A cute and cozy cottage with vintage décor nestled along the Hassayampa Nature Preserve overlooking the park-like setting of our mesquite grove – A birder’s delight! The roomy kitchen features plenty of counter space with three barstools and cozy kitchen nook. The living room features a sofa-sleeper (Air/mattress hybrid) and retro writing desk. Tile floors throughout, skylights and glass-block bathroom shower stall. The birder’s bedroom offers a comfy Queen-size bed looking out through French doors to an inviting private front porch. This casita offers parking for one car/pick-up - Sorry, no oversize vehicles or trailers.

IMPORTANT! Main entry gates MUST be kept closed from dusk to daylight. We're in a rural area, we need to keep the nocturnal animals off the property.
The speed limit on our property is 2-MPH. We have narrow gravel driveways - 2-MPH is also for the safety of our guests.
As a courtesy to all of our guests, after 10PM, we ask that noise levels are to be kept to a reasonable minimum. Thank you!

A Pleasant Place to Stay

I enjoy staying here with a nature preserve behind the property. It wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the birds and other creatures. The bungalow is very nice and always clean, very neat, and comfortable.

This property is like a home away from home. Everything is perfect. It makes you feel like you're on a little ranch, just four miles from downtown Wickenburg. I would highly recommend the Rio to everyone . . . but please keep it a secret between us!

Fantastic Location and Owners

Mark and Laura are wonderful people to be around! They make staying in Wickenburg a real treasure! They are quite the artists as well. I enjoyed my stay in their well appointed Bungalow next a nature preserve. I loved watching all the birds, deer, coyotes, and javelina. I will definitely stay there again in there relaxing casitas. Fabulous Find

This place has three cabins on site Along with the owner's home. Each one has a name and a distinct decorating theme. Ours was called the bungalow and was a lovely vintage decor. We have been traveling for 5 weeks and stayed at many different places and the kitchen was the best appointed and arranged we have experienced so far! And it had everything else you need as well.

Perfectly Peaceful

This property deserves 10 stars. Very quiet, great location, excellent cleaning procedures and amazing hosts. The attention to detail in each Casita is outstanding and the grounds are colorful and have a great western vibe. Loved this stay. Thanks Mark & Laura

Super cute and comfy

Perfect weekend getaway for the 2 of us. Convenient location, wonderful surroundins, furnished with everything we needed to wind down and relax. Great communication with very friendly hosts! Definitely would love to stay again

Rio Tierra Casitas is a destination that seeks to offer all of our guests a serine experience. We are the anti-corporate experience. Our goal is to ensure all of our guests a unique restful experience. But we need to mention that we cannot accommodate trailers or other oversize vehicles.
