This was a perfect stay for homecoming weekend. Plenty of space for seven as the listing states. The host reached out a few days before our arrival with helpful information and offered to answer any questions we might have. The house was stocked with all of the basics needs plus some extra treats. We would definitely stay here again.

We had such a wonderful stay! The house is better than described in the listing. It’s homey and cozy, and beautifully outfitted for a perfect weekend. Our host Michelle was lovely to communicate with, and she even had the house stocked with continental breakfast items for us, and a Penn State gift basket. We were visiting our son for Family Weekend, and it was so nice to have a homey and comfortable place for all of us to spend time with him in a great family room and game area. 10/10 stay, we would love to come back!

We grew up right here in State College! After spending a few wonderful years living out West in Leadville, Colorado, we relocated back home to Pennsylvania to be closer to our parents and lifelong friends. We acquired this spacious 2,300 sq. ft. retreat to serve as our own family base for visiting Happy Valley, and we love sharing it with fellow alumni, university families, and game-day visitors when we are away. Because this is our personal home-away-from-home, it is fully equipped with everything needed for a seamless, comfortable, and memorable stay.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We have rented many places over the years and deeply understand what makes a vacation rental truly exceptional. We know the frustration of properties that feel like sterile, empty spaces where you only go to sleep. That is why we chose this specific neighborhood and property. We wanted to create a place that is genuinely comfortable, packed with plenty of amenities, and built to be a destination you actually want to hang out in, not just use for sleeping.

この宿泊施設の特徴

What truly sets our home apart from other rentals in State College is the deliberate balance of massive group space, thoughtful premium amenities, and true local hospitality. At 2,300 square feet, this property is built for hosting multi-generational families and alumni groups who want to stay under one roof without ever feeling crowded.

Our most unique features are designed specifically around the needs of university visitors:
* The Sunroom and Backyard Sanctuary: Unlike typical neighborhood rentals, our bright sunroom and private patio back up to a peaceful, serene wooded landscape. It serves as a beautiful backdrop for a morning cup of coffee or an evening gathering under the string lights.

* The Ultimate Game-Day Infrastructure: We know how families travel for Penn State events. That is why we feature a rare double-refrigerator setup! You have a fully equipped main kitchen, plus a secondary refrigerator in the garage specifically to store extra game-day food, tailgating prep, and beverages.

* Space to Actually Gather: Hotels limit you to small, separate rooms with zero communal spaces. Our home offers an expansive open-concept living area with a 70" Smart TV and a dining table that comfortably seats 8. You get the privacy of separate, tech-ready bedrooms (all with individual Smart TVs and universal charging stations) paired with a massive main floor where everyone can relax, play board games, and make memories together.
