Relaxing Ocean View Vacation Paradise! 5 star Reviews!

Our townhome features an open concept greatroom, fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with new amenities, 3 bedrooms (2 with kingsize beds). Great for families! Enjoy stunning ocean and mountain views while you relax in the most spacious floor plan at Hali’i Kai.

Everything during your stay will be managed personally by us. No management companies, no “we’ll get back to you’s.” Our only goal is to make your Hawaiian holiday as memorable (and easy) as possible!

Aside from the spectacular view, what we love most about our townhome are its high ceilings and bamboo hardwood flooring, which give a spacious feeling to the two-story floor plan. The Master boasts a king-sized bed, lanai with oceanview, and en-suite bath. An additional upstairs bedroom has twin bunks and a double murphy bed (great for kids!). The 3rd bedroom with king bed is on the 1st floor, well-separated for privacy.

Hali'i Kai is an exclusive private gated community in the Waikoloa resort area on Hawaii's Kohala coast. It offers a tropical landscape, spectacular ocean views, proximity to world-class golf courses, secluded beaches and more. Our unit, 6F, is a short walk to the Ocean Club Pavilion where you can relax in the lagoon-style black-bottom pool, dig your feet in the sand-bottom hot tub or play in the nearby children’s wading pool. Enjoy poolside meals, snacks, and cocktails at the Ocean Club Grill & Bar, exclusive to residents and guests, or work out in the oceanfront fitness cabana while enjoying the island breeze and the spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.

A $25 per day resort fee paid directly to the resort grants you access to the private oceanfront owners' club and is not included in the rent. The fee is per unit per day, not per guest.

Lastly, we live on the mainland but are available to you 24/7 during your stay and we are very prompt to reply! We will check in to make sure everything is ok, but will generally leave you alone to enjoy your holiday. We're also available prior to your arrival to answer any questions or help guide you to activities, restaurants, shopping.

Our condo was the perfect place for our week long stay for a medical conference. The home is quiet, ever so comfortable beds, fluffy towels, super clean everything. When our annual conference returns to Hawaii in three years, we'd love to stay again.

This home was exactly as advertised. We loved the location and ease of getting around from the resort. Two couples had ample room for cooking, lanai sitting and private sleeping accommodations. King beds were very comfortable. We didn’t use the 3rd bedroom but our grandchildren would have loved the set up. Pool area was beautiful and just as described. Ocean Club served great food and drinks. We would stay here again.

The property met all our expectations. The location was fantastic, close to all needed amenities and secluded enough for some needed privacy. Short walk to pool.. Loved the views and excellent areas to have a scenic walk. Would recommend the location to others

Great location for a family trip

We had a wonderful stay here with 5 adults and two kids. The neighborhood is very peaceful, great to take a morning walk with the kids. Beautiful views from the clubhouse. Close to all sorts of restaurants and shopping. Has all of the amenities we needed and we really enjoyed having breakfast out on the lanai. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect stay!

The property was clean and comfortable! It was perfect for our family of 6 adults and a 1 year old. Well stocked in the kitchen (however it a rice cooker would be even more convenient) and bathrooms. My son loved the sand toys. I would definitely stay here again!

Ideal Vacation Rental

The townhouse is modern, clean, and spacious. Enjoyed the Hali'i Kai property overlooking the Waikoloa golf course and sunset view. It's a short walk to the pool and private restaurant (pay the $20/day per unit resort fee at office to use - worth it!). Check in and check out communications were very clear and easy. Nice place!

Fantastic!

Debby and Steve were amazing hosts. Their home is beautiful with all the amenities for both adults and teens. They were very communicative and provided suggestions on activities to do on the island. Their place is centrally located to walking to the beach beach, a nice pool, and near shopping and restaurants. It was such a wonderful, peaceful retreat. We are definitely going to look to staying at their home again when we return to the island.

Fantastic Property

Fantastic property with outstanding finishes. It IS on 2nd and 3rd floor, so a fair number of stairs between you and your bed. And the area lacked soulful restaurants, etc (whole area is filled with resorts so there are plenty of options, just not much authentic Hawaii nearby). But this property was absolutely fantastic. Really pleased with our stay. Couldn't recommend more to anyone seeking resort property.

Gorgeous retreat

Beautiful property. Great location with a wonderful pool area. Condo was spotless and was wonderful having three full bathrooms. The only inconvenience was the fact that we arrived after seven on the first night and the front desk closed at six, so I had to wait until the next morning to get our access cards for the pool and everything. When I checked in the next morning, I still had to pay the $25 fee for the first day even though we couldn’t use it since we arrived too late.

Regarding the front office, it is run by an outside company so we don't have much control over what they do. They don't have a log of our reservations so I'm not even sure how they knew you arrived the previous day or why they would have charged you for use of the resort after hours. Amazing Hali’i Kai Puako Property

Beautiful Home in an Amazing community. Steve and Debby were wonderful to work with - responsive, helpful, and such a positive experience. We loved everything about this property - check in was quick and easy, the Ocean Club amenity is a bonus for such a reasonable price. The home is perfectly furnished; no detail has been missed. We spent our first afternoon watching whales cross from our lounge chairs at the amazing Ocean Club, followed by a stunning sunset. Our only wish, was that we had more time to spend here….We hope to be back next year, and that this lovely home will be available for our 2024 stay! Mahalo Steve and Debby for sharing your incredible spot in Paradise.

The third bedroom has a Murphy Bed and bunk beds, as advertised. We're sorry you if you found the beds uncomfortable. As for the door lock, again, our apologies if it locked you out a half hour before your agreed upon late departure. In the future know that we respond to texts immediately, so if you were to have contacted us we could have rectified the situation right away. We hope your stay at our home was otherwise comfortable and to your satisfaction.

A beautiful well-appointed vacation home! We look forward to returning again. Mahalo!

The property is tastefully decorated and provided us with a comfortable and spacious atmosphere. The vaulted ceilings added to its grandeur. It was supplied with all the necessities of home. The master suite lanai provided a wonderful place to relax and take in the ocean and golf course view, as did the main floor lanai where we enjoyed our meals. The hosts were very attentive and available as was their onsite contact. Check-in/checkout was seamless. The Ocean Club Bar and Grill that overlooks the ocean was a wonderful amenity, with a unique pool, serving good food and evening entertainment. We look forward our return. Family of 5, beautiful resort. Owners were quick to reply to our concerns and very helpful

This unit was great and well equipped with things to make out stay more enjoyable. From kitchen utensils, beach towels, to shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom. Coolers for the beach. Games m/ outdoor toys. Really great. The place was overall pretty clean and in a Great location. Sleeps up to 8 and we all found the beds very comfortable. I have 0 complaints about the unit or the owners, Steve and Debbie. They were friendly and really did listen and accommodate our needs/requests. I gave 4 stars because of the pool. The pool is beautiful but not geared towards families at all. The bald pool/bar manager was a major grump. He changed the rules daily as to what was allowed/or expected. He gave the kids trouble for anything other then standing in the pool. Weird rules about t-shirts around the pool. A fun ruiner and grump. Debbie and Steve were excellent and I would recommend this unit/property to others.

Sorry to hear about your experience at the pool. if you are comfortable sharing more details this is something we would like to follow up on on our end, as the members club is supposed to be a benefit for guests/renters and we’ve never had negative comments about it in the past. In fact, comments have generally been very positive and every time we’ve been on site ourselves there are always families with kids of all ages present.

Great Stay on Big Island

We spent three nights in this very nice home. It is spacious and easily accommodated our family of seven - grandparents, parents and three children. The community is beautiful as is the pool, although our kids were frustrated by rules around making any significant noise or even splashing or jumping at all. Basketball court was a nice surprise. There were many nice touches in the unit including materials to wash dishes, do laundry, and shampoo/ conditioner in bathrooms. Suggestions for improvement: we had a very hard time getting the grill up and running (maybe just needed to sit after changing propane tank) so recommend making sure this is in working order; consider updating dryer which took FOREVER to dry loads of towels; internet was slow for those trying to work a little - don’t know if this can be addressed or not. Overall, we recommend this rental! Thank you!

Excellent property and amenities

Plenty of room to accommodate our seven family members. The loft worked well for three teenage boys. Great location: close to snorkeling for all levels (check in with Snorkel Bob), grocery stores and other shopping. Master lanai best for afternoon naps. Close to ocean for morning walks and evening sunsets.

A great place to stay!!!

The accommodations, the location, the view, the people… all were great!! The kitchen and bathrooms had some amenities which really helped! Things like shampoo, body wash, hand soap, garbage bags, laundry detergent, etc… the little things you don’t usually have at a VRBO. I took many evening naps on the upstairs balcony. The breeze was perfect. I would stay here again!!

Beautiful sunset view

Listing is as advertised. Great location. We had 2 families of 4. Huge spacious master. Plenty of room for eating / hanging out. The pool on property is gorgeous and restaurant has great food. Property owners were very responsive and provided lots of good info up front. If I were to make any suggestions, it would be to have some additional bath towels and a drying rack.

Beautiful condo in beautiful area

Our family of six had a perfect stay in this large clean property. Have to mention how great the owners are being attentive and going over and above to make our stay work perfectly for us. All six of us slept so well and weren't lacking for anything in the well stocked condo. The area is quiet and beautiful and reaches to the sea with the amenities area and restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal. Thank you so much for making our stay perfect!
