Home away from home. Rickie was great at communication. He even went out of his way to provide us with life jackets for us not so good swimmers for kayaking. Very clean home. (We would have recommend “no plug ins and fragrances” because my husband is severely allergic, but after airing out the house and blankets it was a wonderful stay. We spent a lot of time on the dock and by the fire pit. (Note that the hill is steep going to the dock) We would stay again and recommend this place for any friend or family member. Town is only 6 minutes awayso…. Groceries, pizza and laundry mat are close.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. House was located in a remote area, which was nice if want to get away from city noise, it had easy access to water, the use of the kayaks was a nice bonus. It was quiet and very well kept! 10 out of 10 stars!!!!

Comfortable Cottage

The home was just as advertised. Very clean and comfortable. The Host was super responsive and helpful when I reached out with a question. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely River House

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is comfortable and tastefully decorated. Quiet neighborhood. My husband and daughter had a blast fishing. They caught and released at least a dozen catfish a piece. The walk down to the river pier is steep. Not something someone with mobility issues could do. We would stay again.

Could not park motorhome on property. Could not get to precise of road due to accident

We could not park our motorhome on the property due to trees and a one lane road to get to the property and then could not even get a car to the property because of a jackknife truck accident. The host was very kind to refund our money but we still have not gotten the rest of our money from VRBO. I will not ever book again with VRBO. They have not refunded us after weeks of asking.

Family vacation

Getting up and down to the lake was EXHAUSTING. It is across the road and down a long, steep hill. We also found a rat king that almost made me leave. That is a group of mice whose tails get tangled, and they eventually die in a ball. This thing was obviously there awhile. Other than that it was great. We were there for the ark and creation museum. We weren’t at the house much. It had what we needed when we were there but I felt the need to clean everything after seeing signs of rodents.

Took the grandkids to the Ark Encounter, had a great time at the cottage, everything was just as described and the Host was very quick to respond

Country Stay

We choose the Boyer Family cabin because we were taking our grandchildren to see the Ark. Not wanting to stay in a hotel with a pre-teen and a teenager. This was the perfect place. everyone had their own bed and there are 2 bathrooms. Although having use of a washer and dryer, would have been great.

Nice view of the lake

We enjoyed our stay but were surpised that there was such a slope to go from the cottage down to the dock. We are older and getting back up that last bit of hill to the street was an effort. Some stone steps might be a great addition! The indoor fireplace was very nice. The house was comfortable. The steps to the second floor are a bit steep. The kitchen is well equipped.

Amazing place. Clean, peaceful, roomy.. we will definitely return. Love the deck and balcony.
