The Place to Be: Lakefront, Hot Tub, Game Room

The Place to Be is tucked away on a lovely Lake Sinclair cove with very little water traffic and is ready for you and your family to enjoy a memorable vacation. We are located just a short 1.5-hour drive from Atlanta where you will be transported to a serene lakefront oasis. Sit on the back porch to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and take in the views or listen to the symphony of frogs and cicadas.

Our home sleeps 16 people in six bedrooms and has three levels to gather as a family or sneak away for late afternoon naps. Our upstairs screened-in porch includes rocking chairs and a swing as well as two large tables for family meals. Our downstairs area includes a movie room, a game room with a pool table and darts while the downstairs porch has a gas grill, hot tub, and additional swings and rocking chairs. There is plenty of room for relaxing here!

Our lot slopes gently to the water which makes it easy to walk to the dock and leaves plenty of room for kids to play, toss around the football and explore including having a playground/fort on site. The dock has an open boat slip so bring your boat! There are chairs on the dock as well as kayaks and some fishing rods for your use. The water at the end of the dock is about 3 feet during the day and gets between 4 – 5 feet later at night as Georgia Power lets in water.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee maker, mixer, blender, microwave, dishwasher, cooking utensils, flatware, glassware, dishes, pots/pans, linens, towels, washer/dryer, and basic cooking spices and oils. We will provide a starter set of dish soap, dishwasher pods, and laundry pods.

We have 4 flat-screen TV’s throughout the house which includes a 65-inch flatscreen in the living room as well as another in the movie room. Both the game room and the kid’s compound on the upper level have a 43-inch flatscreen. All the TVs can access YouTube TV for live television as well as Netflix. There are other apps available as well so bring your logins if you want to access them.

This was our first time staying at this property. There were 15 of us and there was plenty of room! This is a really big house with 3 stories. The 7-8 year olds loved the pool table and karaoke machine on the lower level, while the 3-4 year olds LOVED the huge Barbie house and play kitchen (we were pleasantly surprised that they had this) in the huge kids bedroom with twin trundle beds sleeping 5 kids. There were more than enough beds for all of us. The hot tub was a hit! The lake is real shallow at the dock, but that made it easy and more safe for the 7-8 year olds to put the kayaks in the water themselves and get back in again. Fishing isn't great at the dock because it is so shallow, but my son brought his small boat and was able to catch 8-10 HUGE catfish. We rented a pontoon boat and tube from the nearby marina and had a blast on the lake. We rode to nearby Collins Island and we all enjoyed playing in the shallow water and sand. Plenty of sitting area for all of the family with a big kitchen. We would love to stay again!

Lake house

The house was fine and there was plenty of room. Their was plenty of parking. The back porch was very nice. The pool table is a nice addition.

Celebrating our dads 80th birthday

This house was absolutely perfect for us. We had 17 people ranging from 12-80 years of age. Communication was super easy with the homeowner, Check-in and out was easy, as clean as most rentals and cleaner than a lot we’ve stayed in before. Our big family plans to rent this place again. We loved it.

Almost perfect

The home was great. It was clean, the bedrooms were nice and spacious, the kitchen was clean and equipped with necessary utensils. However, we had a bug problem. It wasn’t the worst, but the property need a good pest control visit. Everything else was great.

Awesome place to be

The property was well maintained and fully equipped so all you need to bring was your food and yourself. Really relaxing and peaceful. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend anybody with a big family to check it out. There’s lots of thing to do with the family wether kayaking, playing games of even singing karaoke, you’ll get to enjoy, Including kids little playground. Thank you for having us and we’ll definitely be coming back.

Birthday bash 2024

We had an absolutely great time. The house was perfect for the amount of people we had staying. The only thing I would ask for is a poker table in the karaoke room. Hot tub was fabulous and the pool table was a hit. We had a great time and would come back and do it all over again. Thanks for having us.

Family fishing trip

We enjoyed our stay. The house was very large and everyone had plenty of room to relax. Craig is always responsive and easy to communicate with— for this reason I often try to rent from him when we go to the lake. This house needed some minor maintenance in a few places, but I informed the owner of the things in need of repair and trust that it has already been addressed.(Minor things like a faucet repair/leaky dishwasher ect.) We had a great time and would stay again!

Birthday Slumber Party

It was supposed to be 14 ladies, but ended up being eight. The house would’ve accommodated ALL 14. Most of us almost had our own room since it was six bedrooms. The property is very spacious and quiet. We are a bunch of neat-freaks and darn near OCD, so no place but home is going to be as tidy as we would like. The description of the property was spot on and the hosts were very communicative and receptive of any feedback. I would definitely book this location again!

Wonderful stay

Our 95 year old mother and her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren had a great weekend stay. Everything you could possibly imagine was available - linens, kitchen items, recreation activities, and plenty of beds. We definitely want to rent again next year.

Summer LakeTime

This property was perfect for our family! Plenty of space for everyone. However, it would have been much better if their had been doors in the downstairs bedrooms and a cleaner carpet upstairs. Also, landscaping needs to be improved on the property. It’s a great house for family!

Very nice house. Very large rooms.

Front of house faces the lake. "Front" yard is very flat to the water and the grass is very nice. The dock is in an off-shoot of the lake so the cove is quiet. There is basically no boat traffic. If you have children there is a playground that is nice. Kitchen, laundry, and trash amenities are very nice. Internet performs well if you have to get work done during your stay. The rooms in the basement do not have formal doors, but they do have door coverings, and it's not an issue for most.

Ladies’ Retreat

We had 6 adults staying overnight and everyone had her own bed and her own space. We relaxed, enjoying the company of each other and the views of the lake. Lovely location.
