Enjoy fishing, swimming, kayaking just outside your doorstep. Watch the eagles over head while enjoying the lake during the day and listen to the loons as you enjoy a lakeside campfire.

This home was perfect, clean and even better than described. Location was perfect for our family of 4 as we explored Maine’s coast. Staying right on the Lake was a plus to relax with coffee and enjoy the lake view. Hosts were also very receptive and friendly. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Everything about the stay was easy, relaxing, and over the top. We didn’t have the first issue finding the home, getting checked in, and there was plenty of amenities and then some! We had the cutest little toolbox prepped with s’mores supplies that that kids loved. It was so cozy and we definitely recommend and will be back!

This house was the perfect stay for our family! Clean, comfortable, and had a well stocked kitchen. Beautiful view overlooking the lake and nice sunroom. Kids played on the beach. We kayaked with the provided gear. The host provided s’mores and some firewood for the fire pit, which was a very nice touch. Grill, fishing gear, cooler, and outdoor table and chairs were available as well, but we did not use them. We stayed here as a home base for Acadia NP. Took us about 45 min-hour to get to our park destinations, but it was very close to Ellsworth (which had restaurants, Walmart, etc.) The only negative was the road noise at times. The house was on a fairly busy road next to a bridge. We would definitely recommend this listing to others and would stay again ourselves! The host was very helpful and thorough in her communication.

Our family had a wonderful stay here. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to make it feel like home. Its very obvious the owners put a lot of thought into making the house comfortable and functional for families. My 8 year old loved the lake and was out fishing whenever he could. The road is louder than i had anticipated and it did take away from the tranquility of the lake a bit. The water levels of the lake were a lot lower than expected and we were a bit disappointed we couldnt really fish off the dock like the pictures made it look. Location was perfect as we were able to visit Acadia twice and be back home for the afternoon and relax away from the crowds.

Spotlessly clean, updated lakefront home with reliable central A/C, plenty of hot water, and fresh towels throughout our week-long stay. The owners went above and beyond outdoors — fishing rods, row boats, kayaks, dry firewood, a Duraflame log, and a stocked s'mores kit were all ready to go, plus a gas grill with spare propane and a set-up outdoor table/chairs/umbrella for lakeside meals. On the downside, the property sits near a busy road, and traffic noise was quite noticeable both inside and outside, sometimes disrupting sleep depending on which bedroom you're in; paper towels and toilet paper were also sparse for a week with 4 people, and a vegetable peeler would round out the kitchen. Overall a comfortable stay we'd book again, but light sleepers may want to request a bedroom farthest from the road.

This rental is very central to many of the natural attractions in the Ellsworth area, so it is a good place to stay if you are going to be up and out for adventures each day. Unfortunately, that's not all that we were looking for. Given the high ratings for this rental, we decided that any noise created by the road that we could see in the photo must be minimal, so we booked our week-long stay with plans for a relaxing lakeside vacation. That was a mistake. The road in the photo is a highway, Rte. 180 that is heavily used by trucks and cars, and the house is no more than 50 feet away. The commuter and commercial traffic began by 5:00 AM during the week and as a result we had a very hard time getting any rest. More upsetting was the fact that we were unable to enjoy any peace in the yard or down by the lake. It was simply too loud. It was not safe to walk up the road, so we had to drive away from the house if we wanted to go for a walk. Additionally, we arrived to find a lakefront very different than the one posted online, with a very low water level. The water's edge was nowhere near the base of the dock and it would have been difficult to swim with the water so low. The photographs in the online listing were not current and did not reflect the water level or state of the waterfront. If you are looking for a peaceful spot where you can enjoy nature, we encourage you to look elsewhere.

This is a great property right on the lake. The house was clean and comfortable with a great fire pit for evenings by the fire. We traveled about 30 minutes to both Acadia and Bar Harbor with ease. Really enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend!

Great Place To Stay

This property is very well equipped but unpretentious thus making it extremely comfortable. Everything in this property is very well thought out. And it is very clean. The kitchen is quite amazing. Communication was great as was checking in and access. I would highly recommend staying here when in the Ellsworth area.

A Lovely Place

Accommodations were comfortable and clean. It had a well stocked kitchen with everything you need. The fire pit was nice and the s’more kit was a nice surprise.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfectly stocked and super clean. I loved having coffee in the morning in the sunroom overlooking the lake. We appreciated the firewood, blankets, S’mores kit, and easy check in. The house is beautiful with lots of natural light to take in the views. Our stay was during the late October fall season. The lake and fall foliage were gorgeous. The house is next to a busy highway but we got used to the traffic and it didn’t deter from the peaceful location.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay here very much! Home was clean and as described. Loved the little extra touches- we had a great campfire one evening and enjoyed the s’mores that were provided. The lake is beautiful and we saw loons and a bald eagle. There’s even a nice hiking trail at the nearby fish hatchery.

We loved the property and enjoyed kayaking on the lake. Also enjoyed making S’mores ( the host generously supplied ingredients) over the fire pit. My husband and son caught a lot of fish out of the lake. We also enjoyed the puzzles and games they had there for us to use.
