Private Oceanfront Pearmid "Whales Tail"

This private beachfront home is located directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Check out the beautiful panoramic views of miles and miles of beach, spectacular sun rises and amazing moon rises from every room in the house. Experience endless beach walks, fishing, swimming, sun bathing, shell and shark teeth searching...the list goes on. Enjoy lounging or eating meals on our spacious deck, watching the waves come crashing in, and keep an eye out for dolphin pods passing by! Our beautiful home is located on A1A about 6 miles north of the Vilano Bridge Plan your visit into historical St. Augustine where you can enjoy touring the town by trolley, golf cart, walking, or car. With 4 spacious bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms there is plenty of space for your guests to spread out or come together for meals and entertainment in the upstairs open concept living, dining and kitchen area with vaulted ceilings. Every room has a gracious view of the ocean with direct access to the upper and lower decks. There is one King size and one Queen size bedroom upstairs, one King size and 1 Bunk Room (3 twins, 1 full) downstairs. In addition to the full kitchen there is a kitchenette downstairs for the ultimate convenience. House comes complete with linens, beach towels, chairs, toys, and appliances. Fireplace is decorative only.

As a small company, we put a tremendous amount of effort into upkeep and maintenance of our oceanfront property. We have a dedicated property manager and we are here to deliver “the small things” that make staying with us, (over the bigger companies,) well worth it!

Perfect family vacation

This house was perfect for my wife and I, two daughters, two son in laws and three grandchildren. The beach is just a few steps from the back deck. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Family get away

We really liked toe way the house is divided into top & bottom. The bottom floor had a kitchen and plenty of room So everyone didn’t have to do the same thing at the same time

House and Location was perfect for family

Whales Tail was great!

We had a great stay. We enjoyed being so close to the beach and also enjoyed the fact that the beach was not crowded. We had many dolphin sightings and even had a new turtle nest appear on our last night. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any turtles but we kept hoping. We had a couple of minor issues with the house but they did not impact our stay at all due to the fast and thorough response of the property manager and the property owner. We had a great week but it was over too soon

Location, location, location!

If you want the beach, this is the place to stay. If you want to be close to St. Augustine, this is the place to stay. The house is accurately described in the listing. Our family of 8 adults and one 8 month old had all the space we needed. Extras such as beach chairs, towels, and starter soap supplies were greatly appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay!

Awesome beach home

Awesome beach home with great accessibility to the beach. Home was furnished with all the essentials. Loved the views out all the windows. The open kitchen, dining and living room allowed us all to enjoy time together. Yet the home was spacious enough for us to have our own bedrooms and place to unwind. The pictures were accurate so there were no surprises or disappointments upon arrival. We would definitely stay here again. The host was very accommodating and made our stay very enjoyable.

Wonderful experience

The pictures did not disappoint. The property was beautiful and the location breath-taking. We saw dolphins on multiple days, pelicans, crabs. The hosts were great and quick to reply to any questions or concerns. Highly recommended.

End of Summer Multi-Family Beach Trip

We had such an amazing trip to South Ponte Vedra. The house was everything we hoped it would be. It was super spacious and perfectly constructed for a multi-family trip. You couldn't ask for easier access to the beach. It was only a few steps off the back porch and the beach itself was great. During our stay, no one else was set up within 50 yards of us. It was so nice to be able to relax on an uncrowded beach. Everything about our stay was great and then on the last night we actually got to witness baby sea turtles hatching right next to the house. Talk about a magical ending to a perfect trip. We will hopefully be staying here again for years to come and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in that area.

Not bad but can improve

Let me start by saying that Kelley was fantastic. Always promptly answering any questions. As far as this property; the proximity to the amazing beach is wonderful. St Augustine is a short 12 minute drive which was great as well. The beds and couches were comfortable. If you plan to cook in the kitchen you need to bring everything you’d need. Cooking oils, Tupperware/foil etc and any tools that are not baseline kitchen utensils. The stove and fridge do need updating. Overall the home was comfortable and we enjoyed our week.

Great location/ Disappointed in house

We loved the beach and proximity to town. The house was very disappointing. My heart sank when we pulled up. It only sleeps 7 adults maximum. The bunk room is only suitability for kids but not for adults. The furniture was old and dirty. Showers had mildew. Toilets need a good cleaning. Rugs and bed linens looked like they haven’t been changed in a long time. Will definitely return to same area but not this particular house.

Fantastic

The beach is just out the sliding doors! Large open kitchen/dining/living room on second floor. Plenty of kitchen cooking pots and pans, toaster, drip and pod coffee makers, dish and dishwasher soap. Comfortable beds and plenty of bath and beach towels. Downstairs sitting room/kitchenette had a few plates, coffee mugs, dish soap, small fridge, and a microwave. Nice touch. Access to the bunk room is through the downstairs king bedroom, so that may be an issue for some travelers. Bathrooms havea small bar of soap and a roll of toilet paper. Clothes washer/dryer with some detergent. The layout provides many sitting areas for gatherings and for finding a quiet spot for solitude. Communication with Leah was awesome! Our trip was the Saturday after Hurricane Ian hit on Thursday. Leah kept us informed every step of the way. Thankfully, no damage to the area, and we were on our flight Saturday morning! The neighborhood is quite and the beach is easy to walk on. Publix grocery, liquor store, and a few restaurants are about 10 minutes away. St. Augustine is across a causeway about 15 minutes away. I would not hesitate to stay again and to recommend this property. Thank you, Leah!

Perfect Beachfront Property

There are 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, interior and exterior stairs (an FYI for those with mobility issues), balcony doors off of every bedroom, the downstairs kitchenette was very convenient. The beach is literally steps away from the deck. The bunk room bedroom is accessed through the other downstairs bedroom. Beautiful views from every room. Everyone in our group had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the decks and the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The Publix at Vilano Beach is 4 miles away. The fun in St Augustine is a short 6 miles away. The property manager is very attentive. We had zero complaints and a pleasant vacation. We hope to return again next year.

Summer Vacation with the family

The location of the house and the beach were absolutely beautiful. The set up of the rooms worked- but I didn’t realize to access the bunk room you have to walk through the other downstairs bedroom. That might be helpful for someone else to know that info. We did have to kill a few palmetto/roach bugs in the master bedroom/bathroom. The beach supplies were nice and plenty of towels if you forgot yours.

The PERFECT Vacation Spot in Florida!

My family had an amazing experience at Whales Tale! The home is beautiful and comfortable. The access to the beach is unbelievable! The home is far enough away from the touristy part of St. Augustine, giving you the ability to relax and just focus on family fun, and the beach. But at the same time, you are minutes away from doing all of the touristy stuff you'd like to do in St. Augustine! It is the perfect balance! I highly recommend this property, and Leah is extremely responsive and easy to work with! We loved Whale Tail and will absolutely stay there again! Thank you!!! -David

Clean & Comfortable - On the Beach!

We were really comfortable staying at Whales Tail. Accommodations were ample, clean and comfortable. We were blessed with some super beach days in Feb. which were a real bonus. Easy access to St Augustine and Publix and Puccini Pizzareia is right down the road. Property Manager Leah was super accessible from out initial inquiry right through our departure. We will be back!

A golf vacation

The house is well located right on the beach (too cold for sitting on the beach but it's February). The inside was well laid out and plenty of space. The bathrooms had basic amenities like soap, toilet paper, paper towels. There was no need to scramble to purchase supplies the minute you got there. The kitchen had all the utensils you would ever need. Every bedroom had its own TV. The only negative was the tile floor in the main room which made for a lot of sound reverberations.

Holiday get away

Happy Holiday

Great property! Comfortable, clean, plenty of room. Kitchen much more than adequately supplied with table service and cookware. Extra sink/fridge downstairs very helpful- covered porch and seating areas outside were wonderful. Would recommend to others.
