Once upon a time there was a barn called 'the demolished barn' which was used as a sheepfold and a stable, as there were no more sheep on the farm, this barn has been partly transformed into a 60m² gite ideal for 2 people (+ 1 baby). With its bay window offering a superb view of the surrounding landscape alternating meadows and dry stone walls, its large and bright living room and its furniture and decoration harmoniously blending authenticity, quality, comfort and aesthetics...you will live an unforgettable experience in the heart of this estate, located on a 200ha property, in the Regional Natural Park of the Causses du Quercy, 1.5km from the village of Assier (castle and renaissance church, shops). Close to major sites (Padirac, Rocamadour, 3 of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, several castles and medieval towns, the Dordogne, Célé and Lot valleys...) but away from busy roads. Numerous walks and bicycle rides (direct access).All linen & towels are provided and beds are made up before arrival. Ground floor: playroom (private). Upstairs: spacious and bright living room, consisting of a living room, dining area, fully equipped kitchenette, large bay window with sliding doors and covered balcony, attic bedroom separated from the living room by a curtain (1 bed 160x200), bathroom (shower 'Italian' style) and toilet. Central heating by pellet stove. Baby kit at disposal : bed, high chair, bath, safety gate...Outside, private fenced garden, large communal courtyard with a pond where it is possible to fish, and an above ground wooden swimming pool (4.12 diam x 1.20 deep) to share with the tenants of the gite 'Le Garde-Pile'.
