Good Location
The location of this property is good, right off a highway and around 15 minutes from downtown San Diego. Overall, this functioned for what we needed, but the general lack of upkeep does not make me want to return. I've detailed below and will note that all of these put together is what influenced my rating.
The house is functional, but it's certainly not renovated. The shower leaked down along the wall; the toilet wobbled, which was unsettling especially since there was only one bathroom. A heads up for those looking to stay with many people, the third bedroom is separate off the backyard and it only appears to be able to lock from the inside.
Heat seemed to be coming out of the units, despite the thermostat being off. The garbage can was broken, there was a lamp that didn't work, along some damage to the walls in a couple of spots, the windows were held shut with sticks, and covered with really thin curtains.
Cleanliness was not great, for example, we rewashed any dishes/utensils before we used them, and noticed some stains on the living room couches. The fire pit had leftover items inside and backyard lawn had many piles of dog leavings.
This was realistically an app issue, but I had to reach out to the host for check-in information, as it didn't come through. They got back to me quickly and were understanding of the situation, providing the code to enter the property, and there were no issues once this was communicated.
