeping arrangements include a main-level king suite with an updated ensuite bath, a spacious lower-level king primary suite with fireplace, sitting area, Smart TV, deck access, and adjustable desk workspace, plus a lower-level queen suite with a queen trundle and private bath.

The loft offers extra hangout space with foosball, a Smart TV, games, and comfortable seating. Outside, guests can enjoy the covered front porch, lower deck swing, private courtyard hot tub, cozy gas fire pit, and covered ping pong area.

Guests will also enjoy Smart TVs throughout the home, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer access, an EV charger, and a whole-house backup generator. Up to two dogs under 35 pounds are welcome with an additional pet fee.

Misty Ridge Retreat is ideally located for enjoying the best of the High Country, with downtown Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Sugar Mountain, and Beech Mountain all within easy reach.

The house was beautiful and comfortable. Everything was well maintained and it had everything we could need. The hot tub and firepit were very relaxing and it was close to Blowing Rock for restaurants and hiking. We would definitely come back again!

This house is amazing! The location is perfect for exploring the area. The house is beautiful, laid out perfectly (each bedroom has en suite bath), well stocked compared to most rentals and the view was gorgeous. Beds are very comfortable. The hot tub functioned properly, clean and set in private area but can still enjoy the sunsets. The management company was responsive and easy to work with. Thank you for making our stay in Blowing Rock perfect!

Best vacation house

Absolutely the best vacation house! Recommended to everyone! It has it all for a wonderful vacation. Nothing negative to say! And you can't miss those spectacular mountains views from the house ! Close to town and groceries ! We had a wonderful stay for sure!

Great weekend getaway.

Overall was a great long weekend moutain get away. Perfect location. Great amenities at the house. Outdoor swing couch could use a cleaning. Otherwise great!

Fantastic panoramic view!

The view from the deck, kitchen/dining room was fantastic! We watched several spectacular sunsets! The kitchen has been updated, and is very well equipped. One small complaint - it was hard to find a bright enough light to sit in a chair and read a book in the evenings.

The house is gorgeous, location is perfect. Did have some issues that were overcome; but to be honest, the management company wasn't particularly responsive to legitimate problems. I realize it was the week of New Year's and staffing was minimal, but when you charge holiday rates, you need to provide holiday responsiveness.

Beautiful home, beautiful views, convenient location

My friends and I went for a girls weekend away and the house was perfect for us. Very spacious with plenty of rooms/beds to accomodate the five of us. Beautiful mountain views. Conviently located to Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock. Very clean, easy check-in and check-out process. Would definitely book again.

We love the area. We did notice that there were several dead bugs behind the sofa and that no vacuuming or cleanings appears to be done underneath the bed in the master bedroom. Also the top of the headboard was quite dusty.

Mountain weekend

When our house in Burnsville was damaged by hurricane Helene, we had to quickly make new arrangements for our family weekend. With one week notice, we got this wonderful house in Blowing Rock on VRBO. The house was great.... beautiful mountain views, hot tub, fire pit, good location for hikes and town, and lots of space. The kitchen was well stocked, and we cooked some fabulous meals. We highly recommend this house!!!

Cozy and comfortable cabin

Our family of 4 had a great time at the cabin. It was well stocked, organized and clean. Beds and furniture were comfortable. The two fireplaces were perfect! Due to the ice storm and frigid weather during our stay, we were unable to take advantage of the beautiful porch areas, fire pit and hot tub. We still had a great time playing games and music in the loft game room. Plenty to choose from! Thank you.

Perfect getaway property

We loved this property. The views are beautiful. If you're looking for tranquility and overall comfort, this is the place. Beds were very comfortable. I have back issues so I don't often sleep well when away. I didn't have any issues with back pain sleeping in the master bed. Location is perfect for all the activities offered in the area. Kitchen is very well appointed. Can't think of anything we needed that wasn't available in the house. Views from the kichen and deck are amazing. We definitely plan to reserve again for next year.

Very nice property in a good location …. But it really needs some TLC. Light fixtures not working, shades fell down, screen doors fell off tracks and a shelf in kitchen came down. Sounds bad, but all of it could be rectified with a little owner TLC and this would then be a solid 4 stars.

Things don't work properly in NC

Fire pit didn't work !! Dishwasher didn't work !! Pictures online are deceiving Everything in the pictures look WAY bigger than they really are. I would not book or recommend this property to anyone. I definitely feel like I paid way more than it's worth!!!

Weekend getaway for family with young children. House was perfect for us. Very clean, updated, and great location. Views from the upper level were amazing. Great place to relax and still be a 8 minute drive to downtown Blowing Rock. As with all rentals, my only wish is owners invest in better mattresses that would match the great quality of the rest of the home. We loved this so much we tried to book again in August but it wasn’t available. We will definitely try to come back.
