This spacious 4 bedroom, 2 bath private lodge is your new gateway to the North Shore. Located just 8 minutes outside of Duluth, this 2,800 sq ft., 3-acre sanctuary marries unmatched privacy with unlimited accessibility. Down the street a few minutes you'll find Lester River Park Trails & Playground, Brighton Beach on Lake Superior, Lake Superior Brewing, grocery store & more. Plenty of room for you and your group to spread out, relax and have fun, while still being near attractions and conveniences! Bring your snowmobiles/toys, there is a huge driveway to park your toys.

Lester River Retreat offers you and your group unlimited outdoor entertainment possibilities, featuring multi-teared outdoor seating, several decks for enjoying the different scenery, a beautiful new Nordic Hot Tub overlooking the private property, a huge back yard with large fire pit, and a huge garage party/entertaining room.

You'll love the spacious feel of the home that welcomes you with a calm warmth and relaxed mind that is hard to find these days. This beautifully updated home is fully furnished with high-end amenities like custom stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, fully stocked kitchen, dining area with incredible outdoor views, open concept living area, beautiful double vanity bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub, large bedrooms, and an expansive Master Suite with private deck.

NOTE: Early check-in and late Check-out available for a $45 per hr early or late Fee, when it can be accommodated.

NOTE: We provide a starter kit of paper products (TP & Paper Towels), and Shampoo, conditioner, Body wash, and lotion.

NOTE: Garage Party Room closed for Winter & early Spring months.

Exactly what we wanted

This is a great place that has convenient access to all of the amenities you need for a VRBO. It's easy to get into Duluth proper, while having a back yard that feels quite and isolated. It was exactly what we wanted and we had a great time.

Beautiful stay

We had an amazing stay at the Lester retreat! It is perfectly located near the town but far enough away to feel situated in wilderness. We were especially thankful for the large backyard and activities for our kids to run and play. Hot tub was an added bonus. We were pleasantly surprised to have two bathrooms at the property. Check in process was a breeze and the property managers were very communicative and helpful throughout our stay.

Trampled by Balners

In Duluth for Trampled by Turtles. First friend vacation. All 9 of us fit comfortably. We were pleasantly surprised to find a second bathroom. We would definitely stay again! Highly recommend!
