Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful lakehouse. We really enjoyed our time there - everything was perfect, and it made for such a relaxing getaway. We hope we followed all of your instructions properly. We would definitely love to come back next year.

Lake view was wonderful

We had a wonderful time at the cottage and in the surrounding area. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Most of our time at the cottage was spent in the glass enclosed lakeside porch, enjoying the view and especially the sunsets. My wife and sister used the kayaks to explore the lake. The host was very easy to reach and provided lots of material on the local area.

The cottage is dated but with some nice features like an enclosed deck overlooking the beautiful and swimmable lake and privacy from the neighbours.Unfortunately, the cottage feels like a place you would borrow from a friend's mom for free, where you would overlook the pantry full of someone else's food, the half-used condiments in the fridge, the tiny microwave with corroded paint, the oven mitts crusted with someone else's past cooking adventures.The owner hasn't considered that a renter paying market-matched rates would expect basics like a fresh kitchen scrubber, duvet covers that aren’t dated, worn, and stained, and vacuums and brooms not clogged with pet hair.

Nice view of the lake. Close to town and had a great Italian dinner at the local restaurant. Convenient stopover on our drive around Lake Superior in the fall. Looked like a great place if you're here in the summer to enjoy water activities.

Great stay! Very clean and comfortable, with a communicative host. Lovely view, enjoyed coffee on the deck in the mornings and watched the sunset from the porch or beside the bonfire at night. Nice lake for swimming and fishing. Thoughtful hosts and the place has everything you need for an easy lakeside getaway. The pizza beach towel was my favourite!!

The property lists air conditioning among the amenities; however, does not disclose that there is no a/c till much further down in the info. Outside temperature reached 86F when we were there, primary bedroom faces west, sun goes down around 10:30pm and room doesn't cool down till midnight. Four miserable nights trying to sleep. Downstairs of property is nice and two bathrooms is a huge asset. Upstairs is ruined by ancient, filthy, stained carpeting in a hideous color. Bedding is all old and dated. Primary bedroom bed doesn't have a headboard--it's anchored to the wall by 1x2 lumber. Home is on the lake and does have a nice view from backyard--it's also very close to Trans-Canada highway and the traffic noise is constant--you can literally see the highway from the house. Curb appeal of home is awful--front of house in desperate need of paint or siding, unkempt lawn, old dock and scrap lumber piled to left of house. House is easily the worst looking one on the street. Obvious cracks in walls above door and window frames upstairs. Schreiber area is nice and beach is beautiful; house needs some TLC.

Our family of six enjoyed a four night stay. The layout is perfect for people with different schedules. Kristy was a fantastic host - she responded very quickly to any inquiry we had. Check-in and check-out were extremely smooth. The house is in an excellent location, right on the water. It is close to amenities and hiking trails as well.. Would stay again.

I am applying for the Ontario Staycation Tax Credit. The invoice I payed for doesn't show the HST.....it is required in order to acquire the tax credit. Could you please email me a copy. Cheers

A GREAT STAY!!!

It was exactly what we were looking for. A much needed get away. Felt at home right away. The house was clean and had everything we needed plus on a beautiful lake and quiet neighbourhood. Very close to the little town of Schreiber and enjoyed that as well. An amazing well done museum is a must to visit. Everyone you passed by in town said hello.
