The Golden Sands, located in Ocean City, offers everything a vacationer could want without needing to leave the building complex. Enjoy the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, oceanfront volleyball, and game and exercise rooms! During the summer season, visit the beach bar and grill, sandwich shop, convenience store, and gift shops.

A well-rested vacation awaits at this charming, family-friendly condo just steps away from the beach! It's well-equipped with everything you and your guests could ever need to spend an unforgettable time together. It features a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, central air-conditioning, a private balcony with terrific views, on-site washer/dryer for your laundry needs, comfortable and inviting furniture, and TV with cable.

Things to Know
The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed.
The indoor pool and large outdoor pool will not accommodate children in diapers. There is an outdoor kiddie pool provided for children in diapers.
Per building management, cannabis is prohibited everywhere on the Golden Sands grounds.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Week vacation

Tv was broken in bedroom causing us to have to stay on the pull-out couch with our young son.We contacted the property manger about the tv issue and were told to contact xfinity ourselves. We found old dry food throughout the room and in the pots and pans when we went to cook. We also had stains throughout the sheets and blankets. Were highly disappointed, and to make matters worse no one has reached out to address the issues.

Disappointed in our stay

Our TV in the bedroom was broken which caused us to have to sleep on a pull-out couch the entire stay there, we did call multiple times about the issue once being told to contact xfinity ourselves. We also found old dried up food throughout the room, including in the pots and pans when we went to cook. We also found multiple stains on the bedding when we went to go to sleep, thankfully we ended up bringing our own. We are very disappointed and to make matters worse no one reached out to resolve the issues.

Nice fit for Family of 4

We had a wonderful ocean front experience in OC,MD at the Golden Sands. This apartment was perfect for a quick, long weekend, off season get away. The place was clean and all of the utilities functioned as we needed. Passwordless high speed WIFI was capable of handling all laptop needs, kids video needs and TV streaming. Entry, check in and exit were all very convenient and the overall building was fine for our purposes. For the amazing rates that you can reserve this apartment at, we would come back for sure.

Needing some R&R

The ocean and bay views were the best part! Easy access, lots to do if we had brought the supplies along for tennis, volleyball, shuffleboard, or pickle ball. We loved the calm of off-season.

Great place. Only recos. Fix highly sticky screen to terrace. Super hard to open and close. Rugs and swivel chairs could use a good cleaning. Kitchen faucet needs to be repaired - has a leak. Fridge, counters, bathroom very clean. Would stay again.

Mostly pros, a few cons.

We had a great time here. It was our first time in Ocean City. The condo itself was pretty great. Our only complaint about it is the double bed. We knew it was, but found out we just couldn’t both sleep on it and my husband ended up sleeping on the couch while I slept in the room with our kids. They enjoyed the bunk beds. I think a queen bed would fit fine in that room if you lose the nightstand. The sofa is a sleeper, but was more comfortable as a couch. There is a trundle bed on the bunk, but that would require shifting furniture around. The building has a lot of great amenities, but it takes so long to get in an elevator that it became more painful to come and go on a whim. There are four elevators. I only ever saw three working and the third one was only for a wedding party and guests. We waited 30 minutes to get on an elevator a couple of times and it’s a ten minute wait usually at best. I’m not sure why all four elevators can’t function? That was the biggest negative- too many people and too few elevators.

Loved it but here are things we didn’t know before booking

We loved our stay here but here are somethings I didn’t know before booking. Linens/bath towels were provided as well as laundry detergent, dish detergent, shampoo, and bath soap. Also, you can book through Vacasa directly, which possibly could save you money? Amazing view and right on the beach with lifeguards. The outdoor pool was great. The indoor pool and arcade were not what we expected but we enjoyed the food at the bar on the deck. Be aware that OCMD food is overpriced. We made breakfast in our condo but should have planned for another meal in. Hope this helps! Would definitely do again.
