It was a well equipped house and clean.Even had a cooler and pool toys as it was the unit right beside the pool.We didn't try to find the lake access from inside the gated community, so not even sure if you can get down there. But did go down to the marina which is a short walk from the front gate. The closest good shopping is in Tilaran. Our family enjoyed having a couple days to just chill out and hang out by the pool.

Great unit in a good location. There is no lake access from the property, but there is a short drive away. Kitchen was very well equipped with stove, microwave, dishwasher, laundry, and anything else you could possibly need.

Beautiful house by the lake

The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The condo is nice and private, and location is very convenient since it is close to the main activities and restaurants in the area. Will definitively recommend this property to anyone that wants to visit Tilaran/Tronadora.

Condo in Puerto San Luiz

Condo was great…spacious, clean, photos shown are accurate. Check-in was seemless as well. Wish the pool was working as it was under construction and we didn’t know. Location was more remote than expected. Overall, nice family place.

Great Area to stay in for cooler temps and quiet

Property was as described. Had issues when first arrived because the gate code given in instructions was changed and not communicated to property manager or owner. Other guest let us in so it worked out. The beds are not the greatest and as older folks with bad backs they were not comfortable. Jonie, the property manager, was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. The pool was pretty dirty for most of our stay so did not use it as much as would have liked. Also, February is very windy there.

Nice house, good value

We enjoyed our week at this property. Very comfortable house. The check in experience was great -- the property manager was amazing and so helpful! Kitchen was fairly well stocked. No hair dryer, but the property manager graciously brought us one to use. Compared to other places we have rented around the lake, there is not as much privacy here with many houses in the small development and the pool house right next door. But, certainly not a deal breaker. We saw many birds, including toucans daily, right from the deck and even saw a sloth walking the power line down the road to the development! The local pizza place is great. Lake Arenal Brewery is very close. Location is good to get to Monte Verde and LaFortuna. We would recommend staying here.

Exceeded expectations.

I stayed in this new property listing as the first guest. There were a couple kinks that could easily be ironed out like the gate access code and the check-in process. The owner was excellent in communication so any issues were easily resolved. Other than that, this listing far exceeded expectations. The view is AMAZING. The house and furnishings are BEAUTIFUL. The full kitchen, washer/dryer, and air conditioner work great. The hot water shower has great pressure and looked out into the "jungle." The owner set me up with Netflix. The property is safe and easy to get to for my multiple day visit to Tilaran and surrounding areas. I look forward to using this Vrbo find again as I travel to Costa Rica often.

Excellent house! Super cute, great location with views and food options nearby. Very interactive local caretaker who can help with day trip plans. Would definitely go back!

Costa Rican adventure

This beautiful bungalow two en-suite bedroom and 1/2 bath, well appointed kitchen and linae, (washer/dryer) property is located safely within a gated community with guard… all unnecessary… very safe!! But feels luxurious. Very clean! Fabulous WiFi… local markets, restaurants, local town, amazing view and access to lake… and… perfect location to enjoy la fortuna, monte verde, beaches… amazing adventurous vacation!!

Perfect stay

This property was wonderful! Everything was working just as expected, everything was clean, the check in process was easy and the on site manager was so kind and helpful. The villa was spacious and comfortable. Some friends stayed in a few of the other villas in this gated area and some didn’t have air conditioning or had broken items (owned by other management) but ours was great! Would definitely recommend. The area was quiet and everyone around was friendly. Walking to nearby places was probably not really a great option but this is a short drive to nearby things. The view to the lake is great from the front porch. We saw a toucan land on a tree next to us while eating breakfast.

The property was exceptional! Spacious, excellent kitchen, amazing deck for outdoor dining and barbecues. Ample indoor dining space and breakfast/lunch nook provided ease of dining. The view from the deck overlooks Lake Arenal and the mountains in the distance. Numerous beautiful bird species came by and sat in the tree feet from the deck. The Keel-billed toucans were a welcome and gorgeous sight.

Great home with beautiful views in a nice subdivision.

Once we found the home, it was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning, watching the birds and monkeys. Views of the lake are breathtaking. It is a nice quiet, secluded neighborhood and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house. Lynell is a wonderful host and takes care of everything.

A Wonderful Stay

Wonderful Stay!

We, three senior folks spend 5 days in this amazing place, all was more than what we expected! We loved the house, spacious rooms, lovely details to decoration, high standards and clean. Bed so comfy, superb terrace with view to the lake, dinging area with windows to observe so many birds, amazing quiet nights. Supplies like washer/dryer, microwave, toaster, very new stove/cooker, coffeemaker, big clean fridge and much more. Could have done with one or two more cooking pots and a bigger pan, yet we did it. We loved to cook and dine together. The compound is in great shape, garden and maintenance very well and super friendly staff, ready to help instantly. We totally recommend the house and we would come back any time to stay even longer. The rental is by all means worth the price! Happy customers we were!
