Summary:

This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 full bathroom condo is steps away from all things Plaza or Westport in the other direction. Small quiet condo community surrounding a central courtyard with a fountain, this condo offers a tremendous location as well as all of the wanted amenities. It has in-unit laundry, a dedicated off-street parking space, central HVAC, highspeed Fiber WIFI, Smart TVs, a Keurig machine with coffee included and everything you should need to make this your home away from home.



The Space:

This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 full bathroom condo is steps away from all things Plaza or Westport in the other direction. Small quiet condo community surrounding a central courtyard with a fountain, this condo offers a tremendous location as well as all of the wanted amenities. It has in-unit laundry, a dedicated off-street parking space, central HVAC, highspeed Fiber WIFI, Smart TVs, a Keurig machine with coffee included, and everything you should need to make this your home away from home. Furniture, fixtures, paint colors and decor are subject to change. Bed configuration as well as floor plan will not change. Pictures are representative inventory.

Word of caution: this is managed by KC Stay, so don’t expect the “extra touches” of a normal VRBO. Communication and customer service on a booking issue was well below normal standards. At 3 am, smoke alarm batteries started beeping. Maintenance was responsive and fixed next day, but not ideal. The place is ok- but not well maintained or clean to a level you would expect. Location is good, and neighborhood is fine - but experience was not great.

Great Place

This was an excellent condo. Clean and close to lots of shopping. My sister and I are taking a girls trip to KC next spring and I’m hoping we can stay here again.

Good location with dedicated parking

We enjoyed the convenience of easy distance to the plaza. The beds are comfortable and sofa too. Great water pressure in the showers and the apartment was clean. Host offers extra things like pods for the Keurig. Check in and check out was very smooth. The kitchen needs some replenishment in silverware and seats at the table. No mixing bowls for example. If you are not intending to cook - you are just fine to stay here.

Nice and clean

The area was great! The place was very clean and they supplied all your body and clothes washing supplies. The email on how to get in the apartment is sent from a personal email and not VRBO so that was a little confusing, but the host was easy to get ahold of.

In KC for a B-ball game

We stayed one night for a basketball game at Rockhurst University with my wife, son and dog. The condo was very spacious, comfortable and clean. We loved the decor, layout and proximity to the Plaza with lots of restaurants and shopping. Street parking was also convenient and spaces were available in front of the condo. We will definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it.

Adorable condo. Great location, not great insulation between unit and the one above ;). Also pretty strong recreational smells. All not the fault of the owner. They do a great job!

Good Location

This property has a good location. Close to the Plaza and Westport. We have stayed here a couple times for a Chiefs game weekend. The two bedrooms are great with king beds in each and a bathroom for each bedroom as well. Nice common area for the living room and kitchen. Some things are in disrepair such as the bathroom doors, hooks on the back of the doors and simple things that could use an upgrade. Walls are very thin and you can hear people in the apartments above you and next to you. Overall good price for the location.

Great location. Easy walking distance to the Plaza and Westport.

Great location. Nice to have two bedrooms with king size beds. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Friendly neighbors. We would stay here again. Check in and check out were easy. That said, some things don’t work properly in the apartment. The clothes dryer does not work at all. (A shoddy repair attempt on the lint trap failed, leaving no circulation of air.) We tried to wash and dry a load on our last day and had to pack wet clothes for our flight home. Also, not all faucets work easily, and kitchen cabinet doors stick. All of these issues could be addressed with minimal cost.

A pig with lipstick

If you ever wondered what the lord of the River-dance sound like on meth this is the place for you. The unit above was extremely loud at all times of the day running back and forth non stop. The unit itself was dirty the showers had not been cleaned and there was hair throughout. One bright feature was the Nest thermostat that had a lockout of 68 when it was 16degrees that weekend. Towel racks and tp holders loose. We stayed for a short weekend the owner said he was out of the country so I didn’t bother contacting them but will try to help others avoid the place.

Not worth the price. Next time will stay in a hotel.

Location is good, however the unit is not well equipped. No frying pan, minimal cooking utensils, dishes, glasses. Maybe 10 clothes hangers (at best) in the unit. No place to put your suitcase, no dresser to put your clothes in. Had to put our suitcases open on the floor and live out of them that way. 5 gallon paint can in the closet. Outdoor grill advertised is not fit for use. Old crusty sponge and scrub brush left in the kitchen to be used for cleaning. Dirty refrigerator. Old washer/dryer. Dishwasher is not secured and tips forward when opened. Beds are springs and squeaky. Gate to property is broken. Cupboards and electrical switches were all simply painted over with white paint. No GFI outlet by the sink. Couch is comfortable. TV channels are good variety. Good location, but not worth the price. Next time we'll stay in a hotel. You'll have more furnishings and amenities in a hotel.

Pictures of unit were not the one we stayed in and unit smelled of smoke during entire stay

For starters, the pictures of the unit “posh” as the description says, were not the unit we were given. Our kitchen cabinets were brown and old, not white and new. Both bathrooms are older and could use major updating, especially if you’re going to use the term “posh.” The beds were extremely soft, which is not our taste, and the pillows were some of the worst I’ve ever had at a VRBO. The worst part of the whole experience was when we first walked in and it smelled like smoke. We thought possibly someone before us or the cleaning crew had smoked in the unit. We opened a window and that helped a little but each day it got worse. We did see people smoking around the complex but it almost seems like the ventilation is attached as it smelled so badly in our unit the whole time. All our clothes needed to be washed when we returned home and even my bags and purse smelled of smoke. It’s a shame because the location is good-close to a lot of restaurants and shopping, but I would never stay again because of the smoke issue.

Quaint place to stay

Property has some items that could be addressed.. one big one is maybe insulating the water lines and the area of the floor between the units as we stayed on the 1st floor and you could hear all the walking above you, their tv and muffled conversations, which is why the kids sounded so loud to us.. some of the cabinets need to be fixed as the hinges are broke or the towel holder behind the door needs to be fixed.. owners where very cooperative to fix the bed and let us check in earlier and leave later.. close to the plaza but it’s a bit of a walk..

Some Hicups

Overall the property was nice. We booked this specific property due to it's location and the fact that all prior reviews were 5 stars. The location is excellent. Just a few blocks walk to the Country Club Plaza and a short distance to Westport in the other direction. Unfortunately, the ceiling is not insulated so the first night the people above us were making a lot of noise and none of us were really able to sleep. We did not realize at the time the unit above was also a rental. When we contacted the host the next day he indicated we should have called him. Fortunately, those people checked out the next day and while another group checked in a couple days later, they were not as loud but could still be heard. The toilet in the master bathroom would not fill, you had to remove the tank cover and push the float down every time you flushed the toilet in order to fill the tank. The internet was not working. We would connect to it and as soon as any of us tried to work or use it, the connection would drop. Very frustrating. Those of us who had to work a little while on vacation had to find a local coffee shop. Hopefully the toilet and internet situation will be corrected for the next guests. Not sure what can be done about people staying above.

Quite Quiet

Love the location. You can drive or walk to plaza in just a few short minutes. Condo is very quiet, felt like we were the only ones there, but would see neighbors from time to time. Also nice having your own parking spot, that’s so important to have in a busy city.
