River Front Cabin on 1 acre - 14 Minutes to Downtown Durango

‘Our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom single level cabin is on 1 acre and sits directly on the Florida River offering privacy and seclusion along with amazing fishing. The cabin is adjacent to BLM land offering even more river frontage to the west. There is also a small neighborhood lake just a short walk away that features a beach and more fishing as well as paddle boarding etc.

Its hard to believe the cabin is less then 15 minutes from historic downtown Durango.

The cabin has a fantastic covered deck next to the river and features all the standard amenities including super fast Starlink WIFI, Cable TV, washer/dryer and nostalgic western memorabilia as well as amazing paintings the owner painted.

Bed Configuration:
Bedroom 1 - Queen with Ensuite Bath (main level)
Bedroom 2 - Queen (main Level)
Bedroom 3 - Double (main level)

Consistent with most Colorado mountain resorts, the cabin does not offer air-conditioning. Additionally, the cabin is not pet friendly, so please do not bring the furry friends.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Beautiful location!!!

The pictures of the property do NOT do it justice! To be right on the river and catch trout in the backyard was an amazing experience for our family. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a great time and enjoyed our experience there. If we ever vacation in Durango in the future, I’d definitely stay at this home again!

Excellent Stay - Any Season

We loved this property and the cabin itself. The only thing was the listing showed photos of a room with 2 bunk beds but there were only 3 double beds available, so one kiddo slept on the couch. He enjoyed sleeping by the fire though,so it all worked out.

We have made sure to update the listing to reflect the correct bedding information moving forward. We’d love to host you again in the future!

Family vacation

My husband and I, and my mother, spent five days in Durango. The Between the Waters home was a perfect fit for us. The river just steps from the back deck made for soothing time to just sit and enjoy, both the river and the cool weather. The home itself had plenty of room for the three of us.

Great cozy home. The location was good for getting to town. I wish the river had more flow to it so we could have fished. That being said it was still the end of winter and things were still frozen. All in all it was a great trip. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at this property and won’t be our last. We love this home and the location. We spent 10 days here and had a fantastic time with our girls. The only issue we had was with the WiFi and our phone service. Thank you so much for choosing to return to our property for your second stay, and for sharing your experience with us. We are thrilled to hear that you love the home and its location, and that you had a fantastic 10-day stay making memories with your girls. We're sorry to hear about the issue you encountered with the WiFi and phone service. However, it's wonderful to hear that this situation led to unexpected positive outcomes—like painting, playing board games, and enjoying card games together. Sometimes, unplugging from technology can lead to the most memorable experiences and quality time spent with loved ones. Although we have no control over cell phone service, we have worked with Century Link, the provider, to ensure the wifi is working as intended. We can't wait to welcome you back for your next visit. Please feel free to reach out to us directly when you're ready to return, and we'll ensure another wonderful stay for you and your family.
