This property is an apartment unit with a management explicitly prohibiting VRBO.

I complained to VRBO about this property. It is an apartment unit whose management explicitly prohibits VRBO, with signs throughout the property stating it as such. During my stay, I received notices from management stating tenant has not been paying rent for at least three months. I contacted the tenant about it and she was hostile, insisting that she pays her rent and that it was just a “glitch” in the management’s system. We agreed for her to clear up the matter and that she would email me a confirmation letter from management stating that issue has been resolved. The following week, another notice was posted at the door stating she has been delinquent with her rent for a longer period of time. I contacted VRBO and after several phone conversations and emails with customer service, VRBO decided to house me in a hotel while I look for another property, refund my 3-month payment, and take down the property from their listings. I have documents and pictures to prove my review and statements. If the property is still up on VRBO, beware.

A lot of work but worth it

Original communication got off to a very sour start with the host. She was new to short term rentals and it took a large amount of back and forth to confirm a reservation that was already confirmed. I was worried I was going to lose the reservation or show up and not be let in many times. We finally sorted that piece and when I arrived the house was still full of her things - food included. I think this all came as a result of host never having used this platform before. Blinds fell off and we had to file a maintenance report. After check in everything was lovely- host and house. The place is perfect for one or two people, such an incredible location and amenities are fantastic. Cute house with spirit and vibe.
