Pauline’s place was a great pet-friendly base for our Niagara on the Lake trip. We could walk into town for dinner, and our cat enjoyed the screened in porch. We would stay again!

We had everything we needed in this beautiful cottage. Beds were firm and comfortable and we slept well, lots of towels, We loved the art that adorned the walls! Location very convenient to Shaw Fest! We would definitely go back to this cottage. Thanks Pauline!

Pauline was a very responsive host. We appreciated meeting her on our arrival and the fact that we could park in their driveway early. She also helped us to find parking spaces around the Shaw theatre. The cottage was immaculate and had lots of interesting decorative touches. We appreciated the many condiments and other supplies in the kitchen and bathroom. We only wish that the WiFi and TV signals were a little stronger, as sometimes they would fade out. Probably nothing Pauline can do about that, but just so you know if you have to do any internet work. A beautiful backyard to sit in if the weather is good.

The cottage was a great place to stay for our few-day visit to Niagara on the Lake. The cottage is quaint and located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood very convenient to all the attractions of Niagara on the Lake. Pauline, the host, contacted us before we arrived to provide us with check-in and arrival information. Pauline met us as we drove into the property, to greet us and personally show us around the property. The cottage was extremely clean and had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Pauline’s garden is beautiful, with a lovely, quiet patio and several different areas to sit and relax. This was one of our favorite Vrbo rentals and we will definitely consider a return visit.

Pauline was very helpful and thoughtful. With my husband's disability we should have rented a property which was closer to town and had better facilities for his needs. Pauline did help by taking us into town and shops.

Great location! Very near Queen street with shops and restaurants, and a few wineries and other eateries, so you can avoid your car.Pet friendly! Great fenced garden area and lanai for the pups. Plus plenty of local parks.Well-stocked! The host thought of everything. And we were provided with fresh towels more than we needed.The interior is compact, but the expansize lanai and backyard more than made up for that. Host was very communicative and fixed a small plumbing problem very quickly.We will definitely stay again next time we're in the area

We spent a long weekend to attend the Shaw Festival and do some exploring on bike. The location of the accommodations was excellent and the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The host was prompt with communication. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Alnwick cottage was completely furnished with everything we might need. It was clean and comfortable. PAULINE, was an added bonus, offering tips and advice.The cottage was perfectly located, an easy walk to downtown and Lake Ontario. The gardens surrounding the property were quite inviting, calling us outside to relax and enjoy.Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We were quite surprised with the cottage, it was not what we expected, when we booked it it never stated that it was the back of a house and the owner was at the front of the house.should advertise those details. It was a small place enough for two adult , it was clean the beds were really hard. No outlets in bathroom to use.Parking is very small area. We made due with what we had, we ended up leaving early.

very surprised by these comments,,I have it clearly stated that the rear cottage is annexed to my cottage..compare what we offer to a basic room at our local Best Western for $400 per night..the cottage has a huge sunroom which allowed this guest to smoke..a very large private patio and garden ..read any of my reviews and I think you,ll realize this is rubbish..obviously this weekend didnt go as planned they booked for 3 guests only 2 arrived..not really my fault..

This review is rated low and we thought it was important to include details as to why, since the host and the 5 star reviews did not mention certain things. First of all, the location pinned on the VRBO map and walking distances are inaccurate. We did not get the actual address until the night before so could not verify it until we arrived. The downtown area (Queens Way) with most shops and restaurants are a 25-30 min walk , not the 5-6 min, on the listing. I have contacted the host about this and even though VRBO places the pin and calculates the distances it is ultimately up to the host to verify the listing as to accuracy. 2nd of all - know that this cottage is very tiny and did not comfortably fit us as a couple. The bathroom has a small powder room toilet and there is no space around the sink to put much toiletries at all. On top of that, NO outlets in the bathroom! Never have we come across that in a VRBO. The bedrooms have double beds and space around the beds is limited, so very difficult to put luggage in a good spot and still maneuver around the beds. The highlights of this place are certainly the outdoor gardens and “sunroom”/ converted carport. The sunroom has screens on the windows, no heating that we could see, so best used in the warmer months. It’s no wonder why 28/35 pictures on the listing are of the outdoor gardens and sunroom. Pauline was pleasant & greeted us on arrival. We do wonder why her remarks to poor reviews appear defensive & blunt

I,m confused about this review..where do I start..the address is clearly marked on my listing..it states 5-6 BLOCKS to the main street..not minutes..I walk it in 10-15 minutes..The cottage is aalmost 100 yrs old..electrical outlets were not allowed in bathrooms..The cottage is closed from Nov -May so no worries on heating a sunroom..This couple arrived seemed very happy..we talked about the golf course in town off they went..came back later drank wine ..the conversation was that they would visit Niagara Falls the next day..they left early and NEVER came back..no communication ..why they are worried about no heat in the sunroom..it was 75 degrees when they were here..Of course my replies to negative reviews are blunt,,I take great pride in the cottage..clearly tell people its tiny but quaint..I want my guests to be happy..

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We originally purchased 659 King Street, for its close proximity to Live theatre and a wonderful golf course. It was originally used by the family as 2 cottages, 1 for guests. After retiring we decided to live in the front cottage and rent the rear cottage as a vacation spot.
