Loon is made for the kind of lake week where everyone can be together without feeling crowded.
The house sits directly on Green Lake with its own private beach and access to the dock at the bottom of the yard. Mornings begin quietly by the water. By afternoon, people drift between the private beach, the kayaks and the dock; evenings move outside for dinner and s’mores around the fire pit.
Inside, the layout works especially well for large and multi-generational groups. There are king suites on two floors, including a ground-floor suite with an en-suite bathroom, walk-in shower and bathtub. A queen bedroom and full bedroom complete the upper floor. The renovated kitchen has granite counters, stainless appliances and lake views, with comfortable spaces for the group to cook, eat and spend time together.
The separate walk-out apartment adds a queen bed, single bed, two sleeper sofas, full bathroom, kitchenette and its own entrance. It gives teenagers, in-laws or late-arriving friends more privacy while keeping everyone close. Loon sleeps 11 in beds, or up to 15 with sleeper sofas.
Outside, guests have a patio, deck, grill, outdoor dining area and fire pit. Kayaks, paddleboards and a canoe are included and shared with the two neighboring homes. Mooring may be available by request. Fast fiber Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected when needed; otherwise, the home is TV-free by design, with board games and the lake just outside.
Green Lake is on the quieter side of the Acadia region. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are approximately 45 minutes away, Ellsworth is about 20 minutes and Bangor about 30 minutes. Most guests plan more trips than they take. The lake has a way of keeping people.
