Boasting a stunning view of the lagoon and easy access to the best tourist attractions in the area, this vibrant condo has everything you need to slip right into relaxation mode in no time. Mara Laguna is a resort community tucked between a lagoon and the Caribbean Sea on Ambergris Caye. Situated about a mile north of central San Pedro, it is very easily accessible. Fly into San Pedro Airport and take a one-and-a-half-mile drive north on Laguna Drive to reach the resort, or fly into Belize City 36 miles southwest and get on a water taxi or motorboat ferry to access Ambergris Caye--a trip that usually takes about 75 minutes. Close by you can visit the beautiful Boca del Rio Park, good for swimming and fishing.

Step inside and you will be greeted by blue accents, stylish decor, and an open layout that will allow for easy mingling from room to room. When everyone works up an appetite, the full kitchen features an interactive layout complete with bar seating so the chef of the group can take advantage of the major appliances to whip up tasty meals while still being a part of the conversation. When days come to a close, the TV and free WiFi will be more than ready to assist in sharing memories on social media or streaming favorite movies. Plus, everyone can end the day with a favorite cocktail on the private patio or dock.

TV's had a hard time working, The safe was non functioning and the manager said the safe was for the owners only. Had three different keys that did not make sense. The laundry room door would not shut Location was nice, but you get what you pay for if guess

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient

We were at Mara Laguna for a very short stay (3 nights), but found it to be clean and comfortable. It's our understanding the master bed is brand new (we were the first or 2nd guests to use it) and it was very comfortable. Our teens said the bunks were comfy as well. We didn't really use the kitchen but it looked to have everything you would need. It was also very nice to have two separate bathrooms. The condo was airconditioned and the air worked great. We never did see the croc others talk about, but we did see a dozen iguanas. We even had 4-5 of them who were brave enough to come up on the porch with us. Really the condo has everything you need. It's not on the beach like pricier condos, but the lagoon views are lovely, and the ocean is just across the street. And being just north of the bridge it takes you away from the noise of the city of San Pedro, but still keeps you very close to everything. My one minor criticism would be regarding the toilets. Being on an island it's understandable that they're on a septic system. The manual left in the house says only toilet paper can be flushed (makes sense), but there were signs by the toilets saying to not even flush tp. This was confusing. So I would recommend making it clear in the listing which it is. And if you don't want any tp flushed then larger waste baskets (preferably ones with lids) should be next to the toilets. But the bottom line is that it was a clean, comfortable, and convenient condo for a good value.

We wish that you had alerted us to the issues with the toilet while in the home so that we could rectify the situation as we worked to fix the issues to which you had alerted us. Excellent lagoon views. Well equipped. Good ac. Laundry worked well. Cafe across the street was quite nice. My daughters enjoyed the friendly cats at the cafe. Neighborhood crocodile camped out on the dock. Very impressive animal. Nice property and well worth the price.

We loved San Pedro area. The house it self was cute and located in a good area. We did have issues with hot water with showers being VERY cold first thing in the morning. An extra set of keys would be nice, lock box was hard to operate, the front door handle felt like it was about to fall off, and last there needs to be better blinds in the bedrooms and first bathroom. I had to use a towel in the first bathroom and we had to use blankets on the sliding doors in the bedrooms. More specifics on what to do with trash and bottles would be helpful. The water jug started to get low as well. Thanks again to the family for opening their home. PS the gate security guys were always nice and friendly!

Great Condo

This condo was clean and nice. AC was cool. We’ve stayed at Mara 3 different times. The only thing that was a surprise was a huge 12ft croc that lived outside frequently so I couldn’t do my fishing like I wanted to. It was quite a treat to see. Even though the deck was inaccessible we still had a great time.

Fun travels

This condo is in a great location. Close to restaurants, bars and grocery store. It is a gated community, very safe. Staying at this resort is a cheaper way to enjoy Belize. Nothing fancy but it does cover the basics!
