Graduation family time

We were here to honor or youngest daughter for her graduation from WCU. While it was about a half hour to the campus, we all enjoyed the peaceful setting and enjoyed using the lovely grill to make a big steak dinner for all. Everything was very nice and the home was well equipped.

Thanksgiving 2024

Our family of 10 enjoyed the house and property. Our active grandchildren had plenty of space to expend their energy. We used the house to reconnect with friends in the area, ride the Polar Express, participate in the Local Turkey Trot and a delicious turkey dinner from the Chop House. Riverfront Retreat

We had a great time at this beautiful home! The kids loved playing in the yard, hiking, swimming/tubing in the river, and cookouts on the deck. What a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We will definitely plan another vacation at this beautiful home.

Great location lovely house

This was perfect for our family of five adults. Plenty of items in the kitchens and bed and bathrooms. Beautiful property. Excellent directions to the property. Owner was very responsive if we had questions. Highly recommend.

This was a wonderful location! Very relaxing and comfortable!

We are three couples that have traveled together for 24 years. This was a great halfway point for us to get together again. We loved the river behind the house, the grill/sink and bar area on the deck by the river, the fire pit and the beautiful night sky! The house itself was so comfortable and had everything you needed.

Amazing place and property

We had an amazing stay. The property was gorgeous, the house was amazing and provided everything we needed. Everything exceeded our expectation. The kitchen was perfect, bedrooms were comfortable, price range was great. Our party was (2) four person families and never felt cramped. You definitely will not be disappointed.

What a treat!

It was such a treat to stay at this property. The home was well stocked and was a delightful place to unwind for the week. Our children (12 and 14) enjoyed tubing, playing in the river, and fishing. The outdoor kitchen space was wonderful for parents and the grandparents to watch the kiddos play and chat. We loved the property, location, and the proximity to many day trips! Can’t wait to return next summer!

Perfect for all.

We absolutely enjoyed staying at this property. Plenty of room for our group. Everyone loved having their own bathroom. It was so peaceful and the scenery was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed sitting by the fire pit in the evenings. It will definitely be a memorable vacation and we plan to stay here our next trip back to the NC mountains. Thank you!

What a wonderful, private place!

We were looking for something private with no other people around, and this was it! We absolutely loved the property and the house. The back yard is the place to be, with the outdoor grill, bar, firepit, and river. House is super clean, everything is in working order, and very well supplied. We loved the house and are considering a return trip for next year. Everything needed was provided. Your location was ideal for the weekend. A place to wind down and also continue conversation. Perfect Location - Perfect Home

We thought we would not be able to enjoy our sibling vacation and celebrate my brother's 50th wedding anniversary. But thanks to this beautiful, secluded, luxurious cabin we were able to be together. Although we were not able to enjoy the local surroundings, the cabin is spacious, well equipped and has so many extras and upgrades it was absolutely perfect. If you are looking for the perfect quiet luxury space; this is it! Hope to go back when we can explore the area.

Celebrating my dad’s 80th

The pictures do not describe the beauty, and detail of the Helene’s home, Breath Taking!!I you need to walk-in and embrace it!! Family time at the River House

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house right on the River! The house was very well equipped. Everything was there that you need to have for a relaxing and peaceful vacation. The bedrooms are very large with comfy beds! It was cold so we must say that we loved the heated toilet seats! The yard was a plus because it was so easiy to get in and out for trips to the grocery store. In the past, we have stayed high up on a Mountain and every time you had to go out it was a chore. You don't sacrifice the view at all though. Its a beautiful property!

Christmas getaway

The house is beautiful, the only thing I didn’t like was that you don’t have a house ready for winter, heater didn’t work we didn’t have water until 2 pm every day, because it froze, I know you did everything you could to fix it but I think you should make sure you have all the equipment you need for this kind of “emergencies”

Exceeded Expectations

Pictures do not do this home justice. This was everything we dreamed of and more. The home was easily able to accommodate 2 families (8 people) and we never felt overcrowded. The owner has thought of everything. The large living room table was perfect for family breakfasts and dinners and the kitchen has everything needed to facilitate the preparation of meals. This was our 5th vacation to Franklin and by far our best stay. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home. I also want to point out that some of the other reviews mentioned the home was not cleaned properly and that was a concern going in but upon arrival the home was spotless.

Perfect house for quality family time

My family (8 adults and 2 grandkids) spent the weekend at this beautiful home bringing in the holiday season! The large family room, dining room, and kitchen were perfect for our plans for the weekend———watching Christmas movies, baking Christmas cookies, playing games together, and eating delicious meals! I loved that it was spacious enough that we could all be together in the same area and be comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for meal preparation and baking, including some spices! All the bedrooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were all high end with heated toilet seats and bidettes!! This home is located on a beautiful piece of land with gorgeous views. Because of the time of year and the rainy weather, we were not able to enjoy the outdoor kitchen and fire pit, but hope to return some day! Thank you, Helene, for being very helpful and responding quickly to our questions while booking the home!

Beautiful scenic Smokey mountains private with 7 acres and 2 horse stalls on riverfront best trout fishing river in area. View deer and turkeys and other wildlife right on the property. Smokey Mountain fish camp less than one mile. Tubing and Kyaking in the river. White water rafting nearby at the Nantahala River or Ocoee River. We are Located in the middle of Ruby and Gem mines. Convenience store less than one mile away. 6 Miles to the town of Franklin. Peace, privacy, nearby antiquing, great retaurants, Smokey Mountain National Park, Asheville, Gabling at Cherokee Reservation.
