The door locking system was terrible. Not able to open the door. The electrical system was broken in the kitchen. Had only one outlet that worked. The overall unit was okay.

Great time at Twist & Shout!

The theming is very fun! Great location to be able to walk around Two Harbors and explore the North Shore. The beds are incredibly comfortable after a long day of hiking, and the kitchen was fully stocked with anything we could have needed for cooking.

The host was very responsive and helpful. The decor was amazing. Every room had a retro, nostalgic, and fun theme. Cool lighting, unique furniture, and even the plates were special. The kitchen was well-equipped. There was a coffee station with flavors, plenty of coffee and more. Three TV's and a "fireplace". Cozy, clean and comfortable. What more could you ask for!

Up North

We visited the Duluth area for the 4th of July. We hit some hot spots: Split Rock Lighthouse, Black Beach, Gooseberry Falls, Betty’s Pies, Enger Park and the canal.Relaxed at the Twist and Shout. Enjoyed listening to music provided.Thank you for a great stay.

Twist and shout lives up to its name, super fun stay!

Location, location, location! Walkable to all the fun in Two Harbors. Fabulous fun 50s theme space, bedrooms and living space was comfortable and luxurious. We definitely recommend staying here.

Such a unique fun spot

Great little place with super fun decor. Walked to restaurants and bars which was perfect and just a short hop to hiking and shopping. What more could you ask for during a weekend with friends?

Nicely renovated older home would be nice even if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Nice place to hang out. Centrally located property could walk anywhere in town. Loved the experience.

Fun place uniquely decorated

We stayed here for our annual Mother’s Day trip. Very cute - clean and fun There are a set of killer stairs to climb so if you have folks with knee issues it is something to be aware of 😊

Exactly as pictured!

Over all awesome, but some problems with air conditioner control with kitchen very cold and bedrooms were some what too warm. Some flys coming in with air conditioning set up around window. Would stay again and recommend to others. Decorating was fantastic. Felt homey.

Fantastic place and awesome hosts!

We LOVED this property! It's the perfect getaway location in Two Harbors, within walking distance to many fun shops. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was large enough for multiple cooks! The nostalgic theme throughout was perfectly done and Janelle and Brad were excellent hosts - very good communication and they responded immediately to my questions when we booked and when we stayed. They even decorated for our birthday celebration!! I would definitely stay again and will recommend this property to my friends and family!

As CEO of the Lake County Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director of Lovin Lake County I have a strong passion for tourism, Entrepreneurship, business, and fun. My husband and I also own and operate a property management company specializing in vacation rentals. We want everyone to love the North Shore as much as our family does by providing amazing experiences for you to make lifetime memories.

This property is in the heart of Two Harbors. Within blocks to all the high lights. It is a historic home with amazing character. This property is currently home to 2 vacation rentals and 2 more in the making. My dream is to have themed special rentals for you to build memories in and enjoy all the special details they have to offer.

Twist and Shout is a testimony to the 50's. Well thought out details were put into the decor, the dishes, the music, the games every part of this unit we hope is a trip down memory lane or a glimpse of some to the greatest times. Play vinyl records, watch the lava lamp, curl up to movies, make popcorn, snuggle up in the round Marilyn Monroe bed, you will not be board in this special space! Our guests so far have given us rave reviews and can't wait to return with family and friends. We hope you take the chance and check out our Twist & Shout retreat!
