Shanty Creek Bellaire -golf haven - 90 holes on resort- sleep18

A true ski in/ski-out experience at the base of Schuss Mountain. Thanks to the notorious bunk room, this spacious 2,500 sq ft. home sleeps 16-19 people comfortably. 6 Queen size built-in bunk beds with plugs in each bunk for phones, iPads etc. The bunk room also has an oversized sectional and TWO large TV's for double the entertainment! An upstairs living room retreat!

We cannot stress enough how convenient this Chalet is when you are skiing with children. It allows you to do a few runs come in warm-up and head right back out not skipping a beat! You can ski right into the BunkHaus from the blue char lift, which is visible from the BunkHaus's dining table. You can see Ivan's and the Schuss pool from our back-covered deck making this spot a PRIME location!!

The two master bedrooms on the lower level have King size beds with twin trundles underneath for added sleeping options for families in each room. The master bedroom #1 and #2 both have en suite full bathrooms. (Pack n play available for infants as well)

This is an amazing 4-season property! Great for skiers, golfers, reunions & summer fun! 5 championship courses just outside your door. Less than 10-minutes away is our private beach on lake Bellaire, with private access to tennis courts, sand volleyball, pickle ball basketball, clubhouse building with ping pong, children's playground, & picnic area. Short’s Brewing and charming downtown Bellaire are all 10 minute drive from The Bunk Haus! Torch lake can be access from lake bellaire by boat for a fun day exploring Michigan's lakes!

Guest access:
The entire home. The Bunkhaus is located next to Ivan’s Cafe to grab a quick bite off the slopes or walk over for drinks and entertainment in the evening.

The Schuss Village pool/hot tub/sauna that you will have access to with pool key card are conveniently located 30 yards away. The Lakeside Hotel pools are a 10 minute drive from the house. (Indoor open year-round and outdoor in summer only) Lakeview has a starbucks inside which is a nice to go pick up a nice iced coffee and go chill poolside!

NOTE: ***If the pool key card is lost your full deposit will be used towards the cost of replacement*** PLEASE KEEP IT SAFE :)

The unit was perfect for large group - especially kids. The host responded quickly to questions. The parking lot and sidewalk was extremely icy, no fault of the host as weather was unpredictable. The location is perfect ski in - ski out. Someone left trash bag on porch off of bedroom - but still no fault of host. There was a broken glass on corner of entrance - I feel someone slipped and broke glass - I think the location and experience was great for my kids.

Fantastic location for a summer golf trip. Amazing house and amenities. The sleeping situation with the bunk beds was awesome. Pool/hot tub/sauna right next to the house. Quick drive into town. Stay here!

This was our 18th New Year’s at Schuss Village, and without a doubt, this condo has been the best we’ve ever stayed in. The location is unbeatable, with perfect views that never got old, and easy access to everything Schuss has to offer.The space was thoughtfully designed and incredibly comfortable, with plenty of room for our entire group. It truly accommodated all ages and abilities, making it a perfect fit for families, couples, and multi-generational groups alike. Every detail felt well planned—from the layout to the amenities—so everyone had what they needed to relax and enjoy their stay.The activities nearby made it easy for everyone to stay entertained, whether you were looking for adventure or a cozy place to unwind and enjoy the views. This condo set the bar high for location, space, comfort, and overall experience.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to ring in the New Year and will absolutely be hoping to stay here again in the future!

Family Ski Trip

Had a fun weekend celebrating my sons 14th birthday! Excellent location with a very short walk to the lifts. Beats staying in a location where you have to shuttle or drive to the slopes. Perfect property set up to accommodate teens and adults. Thanks for having us!

Family Reunion

We had rented 3 houses for our family reunion. This one was the best property out of the 3. It was the best stocked, best gathering place, best place for cooking large meals and best accommodations for multi-families. The property manager was very responsive to our needs. Will stay there again.

The perfect up north getaway!

This place was fabulous!! It’s great for a large group as there’s more than enough space for privacy and gathering. The home was perfectly clean with plenty of resources so we were very comfortable all weekend, and the hosts were quick and kind with any questions. It’s far enough away to be in a quiet neck of the woods, but a quick drive to TC making it the perfect choice. The literal only negative is that it’s kind of hard to find with a GPS (google maps specifically as a FYI for others!). Would 10/10 stay here again and would tell my friends about it!

One of the best

This was a great get away for a large group! The house was well equipped with anything you may need, as if a real home. We loved how the bunks were separate so everyone can have their own space. Would love to stay in the winter to watch the fire and see the skiers! If you stay you will not be disappointed! Enjoy! And thank you for opening your home to our family😄

Ski getaway with the famiky

What an awesome place to stay! Included were 6 adults and 5 kids. So much privacy and room. Best of all - we could ski in and out. So convenient! All amenities were included and a real fireplace with all the wood to boot. The men were so happy! And me, a senior, could operate the tv! We will be back!

Perfect location!

You cannot beat the location of this property. So convenient (especially with little kids) the place is spacious enough that multiple families can fit. The bunk room was definitely a hit for the kids. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Property manager was very responsive to any questions we had. We just had one minor issue with checkin (key fob wouldn’t work) but the problem was solved right away. Would definitely recommend this place for a ski weekend.

Fun on the slopes

We really loved our time at this house. Here’s why. Location: you can see the blue lift right out your window. Very convenient for skiing in and out. Enough stuff: this place had lots of extra sheets, towels, blankets, pots/silverware, TP, and other needs for a big group of 16. Responsiveness: we had a minor issue that was addressed as soon as possible. The space was nice and clean, we loved the bunk room, and would definitely stay again.

Great Condo

This condo is much nicer and bigger than the listing implies. The kitchen is fully stocked, the beds are comfy, parking is easy, plus it is close to several golf courses, lakes, and hiking trails. There are three full bathrooms and the huge bunkhouse is really nice. Everyone said the Queen bunks were comfy and cozy. We want to come back in the winter. The owners are really nice and very responsive. We told them about the not-so-clean issue and they assured us it would be corrected. The good news is that the unit was fully stocked with cleaning supplies. I’ll admit I’m a bit picky. 🙃 We had a great time and definitely recommend this location for large groups.

Hi! My name is Genevieve and my family and I purchased the Bunkhaus to create family memories with our kids. We love Bellaire and find it to still be a hidden gem for skiing in Michigan. The charming downtown is a nice place to slow down and just enjoy up north Michigan. Our children ski and this home makes it SO easy to take them skiing or walk to the hot tub after a day on the slopes. We hope you enjoy our Chalet as much as we do!

This was a no-brainer for us. The accessibility to the slopes is hard to find at Schuss. We needed a place for our 3 families and this was it. The kids upstairs living area makes it big enough for kids and adults to have their own spaces. We also love having the pool and hot tub behind the chalet. We walk to Ivan's for a snack and then take the kids swimming after spending the day on the slopes.

The ski in and ski out ability makes this a true gem for getting the most out of your ski day! Lugging your kid's ski gear to and from the car gets daunting and tiring! This is a wonderful spot for a big group of friends or 2-4 families looking for a fun getaway!
