Welcome to Smoky Mountain Highlander, a charming 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath cabin nestled in Chalet Village—just 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Wake up to stunning views of Mt. LeConte from the upper deck with your morning coffee, or unwind in the hot tub on the lower deck as the sun sets behind the peaks. Inside, the main level features an open-concept kitchen and living area with vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a wood-burning fireplace—perfect for cozy gatherings.

The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests:

Two queen bedrooms, each with a full bath

A queen sleeper sofa in the lower-level rec room

A convenient half bath downstairs

The loft offers a quiet nook for reading or relaxing, while the rec room downstairs includes a pool table and lounge space that opens to the hot tub deck.

Located just 15 minutes from the excitement of Pigeon Forge, this mountain retreat offers both serenity and easy access to local attractions. Please note: roads are paved but steep—4WD or snow chains may be required during winter weather.

We stayed for the weekend and it was so great the host was so helpful we were unaware of the snow storm coming and the Host was just so informative about the area and the roads and it was great to have her checking in on us because it was a lot of snow that build up. Also everything worked flawlessly the hot water was great and the hot tub was nice and hot overall jus a great gateway for the weekend we couldn’t be more pleased with our stay thank you so much..

The views were gorgeous and the kitchen was fully stocked! It was very steep getting up the driveway but nice being at the top of the mountain. It took about 5-7 minutes to get into downtown Gatlinburg and over mountain which was super convenient! We loved staying here!

Wow, what a beautiful place! Within 15 minutes of getting there, we reached out to see if we could extend our stay. From the wood burning fireplace to the breathtaking views, it’s everything you would want in a relaxing getaway. Just be warned that the driveway is super tight and the road to get to the cabin is a super steep and windy mountain pass. We did our best to avoid driving at night.

The cabin was spacious, comfortable, and more private than I expected. The view from the deck is phenomenal, and we loved having breakfast outside as the sun rose over the mountains. We enjoyed the hot tub and even got a quick glimpse of two bears a level below peeking out of the woods! They scurried away at the sight of us (in case anyone feeling wary about them). The location was great - quiet and private, yet a very quick trip into town. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot, plenty of towels, and the TV setup made it easy enough to login to Netflix, etc. We would stay here again!

The mountain view was absolutely amazing. There's a nice deck with some chairs and a hot tub or a great view from the living room. A family of any age would be perfectly comfortable here. It's the right mixture of being tucked away and having some alone time and being right next to everything you need.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay here. The view was amazing, and everything in the cabin was very cozy. Only wish we could have stayed longe to take advantage of the hot tub and the game room! We would definitely stay here again.

My family and I very much enjoyed your cabin. Very spacious and had everything we needed. Roads are not too bad to get to the cabin. Collectively between all of us we seen bears almost everyday, one was even walking on our deck. I would definitely stay here again. We had a little problem with the toilet and it was immediately addressed. Thanks again for everything.

Amazing Cabin with Bear Sightings

This cabin was perfect for our family getaway! It was spotless and had everything we needed. Most evenings, we were treated to the sight of a mama bear and her three cubs playing on the deck—such a special experience. The kids loved playing pool, and the view was stunning. Highly recommend for a relaxing and unique stay!

Great place with minimal adjustments

We loved the cabin! Our children loved all the "levels". A few cobwebs but overall very clean. If I'm nitpicking, the view was slightly obstructed due to overgrowth but still a great view (just could have been better). Also, definitely a little friend running around at night. Lots of scurrying. We did get to see a momma bear and her cubs which just made the trip! We would return, maybe with a hatchet next time

Great location

Overall, the visit was good. The cabin was nice. It is a little dated and could use a little bit more cleaning. Remote controls are missing batteries. The stairs to the upstairs and basement are quite steep and probably not a good fit for small children or the elderly. Cabin was well stocked and they were plenty of towels. It would be helpful to have hooks or towel bars in the upstairs bathroom to hang the towels on. The drive to the cabin was quite steep and narrow. Larger vehicles would have a hard time turning around to go back down.

Overall the property was as stated. Seems like there may need to be some updates done. We loved the views and the quietness of the area. The location was great for us because we were there to do some hiking. The owner was very responsive when a need arose.

Not only is it a beautiful and clean cabin, the scenery is amazing! Shortly after arrival we were greeted by a bear. We know where we will stay when we return.

We had a wonderful stay, check in was fast and effortless! Host was amazing, very understanding and fast to respond! Had a small hiccup which host responded immediately and yook care of to the best of their ability! Thank you for letting us stay, would love to come back!

View. View. View. Location, location, location.

Great location! Very close to Gatlinburg and entrance to smokies. It’s a climb to get there but once we stepped foot on property it was an amazing feeling. Huge window and great back deck with a spectacular view. The basement was a great area to escape and play pool or just relax. The kitchen and 1st floor were perfect for family meals, game nights and bonding time.
