This mountain village, in the heart of the Arvan-Villard massif, is renowned for the emblematic Aiguilles d'Arves, its varied hikes, as well as the Étendard glacier which peaks at 3,464 meters, accessible from the Col de la Croix de Fer. A region rich in heritage, 12 km away, is the listed 11th century cathedral of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne.
