Stoney Ridge Lighthouse

The lighthouse is located on 50 acres of wooded property on Rock Lake in central Minnesota (about 2 hours northwest of the twin cities). The 2,000 square foot lighthouse has seven levels, including the crows nest that is over 50 feet high, here guests can see over the canopy of the trees. It is a timber framed structure that includes 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The property the lighthouse sits on is connected to 500 acres of state land, there is ample room for snowshoeing, cross country skiing and endless walks in the woods. The small lake (11 acres) is about 500 feet away from the lighthouse and there is private access to the lake for the guests to use as well as a campfire ring. We provide kayaks, a paddle boat, and a canoe. There is a swimming raft in the in the middle of the lake for the guests as well.

Had a great time at this super cool lighthouse cabin! I’ve stayed in a lot of cabins and this was my favorite, so many floors for many guest and the view from the top is my favorite. The owners are very nice, plan to stay at their other treehouse cabin in the near future. Definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our time here! The light house is a really cool, unique place. We did alot of hiking and the hot tub was a welcome releif when we got back. Nice quiet spot. We will definalty repeat!

A beautiful location, inside and outside spaces perfect for socialising, the building itself is beautiful to look at. Its very remote and the lake was so peaceful to sit on fishing and swimming. Locals encountered on my morning runs were extremely friendly. We all played disc golf as the local area had many courses. Lovely holiday location.

We had 6 girls in the lighthouse and it was perfect!! We definitely utilized all that it had to offer from the swim platform, fire pit and hot tub. The Lighthouse definitely exceeded all of our expectations and we had the best time!! we will definitely be back.

The light house is amazing! Set back in the woods, with great views of the surrounding area from its top deck. Hot tube is an excellent extra! Extremely clean and well kept. It is in the right spot so you are only 10-15 mins from either town next to the light house. Will be back for sure!!

Incredible Stay

Absolutely loved our time at the lighthouse. Very unique property. Our time was quiet and peaceful. Didn’t get a chance to use boats or firepit, but both are at the end of what is essentially a short, private trail. Highly recommended.

Stunning!

The lighthouse was absolutely spectacular, very clean, 3-bathrooms which I failed to recall when booking - major plus. The place was exactly how it was described, even better in person. The location was perfect - many little towns nearby to visit. One heads up, there are a lot of stairs (obviously) to consider if elders are attending (though there is a very lovely ground floor bedroom. We definitely are planning to visit again in the Fall.

Perfect weekend getaway

Celebrated a couple 40th birthdays last weekend. The photos of lighthouse do not do it justice. The home is beautiful, craftsmanship and architecture to admire on every level. The hosts are available and easy to communicate with. Comfy clean beds, more bathrooms than we needed. Spacious kitchen and huge table to enjoy meals together. We enjoyed a fire by the lake, walking in the woods, playing games and putting together puzzles on all levels of the house. Cannot recommend this place enough.
