Tranquil Views & Walking distance to Mid Town!

Sitting in the heart of Ruidoso, you don't have to go far to see or do anything here! The cabin is within walking distance of Downtown Ruidoso (aka Mid Town) for shopping, food, bars and live entertainment with a Grocery/Liquor store right down the street. It is centrally located to everything there is to see and do in Ruidoso.

It has wonderful views both front and back, with large decks to enjoy the golf course and the beautiful pines. The Elk and Deer will be plenty! Sitting on the back deck you can hear the Ruidoso River flowing and soft sounds of the music on Midtown. The Elk tend to meet up for happy hour on the 12th hole for viewing from the front porch. Wild Horses will sometimes congregate there as well.

We have provided everything you need for a comfortable stay from bed and bath linens to a fully stocked kitchen for your cooking needs. It is equipped with 4 TV's with Dish cable and free wifi. There is a fireplace and a washer/dryer as well. Cabin also has new HVAC unit.

Ruidoso offers skiing, snow tubing, hiking, fishing, golfing, horse races, casinos, children's activities, motorcycle riding, great food and entertainment. There is something to do for everyone and it's fun for all ages! Check out visitruidoso.com for history and fun events that Ruidoso has to offer.

Weekend getaway

What a perfect weekend. The house was perfect and had everything that we needed!! Communication with the host was amazing. Added bonus was having wild horses and deer around the propery ant least 2x a day. Will be staying here again!!!

Amazing wildlife views

Our stay was wonderful, the tenant was wonderful and attentive! It was raining and flooding when we went and she was so kind and provided weather updates regularly. The home is great and peaceful with wonderful wildlife views. Thank Susan for opening your home. We would definitely stay here again!

Cabin was small but worked perfectly for us. Price was good for location and size. Great communication with owner. Would stay here again.

Disc Golf Weekend

Overall stay was great. Area was close to everything we had planned. Easy to get to. House was clean plenty of towels and supplies. Only a minor small complaint, I did not see in book where to throw trash ( 1 kitchen bag) and didn’t realize bin was across the street until we left.

The house was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. There were horses roaming along the river and deer at our front yard! We loved the convenience of walking to restaurants and shopping. Perfect house for our family!

Quiet and cozy

Property was clean and quiet. Back patio was nice in the evenings and is a great space to relax. If you can get past the no AC at the property during the day (not that we were there until the evening anyways) Communication was quick and friendly. Thanks for having us!

Quiet neighborhood. Very clean. Kitchen and eating area small unless you use large outside deck. All three bedrooms were good sizes.

Great Stay. Good Location

We stayed for Thanksgiving. Ruidoso happened to get 6 inches of snow while we stayed. Easy sledding around and close to stores for necessities. The owners were great to communicate with. They offered us free late checkout to make sure we didn’t leave until we felt the roads were safe. There were some plumbing issues with the sink and the owners were very responsive. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cozy & Cute

The house was located close to everything and was in a cozy neighborhood! The actually preoprty itself was very nice ! Not too big not too small just perfect! We loved the back deck and the games they had. The air is so lovely in Ruidoso I could sit outside all day or explore. Also the hosts were always helpful and answered right away ! And at first we were weary of no AC but it turned out just fine ! Comfortable temperatures 😁thanks Nathan and susan !

Comfortable, clean, great location with a fabulous deck

We had a wonderful stay at this house! It is very comfortable, clean, and well stocked with essentials. We spent a lot of time lounging and eating meals on the back deck while the wildlife showed off. Even though it is close to other houses, there was never any noise. There are two ways to walk to mid town for restaurants and shopping. One long way and one short way that is not shown on Google maps. There is a grocery store a short walk away. My niece loved having a bunk bed in her room. She called it her castle.

Great winter retreat

Great place to stay in Ruidoso! The location is perfect, easy to walk to Midtown and restaurants and shopping. The deck in the front and back are perfect for enjoying the mountain air and wildlife viewing. There is a grocery store within walking distance that was nice when we wanted to eat at the house. The house is really nice! The fireplace was awesome as it was cold when we visited and heated up the living room and kitchen nicely. Lots of blankets also. The house was clean, well furnished and loved the decorations. All the beds were comfortable and all in our family slept well. We loved the TV and couches in the living room for family movie time in the evenings. Overall, a cozy house with all that we needed and wanted, perfect location and perfect for relaxing and enjoying time in Ruidoso. The owners were great with communication also. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

Cozy, Quiet & Beautiful Views

Super Cute House, Quiet Location with friendly neighbors out walking dogs in the neighborhood. Pretty view of golf course from front porch where we did spot a momma & baby elk. Convenient location to the grocery store, coffee shops and shopping. We failed to read the list of amenities or reviews and were unaware that this house did not have an Air Conditioner. We had lots to do in town so we didn't get to the house till evening time anyway. Temps were in the 90s so it took a bit for house to cool off enough to even use covers to sleep. Our last morning there we were greeted by some deer in the back yard that were grazing - they stuck around for a good 30 mins just letting us talk to them and take pictures. We will definitely rent again (during cooler temperature times of year).

Nice but can be improved

It was in a nice neighborhood, but cleaning needs a little more attention. The only comfortable bed was the bottom bunk bed. Again I know people have different likings to beds, but they just were not to our liking. Dishes needed to be rewashed prior to using and grill was pretty bad and had to be cleaned. Might need to be sprayed, we saw at least 4 spiders and saw cob webs in a few different places of the house. We removed them and cleaned the different things that we used. It would just help if prior tenants would be as curtious to clean better and if cleaning crew would make sure to check everything (grill, ice box, showers, entry ways). Other than that it was a quiet and nice stay, jist lottle things that could have improved the timw there.

We live on Lake Travis in Austin, TX. After visiting several years ago in our RV, we fell in love with Ruidoso. The area and the people are what makes this place so great and what drove us to purchase a home here. We are excited to get to stay here and also share the experience with others. In Austin we ran a B&B out of our house and called Tranquility and decided that Tranquility II was the perfect name for this Tranquil spot located in the Sierra Blanca mountain range.

The location and the views at this property made it a no brainer for us. You are so close to everything in town with easy access to restaurants, entertainment, Art, shopping, groceries and all the many fun activities in and around Ruidoso.

Just around Happy Hour time you can sit on the front porch and watch the Elk come out to the 12th hole across the street. They are majestic! In fact they are everywhere in Ruidoso along with the wild horses. It is pretty special to see a herd of them meandering around town. Please be respectful and never touch or feed them, they are special.
