Let the ocean breeze lull you into a relaxing vacation mode at this dog-friendly home away from home! You and your group will enjoy a prime location mere steps away from the beach, restaurants, convenience stores, and all that Depoe Bay has to offer.

This two-story aparthotel is perfect for small families traveling together, a large family, and even groups of friends or couples. Upon entering, you'll soon notice the nautical-themed decor of the kitchen and dining area. Surprise your beloved guests with mouth-watering meals prepared in the kitchen, which boasts gorgeous stainless steel appliances, including a full-size fridge, stove, oven, and dishwasher, a coffee maker, microwave, and even a small electric oven. When it's time to eat, you can either enjoy your meals at the dining table right off the kitchen or take them outside to the picnic table on the deck.

Then, when it's time to retreat and rest after a memorable meal, you and your friends can unwind in the living room where a large flatscreen TV with cable and a gas fireplace will be waiting for you all. The first level of this coastal gem also features three bedrooms and one bathroom. All three bedrooms have a flatscreen TV with cable and they share a full bath with a tub/shower combo. Upstairs, a loft-type bedroom with a flatscreen TV, balcony, and en-suite bath with a walk-in shower will be waiting. There are other three bedrooms available that are not connected to the main house and are actually located across the parking lot. All three bedrooms have their own bathroom and a kitchenette.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We were disappointed with this rental facility. The major complaint was the apparent lack of maintenance. The mattresses were old and uncomfortable. There were 4 chairs on the deck when we arrived, one of which had only 3 legs instead of 4 and 2 chairs had broken arms - we had Vacasa remove all 3 of these dangerous chairs. Some of the carpet had folds in it, and some doors didn't close properly. The outside of the buildings needed cleaning and painting. We had to call Vacasa to bring enough towels for everyone. There were no bath mats. We didn't find any recycling containers. There was simply a lack of attention to detail. We saw a "for sale" sign on the rental house and wondered if the owner had just stopped doing maintenance because it was up for sale.

First of all I had to contact VRBO to get my codes. I rented the entire house and cabanas . I was only sent two codes. After three or four calls. I finally got in . When you first open the door the house smells! Filthy carpets in every room ! The sofa was stained. The so called hot tub did work properly. No jets were working ! There was also a passed due notice on the frig about the water being shut off ! This place was up for sale. It felt like it was going into foreclosure. My brother had to unstop the bathroom sink ! TVs didn't work in the cabanas. The pots and pans should have been replaced 30 years ago ! This place is like a switch and bait and. I paid premium price for four nights. The view is the only thing nice about this place, but we couldn't even sit outside, because every single chair was broken ! The double bedroom smelled so bad it couldn't be used ! My brother had to make different arrangements for his family. I got so sick from the mold from the carpets that I had to call my doctor on a Saturday in Texas for meds ! Three other family members got sick . Each one stayed in three cabanas. The carpets should be replaced, but were shampooed and still wet ! There is another review from 2023 that states the carpets should be replaced ! Don't rent this place !

Captain’s Quarters

We had a large group and used all the buildings. There was plenty of room for all 14 of us. Keeping in mind that it’s an older building that gets an incredible amount of use, we felt it fit our needs perfectly and we truly enjoyed ourselves. It’s right across the street from the sea wall and the shops are all right there. We never used our car while we were there. We saw whales from the kitchen and the loft. It’s in the perfect location. Our group had an amazing time and we will return. Thank you

Customer service means everything

Overall, we enjoyed the property. Not fancy, but comfortable, liked the hot tub and the crows nest upstairs bedroom with private bath and a nice view. I don’t wanna come across too picky so the only negative I will mention came down to customer service. Check-in should’ve been 4 PM per the contract but it almost the last minute. I was notified that that would not be 6 PM due to delay with the cleaners. Since there wasn’t much I could do to fix that. I requested late check out on the day of departure – denied! I feel that there should’ve been some kind of compensation whether discount or just extend the hours on the end. I thought that was a no-brainer.

had a great time just disappointed on the maintenance of the home. dishwasher was full so we had to unload. master shower door handle broke so could keep door shut. paint chipped all over, weeds everywhere, debris in hot tub, locks on house and cabanas very difficult to work. we had a wonderful time even though there were issues.

Great location

This was a good place for our family reunion - several private bedrooms and bath for multiple couples and a fun room for kids. It was clean and in a great location - within view and sound of the ocean and within walking distance to shops along the main highway. Close to Newport for groceries and other family activities. Allows dogs but no fence and no grass on property - had to walk dog to other areas off property. It sleeps 14 but there is no gathering place for 14 - dining area seats six with four bar stools. The furniture and beds in both house and apartments are showing age, are uncomfortable, and should be replaced, especially for cost of listing. Stains on carpets and furniture are visible and there is a dog smell in the house. It would be nice to be able to connect with the owner - while Vacasa was immediately responsive, it was unfortunately impersonal. Despite these suggestions, the family had a great time and gave the listing a 4 out of 5.

Great place for a large family

We rented the house and all three cabanas, which is a lovely way to have a family vacation with some areas for privacy! I have stayed in the home before, but this was the first time with the cabins/cabanas, which are actually much more remodeled and updated than the home. The hot tub is a great addition; however, it seemed to stop working or at least not heat very well a few days in. Finally, I pointed out a few issues the first time I was there that weren't fixed this time, including: - front porch light didn't work (finally, after asking multiple times in December and again on this stay someone came out and changed the light bulb). This was a problem because it's a very dark area and light is needed if you're going out to the car or walking the dog at night. - hallway dresser drawers fall out on people if they try to open them; dresser needs to be replaced or the drawers fixed. It is also unstable and fell on my daughter the first time we stayed. - The beds in the main house are all very uncomfortable and I slept the terrible the entire trip. I would recommend you upgrade the beds and mattresses if you want people to return. I know it's an upfront cost but would be worth it for the positive reviews and experiences. Also, one nice addition would be to put a door on the upstairs room, although we functioned just fine without it. We did hang a blanket over the window, though, so that we could sleep in as the upstairs room is very bright, even with the blinds closed. While I have offered areas for improvement, we would definitely return here again (a third time). We absolutely LOVE the view, the location, the balconies, the ability to have so many guests in one place while not all in the same house.

Comfy and cozy

Me and my family enjoyed time away and being able to bring our dog was a plus! We have a big family so it was fitting and I’m sure we will return! And to top it off the view was beautiful and you could hear the whales at night.

Beautiful home

The house and cabins were beautiful and the location was great but unfortunately the house was filthy. We found old fake nails and dog bones under the couch in the main house and used floss sticks in the couch if one of the cabins. There was weird random smells in the main house sometimes a sewer like smell and One of the dryers smelt really bad when we used it. We also found a sock in the upstairs bathroom that didn’t belong to any of us and popsicles in the freezer of one of the cabins. The railing at the corner by the front door is wobbly and doesn’t seem very safe. Fireplace doesn’t work in the red cabin and we had no WiFi in the cabins. The table on the back patio isn’t connected at top and one of our toddlers leaned on it and a boated came up causing her to almost fall. I would recommend staying here if it was cleaner it’s a really cool place but I don’t want to stay somewhere so filthy.
