This ski-in/out home is located directly on the Sachem ski trail at Okemo, making it a perfect resting spot for guests looking for a mountain holiday. This multi-level arrangement offers ample space, with plenty of room to spend time together. Unwind in front of the wood-burning fireplace or soothe tired muscles in the private hot tub that overlooks the trail. Curl up on the plush furniture in the living room and enjoy a movie night. A desk workspace is included for guests that need to complete remote work assignments.

Cook something delicious together in the well-equipped kitchen complete with full-size appliances and a helpful prep island. Enjoy mealtime at the large, wooden dining table. Of course, cooking out on the private gas grill is always an option. Step out onto the deck and take in the views of the valley and the fresh mountain air. At the end of the day, gather around the firepit and plan the next day's adventures.

Check-in time: 4:00 PM.
Check-out time: 10:00 AM.
All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
This condo does not have air conditioning.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Property was beautiful. Kitchen was well stocked. We love the location.There was some confusion with recycling and the bags we were provided. We did contact the property management company and they were quick to respond. Would recommend a few spare garbage bags as we did eat meals in and had garbage.This property was listed as no pets, but one of the garbage can smelled terrible of cat urine. There was also trash in the containers when we arrived. We had a wonderful time and plan on making this a yearly vacation.

Nice and roomy. Plenty of room throughout the entire house. Kitchen area LARGE. back deck was nice with the hot tub. Ski run steps from the house. Really nice place.

Beautiful Getaway in Vermont

The property was exactly as shown in the photographs and was very comfortable and well equipped. We really enjoyed the deck, hot tub and yard. The location was very convenient to many activities in the area. Would highly recommend!

Great Ski Trip!

My friends and I had an amazing ski week here. The house's location to the trail couldn't be better, and the house had everything we needed to have a great week. The kitchen, living room, and bedrooms were all ample size, and we also spent much of our time by the outdoor fireplace or lounging in the hot tub.

Multi-family ski trip

This house was the perfect size for our group. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The access to skiing was great! The hot tub was a bonus after a long day. We will definitely be back!

With five children all under age of six, Wood Lantern fit all our needs! Clean, comfortable bedrooms, updated bathrooms & wonderful kitchen! The proximity to and location on Sachem Trail was perfect for our little skiers. The house has pretty views, heated flooring and large hot tub, definite perks for this family! We have been vacationing and skiing at Okemo for 25 years, happy to find this beautiful home. We look forward to returning next year!

Vermont Vacation

Despite unfavorable weather conditions and some activities being unavailable due to the recent flood damage, we had a wonderful vacation in Ludlow. The house was perfect for our group of 8. The 4 kids enjoyed the hot tub and playing hide-and-seek in the house. We did a lot of hiking and enjoyed the activities at Jackson Gore. We had one small issue with hot water, and it was rectified very quickly, and that was the only glitch we had. Overall, we loved the house and location and we would definitely return in the future.

Beautiful Home

We were staying in Ludlow for a family wedding in the area. The house was able to easily and comfortably accommodate our large party of 10. The kitchen was beautiful & contained all the needed amenities. Linens and towels were all provided and on beds and in bathrooms. The weather was warm & humid so the multiple fans including ceiling fans were much appreciated. The house was welcoming and clean when we first arrived & directions for closing up were straightforward and simple making for easy check out. The house is located on or extremely close to a ski resort so it would be very convenient and enjoyable for skiers. We enjoyed our stay very much and highlighted highly recommend the house to other travelers!

It was ok

There is not much to do during this time in the area. The closest attraction is at least 35 min drive. As per home, it was specious and the kitchen was equipped with everything needed but the home needs lot of TLC, the bbq is not working and even after requesting to fix the issue no one arrived. Overall aside from hot tub not much to do on rainy days.

Great Location and Site, Terrible On-Site Management/Cleaning

The Location was great with major set-backs that I would not bring my family back too. I really wanted to like this place. Management service was not clean, garbage giving bad odor from previous guests left in garage. Dog Poop On site Front Walkway and Litter, Urination and Cigarette Butts on front stoop, not strong Wifi Connection through out all the house.

Wonderful Home

Great location. This fully stocked home was perfect for our family of 10! Even though the rooms were on the smaller side, everything was well appointed and accessible. The bunk room is really tight but we managed. There was no access to Netflix or any other Internet TV options because their fire stick was not working - the small den provides a fire stick TV and our kids piled into that room but my suggestion is bring your own. The washer and dryer are really old and I’m going to assume need to be replaced real soon. The hot tub worked well. The heat and fire place worked perfect. The house has tons of games - we brought our own. Overall, the owners have well maintained this lovely home.

Amazing location - Management company Vacasa difficult to communicate with

Amazing location right on Sachem. House was well laid out very comfortable for two families. Only issues we experienced were dealing with the management company Vacasa. I asked if we could park one car at the property (there is room for 5) a couple hours prior to check in to avoid having to park at the base and move it again while we skied and was told it would be towed and suggested I go to parking.com to locate nearby parking - clearly this was not someone local/ familiar with the area. Not a big deal - but a sign of things to come. When we tried to use the dryer we saw there was a large piece that had broken off and was just left inside the drum. We attempted to use it and realized there was a sharp piece of broken metal inside that damaged several items including an expensive jacket. When we tried to use the oven it would not turn on and the only assistance we received from Vacasa was “unplug and then plug it back in” so we were unable to cook the meals we had brought with us. These things happen- but when we brought it to their attention so the owners could at least be made aware and have the appliances replaced or repaired for future renters - we received no response or apology from Vacasa. If we had known we could have planned meals and packed accordingly and it wouldn’t have been an issue.

YES--this is an excellent rental choice!

Beautiful house, very clean, very comfortable for our group of 9 in June '23. Property was as seen in photos. A bargain in the off season! Don't be confused by the description which reads, "This rental is located on floor 1." WRONG! You rent the entire house--all 3 floors. This is not a shared space. VRBO or Vacasa need to update the listing. Bathrooms and kitchen are modern and lovely. (except the ground floor bath--functional, just not renovated & gorgeous like the others.) Hot tub was incredible. The BBQ grill was missing the heat shield under the grates, so was not safe to use. Microwave malfunctioned, but local property manager replaced within a day. Suggestion for owner: move bunk bed/trundles from 3rd floor to ground floor bedroom. (and switch ground floor furniture to upstairs.) That would make bathroom sharing more equitable. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. 1 is the master and has ensuite bathroom. The other 2 bedrooms, with potentially 8 guests if maxxed, share one bathroom. Ground floor has 1.5 bathrooms, making it more logical to have 6 guests using them. Kitchen had everything you could want, including a junk drawer with scissors tape etc and a stack of disposable food storage containers-perfect for leftovers, and a drawer with foil, saran, etc. Unexpected but appreciated little bonuses! We were there in summer so steep gravel roads were no problem, but in winter be prepared with 4WD!The neighborhood is full of stunning ski chalets.Very quiet, beautiful views!

Great house! Huge price hike disconcerting..

The property was perfect for our annual family gathering. This is our 2nd year using this house. We would like to continue in future years but the huge price hike may make it impractical. Can’t say enough great things about the house, but Vacasa (property manager) is not easy to work with.

great house

other than our kitchen sink is clogged, we could not do any dish cleaning for the last 2 days, everything else is perfect. Things like this happened which i understand. however, we called service 3 times and they keep saying the maintenance team is coming, but no one showed up by the end. so it is a bit problematic if other things happened that is more urgent than a clogged kitchens sink. overall we had a good stay. just feel bad for the cleaning lady they have to deal with a messy kitchen with dirty dishes.
