Great Spot Close to Orlando Activities

Vista Cay is a great spot. Close to the activities. The property management company was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with. (Our ice maker didn’t work and they immediately delivered bagged ice.) I wish the laundry wasn’t in the bedroom closet and that there were more glasses and silverware (but we never asked for these and I’m 100% sure the management company would have delivered).

Volleyball Nationals

We stayed at this property for the same event in 2022. During that stay, we were impressed that the unit provided large bottles of soap and shampoo and hairdryers in all bathrooms. This time, that was not the case. Wash cloths aren't even included anymore. There were three hairdryers in the unit, all in the lower bathroom. Two of them didn't work and the third sounded like it would explode. The kitchen is sparsely stocked. The unit is poorly maintained with the ground-level floor being in disrepair and repairs made throughout are shoddy. There is a sign stating the air can't be turned down below 72 degrees because it will freeze up. I speculate it's because they don't want to pay the power bill because HVAC inspectors will tell you central air units don't freeze up -- window units and PTAC units, yes, but not central air units. The location is great if you're heading to the OCCC daily, but there are many other units in this resort to choose from. Bottom line, it doesn't feel like there is any pride in ownership or effort to get return customers -- just get them in the door and provide the bare minimum.

Good but certainly not exceptional - but we were there to work a tradeshow

This is a great location for so many attractions and in particular the convention center. We always find a 3BR 3BA unit at Vista Cay. This was pretty average among 3BA units - short on niceties but cleanliness was great.

We loved our stay! It was perfect for our family and we loved how close it was to so many cute restaurants and, of course, the parks!

Nice place but needs a little finesse

The neighborhood is nice with nice amenities - a gym, a heated pool and a walking rail around the lake. The location is great. Close to Universal and the interstate to go to Disney or downtown Orlando. A few comments: Checkout time is 10 am which seems early. Regardless we were aware of the time. The owner or property manager knocked on the door 10 minutes before checkout to remind us about checkout time. We were busy getting ready to go and we’re annoyed because we were not late yet. The sheets need to be replaced. All of us felt as if there was sand in our beds but it was pilling on the sheets.
