Beautiful view, nice neighborhood

If you’re thinking about staying in Vina del Mar for New Year’s this is the place to be. The large windows and glassed-in balcony have a perfect view of kilometers of waterfront along which massive fireworks celebrations occur.The apartment itself is clean and compact, with everything one needs for a stay of a week or more. We felt safe in the neighborhood and there is a doorman 24 hours (although they didn’t challenge us, even when they hadn’t seen us before). There are several minimarts, bakeries, and restaurants within a few blocks. A beach is nearby, but there is a large road directly in front of the apartment’s building that makes getting to the beach a bit more complicated (e.g., crossing that big road with little kids would not be fun!). The noise from the road also meant that we kept most windows shut most of the time, but it was not otherwise bothersome. The property manager was kind and helpful and made everything easy.We would certainly stay here again.

Excellent stay excellent view

This was the perfect family getaway over New Year’s Eve! The location was great with easy access to the beach, coffee shops and minimarts and great views of the fireworks. The place was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Host was communicative and gave recommendations and even was able to get an extra parking spot for us in the garage. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Elegant Apartment with a Beautiful Ocean View

We had an amazing weeklong stay in this gorgeous apartment with a spectacular ocean view. Everything was beautifully furnished and recently renovated. It had all of the essentials we needed for a very comfortable and welcoming stay. The front desk staff was always warm and welcoming and the check-in & check-out process was extremely efficient. Any questions we had was answered very quickly and we appreciated all of the care Francisco and his staff provided to us throughout our visit. You will not be disappointed with this fantastic apartment and very walkable neighborhood. We hope to return very soon.

Fabulous apartment, location and hosts

This was a wonderful place to stay in Vina Del Mar. The hosts were extremely helpful and accessible and helped make our stay comfortable and fun. The apartment was extremely clean and well set up. It is compact but well laid out and very comfortable. The view is fabulous. I wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to be back!

Lovely apartment

The apartment felt like someone's home, fully equipped, it even had screwdrivers in case someone needed one. We used it as a Basecamp so we didn't explore the neighborhood (which seems residential) We used a car to get around. Thank you for letting us use your home!

Beautiful apartment

Beautiful apartment with an incredible view. Very well equipped and with quality furniture. Exceptionally clean. Angela was always available if we had questions. We spent 6 weeks and cooked a lot. The area is residential and there are some little shops (bakery, groceries, hairdressers), downtown is a long walk away but it is easy and cheap to go around with Uber. The highway is noisy, and can be an issue for some at night in the main room but not in the other two rooms. For us the view compensates for the inconvenience. The small pool is nice for the sunny days. We enjoyed very much our stay.

Perfect!

We enjoyed everything about our stay in this gorgeous apartment: spotlessly clean, safe and secure, walking distance to shopping and excellent public transportation, quiet neighborhood, unbeatable view, furnished beautifully and equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Great stay - well located, very well appointed apartment with an astounding view

Angela is a wonderful host - welcoming and extremely organized. She has literally thought of everything you might need for a comfortable stay and ensured it is available. The apartment is exactly as advertised - clean, well stocked, comfortable and stylishly furnished. The location is fantastic, an easy walk to bakeries, cafes and the like. Buses, colectivos, trams and taxis to Vina del Mar and Valparaiso are also within an easy walk. Finally, the view from the enclosed balcony is amazing!!!

Wonderful three days in Vina del mar

Stunning views and great light

We had a lovely stay in Vina del Mar at Francisco and Jan's apartment. Everything was as expected, and the views and light are outrageous. The apartment is well equipped, spacious and perfectly situated by the ocean and for excursions into Valparaiso, by light rail, bus or taxi. We had the opportunity to meet Francisco and Jan in person, and they gave us good neighborhood information and were very responsive. We enjoyed exploring Vina and Valpo, but it was hard to peel ourselves away from the endless views. Thank you to Francisco and Jan for a great experience.

Wonderful place!

There were four adults in our party and this apartment was perfect. We realize how lucky we were to stay at this apartment. It was warm and inviting from the first step in the door. First you are greeted by Angela, the housekeeper, who shows you around the apartment. Fresh flowers and fruit greeted us on the table. The view is spectacular. The accommodations wonderful. The apartment is clean and very well maintained. It has all the amenities of home and then some. There is a washer and dryer which came in very handy. The beds are very comfortable and we slept very well. The sunsets over the ocean are spectacular. The building is secured and the staff at the desk were always pleasant and friendly. We took the Metro which is located close to the apartment and took Ubers easily around town. You will not be disappointed if you reserve this apartment.

Wonderful stay in Chile!!

We had five adults stay in this place in mid October (2016) and it was perfect! The unit was exactly the way it was described, and the views from the apartment were breathtaking (even better than the pictures). The host onsite (Angela) met us on arrival and was very cordial, pleasant, and helpful. She even brought flowers to welcome us to Chile. We used public transit for most of our stay, and this place is located just a few blocks from the Metro trains and the bus system. We also arranged to use the car one day, which was terrific. The building itself is clean, well-kept, and secure. We appreciated the kitchen, the washer/dryer, and the very comfortable beds that were in this apartment. We talked to Francisco (the owner) a couple times while planning our trip and arranging for the use of the car, and he was gracious and accommodating from beginning to end. The hospitality we experienced on this trip was wonderful. We highly recommend this apartment!

Everything is perfect!!!

We stayed at this beautiful apartment in the middle of July, and it was fabulous. For most of the visit, there were 5 of us (two couples and one teenager), and for several days it was just the three of us. Francisco’s place was perfect for both of these combinations. As someone who has stayed at many places that don’t look at all like the pictures, I can assure you that this place looks even better than the photos, which is hard to imagine, but true! Francisco has thought of every single detail to make this place fantastic. The internet was wonderful (15MB down, 2MB up) and allowed me to use my VOIP to make crisp phone calls to the US with no annoying delays or echos. The sheets, pillows, and beds were absolutely amazing – he must have brought those in from somewhere else, because I have never slept on sheets like that in Chile. The master bedroom was particularly heavenly, with a wonderful view from the bed AND reflected in the mirror. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could imagine, and we used the kitchen early and often to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And the living area is absolutely incredible. Although I had to work the entire time I was there, the views from the dining room, living room, and the enclosed terrace were breathtaking and made working almost enjoyable! The heating kept us toasty warm on the cold days and at night, and we were able to open the windows and let the breeze come through on warmer days. Angela, the caretaker, gave us a detailed orientation to the apartment when we arrived and was attentive to our questions while we were there. Although the apartment is not located in Vina del Mar proper, this is actually a benefit, as it keeps you away from all of the congestion and hustle and bustle and allows you to truly relax. We walked and took collectivos into downtown Vina del Mar, and both were very acceptable options, depending on whether we wanted a bit of exercise or were going to be loaded down with groceries. We had amazing seafood, some of which we bought from the vendor down the street. Francisco is a great host, attentive to all the details from start to finish -- including fresh fruit and flowers on arrival and speedy return of deposit after departure. You truly get what you pay for here. Although the rates are higher, they are definitely worth it for the experience. We will be back, that much I know! Thank you again Francisco for a wonderful time!

Lovely Through and Through

Our multigenerational family of five stayed for three nights at the start of Chile's winter season. The weather was wonderful, warm and sunny. The apartment has central heating, was spotless, and is equipped with every accessory you could ask for. The property manager, Angela, was lovely and helpful and even outfitted the apartment with fresh fruit and flowers for our arrival. The indoor secure parking spot for our rental car was a huge convenience. Vina del Mar was the perfect home base for trips to Valparaiso and Isla Negra. Francisco, the owner, was prompt and professional and has an infectious enthusiasm for this beautiful paradise by the Pacific. We felt like we were home the minute we arrived and would go back in a heartbeat. We highly recommend this property to travelers of all ages, book your flight and go now!

My wife and I have lived in Minnesota USA since 1985, have 4 kids all raised in Minnesota. I am a Chilean from Santiago and my wife is from Minnesota. We purchased this unit for my family of 6. We travel to Chile at least once a year and my wife and I sometimes 2 times a year. Staying with relatives is wonderful but not very comfortable. We included all the conveniences of a well-equipped home in the US, that typically are not included in Chilean vacation rentals. Believe me!! We like summers and also winters in Chile, really any season is great near the ocean. This property is located close to everything and well connected to high-speed highways, subway and public transportation of all sorts. We like to have access to the city and the many beaches plus a majestic truly unobstructed, first in line view to the Pacific Ocean. We like the good food and wines of Chile and its gorgeous landscape plus skiing in winter, you have to check it out. Various ski resorts are close enough for a days trip, get up early and be at the hill by 9 AM (2.5 hours trip). Viña del Mar is one of Chile's most fashionable beach resorts and a great place to take a vacation if you want to go to the beach and relax. The town was founded in 1874 as a weekend retreat and garden residence for the wealthy elite from Valparaíso and Santiago, and it has remained a top beach destination for Santiaguinos ever since. Most simply call the city 'Viña' The sight of Viña del Mar's attractive homes, manicured lawns, and golden beaches dotted with colorful surfboards is something of a contrast to the ramshackle streets of Valparaíso. There are plenty of fine beaches here. Viña del Mar is a busy place in summer but with many FUN and diverse activities, close to Santiago, the capital for a day trip.
