Tanglwood Resort, a VRI (Vacation Resorts International) managed property, is located in Hawley, PA and is one of the Pocono’s better vacation resort facilities. Whether you have planned a quiet relaxing getaway or a vacation filled with activities, this is an excellent location to do either.

Enjoy many opportunities for water sports like Kayaking, Paddle Boarding, Jet Skiing, Boating, or just swimming and relaxing by the pool while enjoying the views of beautiful Lake Wallenpaupack.

THE SPACE

Enjoy all that Tanglwood has to offer to enhance your stay by taking in all the sights and sounds that are distinctly in the Poconos. Guests of Tanglwood Resorts can take advantage of the areas various activities. Whether it is Fishing, Boating, or Water sports on Lake Wallenpaupack, horseback riding, or seeing candy being made. There are miles of hiking trails where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery or just be one with nature.

This spacious 1BR unit at approximately 700sq ft is rated to sleep four (4) persons.

GARDEN / RESORT CATEGORY:

While the resort itself borders Lake Wallenpaupack, most of the units at Tanglwood don't have a direct view of the lake because this property is wooded, so there may be some trees blocking your view. Since your unit will be assigned at Check In, you may have a partial view of the Lake from your Balcony / Patio, but that is NOT guaranteed. You may also get a view of the trees with the Lake beyond, and not really visible from your unit.

UNIT INTERIORS:

This property was originally constructed in the 1980's.

Although these units were updated in the last 5 year, you will find most unit interiors are clean and comfortable but dated. These units definitely have more of a rustic, almost like a cabin at the lake type feel. Hopefully the photos provided give you a general understanding for what I am describing.

The benefits offered by this resort are the overall amenities (including a large outdoor lakeside pool), being conveniently located right next to Lake Wallenpaupack. You also benefit from these spacious units being priced lower than comparable options of the same size in the area.

Many families enjoy their annual vacations at this property, however if you are a traveler that requires luxury accommodations, this may not be the right choice for you. If you have any specific questions on this please don't hesitate to ask.

WOODLOCH INDOOR POOL AND SPORTS COMPLEX

The Sports Complex at Woodloch Springs (about 15 minutes from the Tanglwood property) is a state-of-the-art Fitness and Aquatics Center that offers a variety of activities for members and guests.

Work out at the Gym, or just relax and de-stress in this modern facility that has a large indoor Pool, Hot Tub, and private Steam Rooms in each of the Locker Rooms.

Please note that this listing includes multiple weeks available. The photos reflect the interiors of several different units you might be assigned, depending on which specific week you book. However, these units all have the same basic floorplan, with the general decor and layout reflected in the photos. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

GUEST ACCESS

Your unit is private, but since this is a large Resort property, amenities will be shared with other guests (Outdoor and Indoor Pools, Hot Tubs, Outdoor Games, etc).

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

- Primary Guest checking in must be at least 21 years of age with a valid ID and credit card for security deposit. If a security deposit is required, it will be returned to you after Check Out if you have not made any charges to your room.

- Tanglwood Resorts is professionally managed and operated by Vacation Resorts International (VRI). The Front Desk is staffed for Check-In, Check-Out, and is available for any questions, issues, or need for assistance during your stay.

- Check In time is 4:00pm (or after) and check out time is 10:00am. Please check with the resort Front Desk for any possibility of earlier unit availability and / or early use of the resort amenities during check-in days.

- Please note that once you Check In and get access to your unit, if you encounter any issues or concerns regarding Housekeeping, Maintenance, etc…please contact the Front Desk / Office IMMEDIATELY. The staff members on-site provide the best opportunity to get any concerns resolved in the fastest and most efficient manner.

- Please note that some of the photos may not be from the specific unit you will be assigned. However, they do reflect the general layout you can expect from various locations in the unit.

- FREE Parking for one or two vehicles is included with this unit, which you will receive from the Front Desk at Check In. If you need parking for an additional vehicle you can arrange this directly with the Front Desk.

- Basic Bedding linens (sheets and pillow cases) and pillows are provided.

- However, extra blankets and pillows may not be available. Please consider bringing an extra blanket or two, and extra pillows, especially if you have favorite pillows, or if you sleep better using a certain type of pillow.

- If you plan on using the Sleeper sofa during your stay, I definitely recommend bringing your own sheets, pillows, and blankets, maybe even a mattress pad for the Sleeper sofa specifically, which can be turned into a very comfortable extra bed.

- Bath and Hand towels are provided for you and will be inside your unit when you arrive.

- There is no daily housekeeping provided. If additional housekeeping is desired during your stay it is available for an additional fee scheduled directly with the resort Front Desk.

- There is a Coin operated Laundry Facility in your building.

- Each Guest will receive a "Starter Package" from the Front Desk at Check In. This will have basic supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, detergent, etc to get you thru the first day or two of your stay. However it is highly recommended to bring additional PAPER products (toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, etc) and your own CLEANING products (detergents, cleaners, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, etc).

- Utensils, Dishes, and some basic Pots and Pans are provided. If something appears to be missing, you can contact the Front Desk and possibly get it dropped off (if they have it). However, if you plan on cooking a lot of meals inside your unit, or plan any special dishes, I do recommend bringing your favorite Large Frying pan (or Large Sauté Pan, Wok, Crockpot, etc, etc) for cooking. This way you will have something you are comfortable using and you will know exactly how things will cook in it. You may also want to bring your favorite Kitchen knife(s) for food prep.

- A Boat slip might be available for your use, but these are LIMITED and are on a First Come / First Serve basis. You would need to coordinate this with the Front Desk / Office prior to your arrival date to see if one was available for you if you wanted to take your own Boat / Watercraft.

2. BOATING AND KAYAKING ON LAKE WALLENPAUPACK
It’s easy to spend a lazy day on Lake Wallenpaupack! Wander along its 52 miles of shoreline or rent a kayak or boat and skim across the 5,700-acres of water. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, you can try water skiing, stand-up paddleboarding, wakeboarding, or even jet skiing! Several businesses will rent all the equipment you need for a memorable day out on the water!

3. HORSEBACK RIDING
If you love to go horseback riding, head to Happy Trails Stables! This popular nearby attraction will take you on a guided adventure in a secluded mountain top setting. You’ll love the peaceful trails winding through the countryside that afford spectacular views.

4. BIKING
It’s one of the best things to do in Hawley, PA, and the surrounding areas! Pedal around town to get a little exercise and see the sights! If you’d like a real mountain biking experience, there are great trails right along the Lackawaxen River. Need a bike? No worries! Thanks to the Hawley BikeShare, visitors can borrow bikes from the city completely free of charge! Simply find your bike at any one of the BikeShare locations throughout Hawley, fill out the rental agreement, and off you go!

5. HIKING
Hiking near Hawley, PA, is a very popular pastime and a must for your visit to the Pocono Mountains. You’ll find a wide variety of trails to explore outside of town in the Delaware State Forest, Shuman Point Natural Area, Ledgedale Recreation Area, and Promised Land State Park.
