Rustic Cabin Overlooking Private 48 acre Bass Fishing Lake

This rustic, warm and cozy cabin overlooks a beautiful 48 acre lake. When you arrive at the cabin you will be met with a breathtaking view of the lake. The lake is stocked with trophy large mouth bass, catfish and bream. You can relax on the porch and let your senses awaken with the sights and sounds of nature all around you. Early risers can enjoy a cup of coffee and an immense and absolute beautiful sunrise.

THE SPACE:
The cabin is rustic, warm and cozy. You are sure to feel right at home when you enter.

KITCHEN:
A full kitchen, stocked with pots, pans, plates, glasses, etc. Has a refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee pot.

LIVING AREA:
The charming living area offers a dinette, reading chair and a full sized bed; complete with fresh clean linens.

LOFT:
Upstairs offers a loft with two twin beds, with a view of the lake.

BATHROOM:
Cabin offers one bathroom. That has a shower with linens and complimentary personal travel sized personal hygiene.

OUTDOOR FEATURES:
Porch that offers great views of the lake. A fire pit beside the lake to enjoy some smores! A charcoal BBQ grill to enjoy a memorable BBQ. A picnic table to enjoy a evening meal on a cool breezy evening. Enjoy some fishing right from there pier. If you are bringing a boat to fish, let me know ahead of time to reserve your spot to fish, there is a fee when bringing a boat of $50 per person each day you plan to be on the lake.

This cabin will truly give you a country experience with its rustic charm. As soon as you
enter the cabin I am sure you will feel right at home. If you are ready to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy tourist attractions, then this is the perfect place for you to be!

**NOTE**
For your safety, the cabin is sanitized and deep cleaned between guests. We are very careful to do a complete surface cleaning throughout the cabin with a commercial grade sanitizer.

We recently purchased this property and this Vrbo is new to us. However, this cabin is not new to Vrbo, it has been on Vrbo for several years with nothing but satisfied reviews. I plan to maintain those reviews and extend the southern hospitality as the previous owners.

Great stay will definitely be back!

Cabin was clean and well kept! Fishing was great my husband and two year old had so much fun even just fishing off the floating dock! LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! We loved all the produce fields around and stoped at “Charlie’s u-pik”’it was great and the watermelon was so good! The downtown area was only 20 mins away! You definitely won’t be disappointed!

Perfect.

Perfect place for a get away. Cabin is just as described. Fishing was great, and the owners were very accommodating. Only stayed a couple days, but will plan for more next time. Can’t wait to go back!

Weekend Getaway

The cabin is in a beautiful, quiet location and was just what we needed to get away for a while and relax! It had all the amenities we needed and we enjoyed the lake tremendously. Plan to stay again!

Our Annual Anniversary Getaway

This was our second stay at the cabin and we loved it even more than the first time! We enjoyed ourselves tremendously! The cabin met our needs perfectly, but the real attraction is that view and the lake. We are already making plans for another visit.

Fishing cabin in the woods:)

The property is described as off the beaten path and that is the truth. The fishing was good even though it rained. Its very peaceful and quiet that is for sure!

Beautiful and peaceful!!! So nice to just relax and take in the scenery. The owner was incredibly helpful and the cabin was clean, quaint and homey. I live for that back porch!!! We did not fish but the pier looks s in a great location, we will fish next time. Wonderful experience and looking forward to booking again soon

Felt like we were being watched due to emails we received about us driving down towards the water, hard for me to walk. Pictures of the place were not what we saw. Grass was high and we had boaters coming right up to our dock, there for it made it hard for us to enjoy a “secluded” weekend. Cabin was clean and absolutely inviting. Also four wheelers all around us.

Fishing trip

This was a great little getaway, The cost per night was fair for what you get.The lake and fishing was great. although be prepared for the road to cabin and boat ramp need some attention it wouldn’t hurt to cut back overgrown bushes and maintain the road and mowing the grass down to the lake area. The cabin is sufficient, The hot water is hot and the air conditioner is cold beds just OKAY. although it would have been nice if spiderwebs were knocked down and hanging lights need to be replaced. The short hike from the cabin to the lake is a bit much walk bake uphill if you have any kind of walking issues..

Review

The property was very nice. It is secluded, more so than the listing shows. But that was fine with us. Our only issues were that the entrance to the property was not marked, and it was difficult to find, and the choice of bedding for the beds in the loft could have been better. Als, the drive way/parking area at the property is not well defined/designated. The fishing was very good, and that was a bonus because our whole family are avid fisherman. We did thoroughly enjoy our trip however and would not hesitate to stay at that property again.

Nice little getaway

It was nice to unplug & be away for a while! Just bear in mind, if you have small children, there is zero internet, zero cell service, & the DVD player works maybe 50% of the time. This was especially hard at night, but we were able to keep busy enough during the day. Also, be sure to bring bug spray. We killed several huge spiders up by where the children slept in the loft area, and 2 wasps. This is in the woods, so that’s to be expected. I would def go back again with just my husband.

Tiny, But Cute

This tiny cabin could have used better lighting in the kitchen area and an additional wall shelf to hold foodstuffs, but overall, it was good for two adults. We enjoyed fishing on the dock (not much luck) and sitting on the deck watching the lakeview. Winding down and listening to the quiet were just what we needed. There were a few minor oversights that I privately discussed with the owner, and she assured me that as relatively new owners, they are working on getting everything addressed. Be aware that there are two large pole barns for storage of composted manure (for the produce farms?) within less than half a mile. When the wind is just right, you know you’re in the country!

Great location but disappointing

As great as the location was, there were quite a few issues inside that made it less than enjoyable. There was long dark hair in the shower, the toilet lid did not fit the bowl and slid easily when used…it also ran every time it was flushed. The hand soap at the bathroom sink was an old bottle of soft soap that had been filled up with water. The shower curtain had a bit of mildew stain on the bottom. There was no light bulb in one bedside lamp and the other didn’t work(owner was notified and brought bulbs for us. the stove and oven didn’t work at all and no toaster even to make toast. The fire pit down by the lake had a bunch of trash in it and had 2 really old crappy folding chairs on the dock. I felt as though someone just went in and put fresh towels in the bathroom and left. The bathroom towels were the nicest thing in the whole place.

Outstanding setting in the woods. Cabin was rustic and romantic. The best part was watching my husband enjoying the fishing. We did end our stay a day early only because our dogs were getting bit by ticks. That is to be expected in the woods. A few minor things needed attention and the owner was very nice when I brought it to her attention. We do plan to go back but we will probably go when the ticks are in their off season and when we are better prepared. They had information about a few places in the area and to our surprise the ice cream was the best we ever tasted. The creamery offered other items but we did purchase milk and chocolate milk. I promise you it was worth the time. The porch had a Very nice breeze in August that felt like October, made a great way to wake up with coffee and water view.

Not a clean place and an odor in the air

Sadly the cabin was not very clean or comfortable. We found dead bugs covering the loft beds like it had not bee cleaned in awhile. We had to go to Walmart and get a blow up mattress for our child. The A/c output vents had mold. The queen bed was very old and noisy and you can feel the springs. There is a meat processing plant or cows that put a foul odor in the air. There were times I couldnt enjoy sitting on the porch because the smell was so bad. However, the lake had great fishing and we caught 5 fish. I hope the place gets cleaned up.

We are Keith and Laura Hovatter, the new owners of The Cabin on Dreamstrike Lake. We both grew up in there south and have enjoyed the wonderful county atmosphere of Mississippi for most of our lives. We are very excited to offer this serene outdoorsy experience to others. This our first VRBO rental and we hope that everyone will love this lakeside retreat.
