This is a very spacious 2-bedroom deluxe condo in the Villa La Estancia Resort right on Medano Beach (one of the only swimmable beach areas). The manager was very prompt with any questions, check-in info, etc.

Love Villa Estancia

We’ve stayed at this resort many times. This trip we traveled with multiple family members & were happy we were able to get units close together. As always, each unit is comfortable, clean & well suited. It’s also convenient to have a full kitchen in each unit. Made our trip more enjoyable for the whole family!

Spacious Unit Fantastic Location

Overall, we were quite happy with our stay at Villa La Estancia. It’s a nice property, well kept, solid food and drinks from the poolside restaurant. The location is fantastic, walkable via the beach or street to downtown restaurants, bars, stores and markets. The ocean in front of the hotel was friendly enough for the kids to enter with caution. The unit we stayed in was different than the one we booked, however this was communicated a few days ahead of our arrival. We were told it was an “upgrade”, and perhaps that’s true from a view standpoint, but not certain that holds true for any other features. The king bed was not comfortable, but not a deal breaker. Our check-in experience was less than ideal. While we were aware that check-in time wasn’t until 4 PM, we were disappointed with the complete lack of flexibility . We arrived at 1PM, were told the room wasn’t ready yet, which we completely understood. So, we changed into our suits, had lunch/drinks, played in the pool and went back to the lobby at 3:40 only to be told the room still wasn’t ready. Sure enough, like magic, at 4:01 we were handed the keys to finally enter. We’ll stay at this resort again. The property managers were pleasant, just don’t expect any grace from the front desk whatsoever.

We’re truly sorry we couldn’t accommodate an earlier check-in during your visit. Spring break is one of the busiest times of the year for us, and with guests typically checking out between 10 and 11 AM, our housekeeping team is often working right up until 4 PM to ensure each unit is thoroughly cleaned and ready. We’re glad to hear that our property manager was pleasant and helpful during your stay, and we do hope to have the chance to welcome you back for an even smoother and more enjoyable experience in the future.
