We loved every bit of our stay! The house was by far the cleanest and most spacious home we've stayed in ocean lakes. Plenty of room for 2 families (12 total) to stay comfortably. We plan to book this house again for next summer. The owner was quick to respond, very helpful and pleasant.

EXCELLENT

Perfect location! Kitchen was just right: dish washer, coffee maker, and storage! Loved that the house is not full of nick-nacks. Elevator was great! Deck was large with plenty of seating and a great place for a family card game in the evening. Lots of space for our large family! Owner very clear with instructions. Would highly recommend.

P24 BEST House ever…

It is the perfect house for a large family. The best deck ever. We are outside every night because it was perfect shady area. Host was always available to answer any questions.

Beach vacay

Everything was exactly as described in advertisement and in pictures. Elevator was a must for us having 2 handicapped individuals (1 wheelchair bound) in our party. Great location, very roomy, clean. If staying in Ocean Lakes getting a golf cart is a must!!! Will definitely be going back!!!!!

Great vacation!

Another great year at Oceanlakes. The house was very spacious. The elevator was very useful for loading and unloading. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions and concerns that we had during our stay.

Almost perfect

We loved everything about this house except the location. In previous houses we felt safe letting the kids ride their bikes and scooters out front. Definitely couldn’t let them do that here. The road the house is on is a main cut through for campers to get the campsites and believe me they fly down that road. Other than that this house was perfect. Plenty of space for everyone to sleep, everything was clean and we had enough parking for 2 trailers, 2 suvs, 2 golf carts and the kind neighbor let us park our 3rd vehicle at their spot so we wouldn’t have to use the overflow parking. Thanks Rodney for letting us enjoy your house!

Everything you need and want in a beach rental!

This house is in a convenient area of Ocean Lakes. Just a couple of turns from the highway, Sandy Mart and playgrounds. The elevator made unloading our things from the car a breeze! Seriously, I think we would rent the house just for that perk in itself. Perfect for bringing suitcases up the three floors and for some adults with us who have trouble climbing stairs. Major bonus points! The house is laid out nicely and we enjoyed the large living and dining area that are open concept. It allowed us to all be together and not be on top of each other. We really appreciated the gate on the porch as well so we could let the children play and not have to worry about the stairs. Everything was neat and tidy in the home and everything we needed from vacuum cleaners to laundry detergent was supplied. Overall a great experience and we would love to rent this home again if we return to Ocean Lakes.

Great House with an elevator

The house was very clean & exactly how it was described. The owner was a great communicator & quickly responded to my questions prior to my stay. The elevator went to all the floors which was a must for some of my group. I would definitely stay in this house again.

Our Vacation at Ocean Lakes

The home was clean, everything worked properly and the elevator was wonderful with a family member with MS! The road was really busy with all the campers being brought through this particular rd, but it was also close to the water park for the kids so We would definitely stay again.

Interesting Place

This is a spacious house in a rather crowded "neighborhood". The property is located inside the Ocean Lakes Family Campground. Lots of privately owned homes, but also many, many camping spaces. Just about everyone staying inside this monstrous campground property has a golf cart. Navigating traffic within this location is horrendous. It turned out the the Ocean Lakes people could make up their own rules when it comes to charging what they want for each vehicle in your party to park at the house you rented there. We had four vehicles, with the house having adequate parking for four vehicles, but the Ocean Lakes people charged us $84 for each vehicle as a "parking fee" just to enter the property so we could get to the house we already paid rent on. The house itself is nicely laid out for an extended family to stay in. This house has an elevator which was a definite plus, especially when moving in and then on departure day. Some things are dated and/or were hard to get working, the TV's in particular. The TV in the lower floor bedroom was a 12" portable CRT unit with a cable box attached. I owned a similar TV over 20 years ago. The clothes dryer did not dry the clothes. I think this is due to the vent for the lint filter most likely being clogged. The door seal for the dishwasher was out of place causing water to run all over the kitchen floor. We did let the homeowner of these things. The homeowner was very easy to work with in every way leading up to our stay there. He was cordial and friendly. I would not mind dealing with him again in the future if he has a property that is NOT located within the Ocean Lakes Family Campground. Personally, I do not plan on returning to that "campground" ever again.

Our family is from the Upstate of SC. We have been coming to all Ocean Lakes all our lives. Mom and Dad built this house in 2004 for their three children and seven grandchildren. Mom and Dad have since passed away but the family still enjoys coming down and staying. We offer our guests the opportunity to come and stay in our beautiful beach house and enjoy a part of what we all worked so hard to create here in Ocean Lakes.

The house was built so our entire family could come and all stay together. Mom and Dad had an elevator put in mainly for my brother who is a paraplegic. We learned quickly it is also great for transporting luggage, groceries, gear, etc. into and out of the house instead of using the stairs. We did all the finish work inside of the house ourselves to include the flooring, cabinetry, painting and decorating.
