It was a great property and exactly what we needed. I did want to explain one tiny issue that occurred this morning as we were working on moving out. We couldn't get the pocket door to close. It was stuck. In the effort to try and pull it out (because we couldn't figure out why it was stuck), the little hidden handle thingy broke off. Turns out a loose screw on the inside side of the door (the small screw in the upper right side was loose and preventing the door to open. If we need to pay for replacing that metal implement, please let me know, and I'll PayPal or Venmo over the cost. I have a photo of it if you believe you need it. Thank you again for such a wonderful place. It was a godsend for us the last few days. Regards.

A beautiful place to stay. Met our needs well. Only gave 4 stars because middle bedroom was hot but it was a VERY hot weekend and hard for air conditioners to keep up everywhere. There was a fan to help. Otherwise, it was great!

Very nice and quiet area. Well maintained and clean. Very comfortable with a lot of amenities. There was even a new toothbrush if needed and razors. Didnt need them but it was a nice addition. We enjoyed our peaceful stay for a weekend getaway.

A reunion with a dear friend

If you need quiet, relaxing way to unplug(but still have wi-fi) There isn’t a better place to stay in Ohio than with John in Mount Vernon.Tons of space to unwind. Two great spots to sit outside and see cows mosey through a meadow in close distance and deer comfortable in their natural setting.So visit John, grab some good food to cook in the spacious kitchen and remember to enjoy the simple specialness of life.

Lovely Loft

Pictures were extremely accurate as to the amenities provided at the loft. Very tastefully decorated. The only complaint were the beds. A little stiff for my liking. But everybody's different.

Great Stay

The Loft at Granny Creek was perfect for our stay. It was super clean and comfortable. The property was only a short drive to town, but gave us that country feel that we remembered from childhood. I definitely recommend and will book it again when we come back to Mt Vernon to vist

Country getaway

A loft, so stairs...well maintained and easily negotiated...opening to a very clean, nicely appointed living space. Cozy with all the amenities you need and more. The setting with Fall colors was idyllic. Peaceful and near many areas we explored for food and shopping and antiques, while visiting family and attending a nearby wedding. Couldn't ask for more. Hope to return!

The Loft on Granny Creek

This was a perfect 2 Bed/1 Bath Loft for my friend and I. We were in the area for a 2 day Women’s Ministry Conference. The property is nestled back in a beautiful wooded area next to a creek with many Evergreens. It was very quiet and peaceful. The only thing I would recommend is a new mattress in the Master Bedroom. It was very uncomfortable.

Perfect on all counts.

I booked this wonderful location for my husband and a friend, who were competing in a nearby airgun competition. Both raved about the house and how comfortable it was. Highly recommend.

Perfect Quiet Getaway

This is our third year staying at this Ohio location. It is exactly as advertised. John is by far the most engaging and friendly host we have met on any VRBO property. The property is exceptionally clean, with everything you need. Grocery and dining options are within as short drive of the country setting. Highly recommend checking it out!
