Oceanside North End Cottage

Ocean House 919 is a newly renovated and furnished beach cottage steps away from the sand. This three bedroom, three full bathroom cottage provides comfortable sleeping for up to six adults and six kids. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom, generous closet space and provides clean linens and towels. The family room has a sectional couch with enough space to fit everyone as well as a large TV with a fire stick for streaming. Ocean House 919 has a dining table for ten, and two additional counter seats are available in the full kitchen. The kitchen has a double oven, dishwasher, Keurig coffee machine, pantry and provides enough table settings for twelve, to include red / white wine glasses, champagne glasses and beer mugs. This fully stocked kitchen is clean, orderly and fully functional for a large dinner. Outside living is spacious with two bar top tables and a paver patio with outdoor dining for six. Additional outdoor amenities include a shower, hose, charcoal grill and second story balcony. The utility room provides a washer, dryer, 8 beach chairs, 4 boogie boards, corn hole boards, beach toys, a beach cart and an umbrella.

Ocean House 919 is privately managed by local owners, and safely nestled on the oceanside of Atlantic Ave. within walking distance to the Surf Club Grill. There is no need to cross a busy street to walk to the beach and being so close to the water, means easy and quick access back home for those with little kids. This exclusive cottage will make you feel at home while your away. It is our pleasure to host you during your time in the historic North End community of Virginia Beach. Welcome!

Other things to note:
Due to Virginia Beach City ordinance governing Short Term Rentals only 2
adults per bedroom are allowed to stay overnight. Oceanhouse919 may
only host a maximum of 6 adults per reservation. Additionally, only 1 car per bedroom
is allowed to be parked in the driveway overnight - 10 pm - 10 am.

House Rules:
HOUSE RULE #1: Only 2 adults per bedroom are permitted to stay
overnight at Ocean House 919. Additional guest must be under the
age of 18. No more than 6 adults may stay overnight.
HOUSE RULE #2: City Ordinance/Regulation mandates that a maximum of 3 cars may be parked in the driveway during overnight hours (10:00 pm-10:00 am).
A maximum of 4 cars may be parked in the driveway during daytime hours (10:00
am-10:00 pm).
HOUSE RULE #3: Ocean House 919 is prohibited from hosting official events in accordance with City Ordinance and day time gatherings of over 20 people are not permitted.

The accommodations were simple and sufficient. We would have liked more pots, pans, sharp knives, paper towels and some laundry detergent. We enjoyed the location. The beds were comfortable.

Family Vacation

This property is in the perfect location for access to the beach. Actual property had everything you needed for the beach. It had chairs, cooler, toys, and even a speaker. Our Family had the best time visiting our sailor here.

Great house and location! the house was exactly as described on the listing. Perfect location next to beach access and perfect for a large group beach vacation. The host was was awesome with responsiveness and answering all questions that I had. Highly recommend!

Great spring break getwaway

This was a last minute break for myself and my daughter. The location is great for accessing the beach and in the heart of North End. Communications with the host were fantastic. We also wound up unexpectedly coinciding with the Va Beach Shamrock marathon weekend…great location for cheering and really wonderful flexibility on timing of checkout given the road closures.

Good stay overall

Sara and Dan’s place met our needs and worked well overall. Once in awhile it got a little cold, but we were there over the winter months so it was almost to be expected. It was a very quiet neighborhood and the hosts communicated incredibly quickly and well if we needed anything. It’s literally a 30 second walk to the sand, so this place would definitely be an amazing spot for beach vacations!

Perfect for my large family!

The pictures do not do this house justice! The house is beautiful! Spacious for my family! We have four kids. Three teens and a little guy! The loft was perfect for the teenagers to have there own space! Great place and kind owners. They always replied quickly when we had questions. Thanks for a beautiful home away from home!

Short But Sweet

This cottage was the perfect set-up for our group of 5 adults and 1 child. There are two bedrooms with full bathrooms downstairs with Queen beds, and an upstairs with two full beds and two twin beds with a full bath. The location was perfect to for the beach. Just a walk up a path, and you are there. We also liked the convenience of having a restaurant just across the service road. There was live music the first night we were there. Lots of fun!

Great location, clean, right next to the beach

We loved our stay at this house. It was one house off from the beach and it was clean and exactly as described. Everything about the stay was great. If I had to offer one piece of feedback it was that we were unable to control the temperature and there was a lock box around the thermostat. It was set to 78°. At night it was super cool, opening the windows helped, and I understand about keeping costs down. But there were a couple times retuning from the beach that we would have preferred to control the temperature. Otherwise, great stay!

Wonderful stay!

I hesitate to give glowing reviews because then you can’t get an opening to get back in, but here goes …. The location of this comfortable, cottage style house couldn’t be better! So nice not to have to run across the busy street with kids, a wagon and beach gear. The 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms was what we needed, the large dining table was perfect and the comfy couch fit everyone! The thoughtful collection of games and activities had something for everyone, and we REALLY appreciated the baby items and the beach gear! The owners were quick to respond to us, friendly and helpful. This is not a criticism, but more a heads up - we weren’t able to use the gate we brought at the top of the stairs in the loft bedroom (one side has an open railing), so we switched up our sleeping arrangements and kept our two littlest ones downstairs. All in all, it was a great place to enjoy each other, make memories and get away from it all!

Great location, clean home, close to beach

Our first time in VB was a great experience, especially with our stay at Saras place. The place was clean and homey. Great big couch in living room for everyone to hang, very close to beach, big driveway for parking. Saras home provided beach chairs and beach blankets.

Enjoyable Stay

The description of this cottage is 100% accurate, everything was exactly as expected. Easy check-in and check-out. Location to the beach was great and we also really enjoyed visiting the restaurant that was located directly across the street. I would definitely recommend.

Perfect beach getaway

The place was perfect for my family of nine. Kids were especially excited to have their own space upstairs. The location was great as it was pretty much right next to the beach. The host was even able to accommodate us so that we could stay a day longer.

Glowing Review

This location was perfect for my family/ cousins weekend. We were located, by accident, directly across from the hotel where most of our family stayed. We love too cook therefor it was perfect that everything we needed was at our disposal. We were centrally located to everything. The beach, the boardwalk, stores and restaurants. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to visit Virginia Beach.
