Single-storey gîte close to fishing lake. Pets welcome!

Where the good weather begins in France, you will find the Heart of the Mill. The ruins of the old water mill on the beautiful and vast lake let our thoughts go back to a distant past. The lintel from 1778 betrays the age of the old man of this once beautiful and rustic structure with its 50 cm thick walls. The 2 cottages are located in the old L-shaped house dating from the same period. The gîte les branches on the first floor consists of a living room with open kitchen with access to 2 bedrooms with 2 separate beds and access to the shower and toilet. There is also a place to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. The total surroundings exude the tranquility of times gone by. Getting away from all the hustle and bustle, a moment nothing at all...

Or at least! Walking through the paths and narrow streets, one enjoys the untouched nature with almost every turn a surprise: a real French scene, a deer or another magnificent view.

Not far from the geographical center of France, excursions in all directions are very varied. For example, visit an old town such as Clermont Ferrand, Vichy or Bourges, about an hour's drive away. But also closer, the Allier department offers a variety of day trips. Hundreds of picturesque villages, flea markets, cheese farms, the wine region of Saint Pourçain, no less than 500 castles and even an amusement park. Closer to home, it is an ideal environment for those looking for peace and quiet, walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers.

Back from the hustle and bustle, we choose one of the seats in the large green garden and enjoy a glass of wine or a beer. Or first of all a refreshing dip in the pool? Then light the barbecue and prepare a good Charolais steak, sausages or merguez. And sometimes we are lazy, we don't want to cook anything ourselves and we opt for a menu of Joke.

Tired of idleness, the evening falls and we marvel at the gigantic and clear starry sky and discover (once again) that the Milky Way really exists. Ouwaahhh, it's time to go to sleep. Tomorrow is another day...
